 + -1 moreThe sales staff at the store were very informative and helpful and ultimately saved me from the bait and switch I would have gotten myself into with Lowes had I gone with them. They helped me select a similar grade carpet and pad (knowing my budget) and made a prompt appointment to measure my home for a quote. No hidden fees in their quote - a turn key job and significantly lower than Lowes. I even called Lowes to confirm they were confident in their bid. No contest. Lowes was way higher. We ultimately didn't hire Allison Flooring because we ended up not replacing the carpet at all. I would definitely call them in the future. They are worth consideration if you are looking for flooring.
Description of Work: I was shopping for basic grade carpet to put in a house I was about to list. I wanted to comparison shop against the Lowes stain master carpet promotion running at the time. They helped me select a comparable grade carpet and provided a full service quote.

 + -1 moreMixed reveiws. First the postive.I found a carpet that I liked to replace a carpet that we had in our den. The saleslady, allowed me to take samples home and my husband and I agreed on a style and color. I returned to the store and ordered the carpet. I told the saleslady tht we wanted it delived and installed. At thispoint i was pleased with the service I received. The problam came with delivery. In two weeks the saleslady called and told me to come pick up my rug. I told her that we had no way to do that, and agreed to pay for delivery and installation. She told me that she would call me back to set up a time. I did not hear from her that day. The next day she called again, and agreed to set up a time for delivery. She did not call back. This happed again on the third day. Finally on the fifth day,as I still had not heard fron her in two days; I called the store and insisted that she set up a day. She agreed and said that the rug would be delived the following Moday. At 9:00 the door bell rang, and the delivery men arrived. George and his helper were courteous and professional. They installed the rug to our specification. This revews would have been mch better if i had not been given the run-around on deivery.
Description of Work: I ordered a rug that was made from carpeting and bound to make an area rug. It was ordered, and was told that it would take approximately two weeks to come in and be bound.

Description of Work: I called Allison Flooring and was told that the woman who gives estimates was out. I was asked if I wanted her voicemail and I left a message with my name, number and what type of flooring I was shopping for. She didn't call me back until a week later. She said she'd be out with samples and came late. I asked for an estimate, 2 weeks went by and I left another message on her voicemail. She called me back and apologized for my estimate having been "buried" under paperwork and was sorry she forgot about me. She brought the 3rd estimate I'd received (from different companies) and the Allison estimate was almost double the other 2 for similar materials, etc. I asked her why it was so much higher than the other estimates but I don't recall her answer.I called the next day, was transferred to her voicemail again, and left a message that when she's in the neighborhood, please pick up her big box of tile book samples. I still have them almost 3 months later. Glad I didn't have $$ invested!

 + 0 moreThey did a great job. I could easily recommend them.
Description of Work: They removed the carpet on the stairs, including the landing, the loft area and the largest upstairs bedroom. (we use this room as a home office) They then installed vinyl flooring that looks like hardwood. I requested an extra trim pice running the perimeter of the landing and loft. This was done with great skill and attention to detail. The results are beautiful. The installers (Mike and crew) were courteous, punctual and took great care with my furniture. I failed to mention that they moved all the furniture then replaces it when the floors were complete.
