A little background on our situation. We wanted to install a laminate floor in one of the rooms in our home. We prepped the whole room and started to install the laminate. We figured we could do it on our own. After spending an entire day trying to install 2 1/2 rows we gave up. HGTV makes it look so easy. Alas! It is not easy. I contacted Neal on Friday around 10 PM. He responded that evening. On Saturday, I responded and I was able to get a time set up with him on Sunday, the next day. Keep in mind this was Thanksgiving weekend. I was stunned at how quickly Neal took care of our situation. He did a fantastic job on the floor and we couldn't be happier. We have many home projects lined up that Neal will be taking care of for us. He is a God send.

Neal and his crew were excellent! Not only was the work done in a timely manner, Neal and his crew arrived prompt everyday at the agreed time (8:30AM in my case). Working with Neal was truly a pleasure and I have already recommended him to several friends. The quality of his work was great! Even better, Neal was willing to remove some already installed back-splash tiles that were off-color and replace with a different set of tiles (I didn't notice the tiles were off-color until it was too late and already on the wall!). I highly recommend Neal and his team - when factoring in price, quality, professionalism and overall experiences, there is really no better! Neal is a jack-of-all-trades and can probably help with any of your remodeling needs.

Responses were slow and unprofessional. They didn't know what a subfloor was and suggested we try a foundation repair company. More details were provided and the only response was "Sorry we can't help"

Used Neil and his crew to lay hardwood floors in 800 feet of our main living areas. They were very professional, always showing up on time and working quickly until the job was completed. They had to grind down several portions of the cement before laying the floor. I really appreciate that they took the time to do the job right. I would defiantly use them again!

One of Neals' best assets is his crew. The guys were here on time every day, were very polite and professional, they cleaned up after them selves and made the big project as easy on us as possible. Neal kept us posted all along the way, had us use his suppliers at the best possible rates and saved us money everywhere he could. I have given his name and number out at least 7 times and am happy to refer him and his crew.

From start to finish Neal was easy to communicate with. The floors look beautiful, and I would definitely use him again.

This is my second job with Neal and his crew and they always do a fantastic job. So easy to work with and is always trying to make sure the client is happy. I highly recommend Neal and Lawton construction and I will continue to use him for future projects.

Neill and his guys showed up on time, put down protection for carpets and wood floors. GREAT craftsmen, mitre joints were tight, sheetrock work exceptional. They cleaned up everything after the work. MOST PLEASED!! Highly recommend these guys.

Neil is always available to answer questions and he kept in good contact throughout the process. What stood out was that they answered questions and the quality of their work was good.

We selected another contractor who provided timely, thorough estimate of the job.

Neal and his crew were on the job within a short time and worked continuously weather allowing until the work was done. The paint job is excellent and the look of the home and garage much improved and the tiled drive looks new with the seal. Neal goes over and above the high expectations that I have. Thanks to him and his great team.

He did a wonderful job. Work was very professional. We would hire him again in a heartbeat. He has also done work for us in the past...replaced/installed door locks in all my doors. We would recommend him very highly. His prices are highly competitive

Neal and his team did an excellent job of installing the marble floor tile. Lot of the friends who came to our home commented on how great the floor looks. About 5 of them took Neal's contact information. They had to remove ceramic tile that is there and clean up before installing. The bamboo floor came out excellent. He also replaced the base boards and crown molding entire down stairs. The workmanship is excellent. He offered some suggestions on what we were thinking and frankly we liked his idea better so we went with that. He also installed tile in the front porch and back patio which look great. I will definitely be using him again for another small project we are thinking about.

Hired them for Sheetrock repair and wall texturing and they put plastic down throughout my house wherever they were walking or working...I was pleased about that. The quality of work was excellent too. The owner Neil took a couple days to return my initial call, so wasn't happy about that, but it ended up working out well. My son and I picked Neil's brain about miscellaneous repair work and it turns out the guy is super knowledgeable about everything house related, and he was open to offering tips and tricks which was cool. Will definitely use them again

Big thumbs up to Neal for offering to perform the job on a Sunday in our new and still vacant home. We have a LOT of tile in our new home and several pets and the work they did on the grout prevents staining beyond our expectations. Prompt, professional, and reasonable. Plan to use Lawton in the future.

They were awesome. Prepared the area by covering with plastic. After the work was done they cleaned up. I had Neal come back to install 2 more recessed lights - he was awesome about having to come back. They were ON TIME (which is a miracle these days). I met Neal when he did a project at a friends house and was so impressed with his work I asked him to do this work at my house.

The salesperson seemed rushed and not very thorough.

The work went extremely well. The costs we paid are for labor only as we purchased the paint and knobs. Note that Neal did not charge extra for picking up materials. Neal's price did include primer, and supplies to perform the work. Neal and his crew were originally only installing wood floors in my den and hall. They did an outstanding job of installing the floors. When I had issues with another painting contractor, Neal told me he could do the work and bid for the painting work. His prices were more reasonable than the original contractor and the quality of his work was great. I originally planned to just have Neal and his crew work on the kitchen, laundry room, and half bath. Everything looked so great after his crew was finished with these areas, that they performed the extra work on the den, front hall, and guest bath. We are really pleased with the overall job and are enjoying our house looking so much nicer. There was one mistake made, one of Neal's crew started removing wallpaper from the guest bath. Neal included the guest bath in the work to correct the mistake. I appreciated that he took responsibility for the error and made it right. The walls were painted with latex. Cabinets and trim were painted with oil-based paint. Window sills and cabinets were repaired prior to being painted. Neal Lawton and his crew are on time every day, they are responsive and follow up is superb. The quality of the work was outstanding. Neal wants you to walk through and inspect to make sure that the work being done meets your expectations. His crew cleans up well every day. At the end the clean-up went above and beyond. Neal came out after the job was completed and we walked through the job. His crew came back to perform touch-ups. They even did some extra work and put in grab bars in the master and guest baths, and a new shower curtain rod in the guest bath. Also, when the new light fixture was hung in the kitchen I had it face one way. After it was hung I didn't like it and the light was moved so that it faced the other way. No one had an issue that I changed my mind. Because of the great work Neal and his crew do, they ended up with additional business from us. We added rooms and even a fence installation. You can't go wrong having Neal and his crew make your house beautiful and yard look beautiful.

The job went great. Neal Lawton measured, provided an estimate, and had suggestions on the fencing we wanted. Neal is very hands on and we like that he supervises and works along with his crew. This means that the job is performed with high quality, care, and pride. Neal and his crew were on time every day, beginning work at 8:30 a.m. On the one day that Neal had to be late his crew was early and started work before 8:30 a.m. The work included all of the materials as well as the labor. The fence we had installed is much sturdier than the old fence with lateral fence boards at the bottom of the fence all the way around and there are fence caps at the top of the fence. The gate that was installed is wider and much sturdier than the old gate. The fence replacement took about three and a half days. The crew was very conscientious, worked hard, and even pulled out a bush that I no longer wanted. They trimmed trees so that the new fence would not have any branches resting on it. All of the fence materials and branches were stacked neatly in our parking grass for pick up by the city. The old posts that needed to be removed were taken off-site for disposal by Neal. The crew was considerate of my flower beds and minimal damage was done to my plants. We now have a fence that we are very happy with. It should last us many years. We definitely will use Neal and his crew again. We particularly like that Neal is a general contractor and can paint, texture, remove wallpaper, install lights, and install floors.

The entire job with Neal Lawton and his crew went extremely well and I recommend him highly. Neal is a general contractor and manages his crew well, takes pride in his work, communicates well, and is focused on customer satisfaction. Quote provided April 29. Neal provided suggestions on where I could purchase flooring material. When he came to my home Neal measured carefully, asked good questions, and helped clarify what I wanted to do. I really liked that Neal directly works with and supervises his crew. Neal delivered materials on Sunday, May 4 to give bamboo time to acclimate before it was laid. His price includes delivery. Work was scheduled to begin on Wednesday, May 7 at 8:30 a.m. Neal was on-site about 15 minutes early and began work promptly at 8:30 a.m. with his crew. They moved furniture and taped up plastic sheeting to minimize dirt and dust going into other portions of house. They began removing the tile flooring in the family room and hall. They removed the carpet in the family room and bathroom. All materials were taken from the house and Neal disposed of them. After carpet and tile were removed they leveled and smoothed floor. I don't think it has every been that level or smooth, even when the house was built. A lot of progress was made day 1. They worked until around 4, cleaned up before they left although plastic was left up to minimize dirt. Day 2 everyone was on time again. They finished leveling floor. Then they began laying floor. It looked wonderful. By May 10 the floor was completely installed. Quarter round was installed. On all days everyone was on time, worked hard all day, and very professional. Attention was paid to detail. The floors are beautiful and installed well. Clean up was done daily and at the end. Furniture was moved back and dusted. Pads were put on the bottom of the furniture to ensure that the furniture would not scratch the new floors. Neal and his crew take pride in their work, do an outstanding job, and are very pleasant to deal with. They worked around my dogs and were sensitive to my old cat, moving some furniture a second time so he could sleep on the couch. Neal gave me pointers on floor care. Neal and his crew go above and beyond. They are extremely conscientious. Communication and follow up was outstanding. Even though putting in new floors is messy and noisy, Neal and his crew made the job as painless as possible. Neal and his crew did such a great job that I used them for additional work. When Neal told me he was a general contractor I had him bid other jobs. They did interior painting and wall paper removal when a different contractor had issues. They also installed a new fence. His subsequent work was also great and reviewed in more detail in other reviews. For other work I will definitely use him again.

Neal Lawton was very responsive and able to come help me on very short notice. He communicated well and was on time. He assessed the situation and quickly accomplished the required work. He cleaned up the work area and took the trash with him. I will definitely use Neil Lawton Construction again, as I have some other projects I want to do at my home.

Neal picked up the floor and brought it a few days earlier in order to get acclimated. The day of installation he arrived with a crew of approximately 5 to 6 workers and performed the work fast. It took only one full day from beginning to end. The floor looks great and so far we have had no issues.

Very professional company. Responsive with estimate and bid. Once Lawton Construction was chosen, they were actually able to do the installation earlier than anticipated. A full crew showed up at the expected time both days with several men working in each bedroom. Very neat and clean and they were very respectful of our home. They immediately laid paper down throughout the house where they were walking and had a vac going in the rooms to catch dust and debris from the carpet removal. They thoroughly cleaned up the work area on the patio and the garage where they were staging the flooring. Baseboard was removed and reattached after the floor installation and they assisted in helping reinstall the closet storage system we had removed to make the flooring installation easier. We were very pleased with the result.

They were there right on time and had a group of about 5 guys and got right to work on everything. They did a great job on the drywall repair and door trim and windows. My only complaint was they didn't match the paint very well and it ended up me painting 2 ceilings and 2 entire rooms because the paint difference was drastic and I was fixing to put my house on the market and it looked terrible. It wasn't completely their fault though because there were several different paint containers in my garage and they all were similar so it was confusing and frustrating. I would definitely hire them again if I ever needed drywall repair again.

After the initial contact by phone was made, Mr. Lawton came by to present an estimate for the work. He was on time and very pleasant to deal with. Within a couple of days, he emailed me an estimate and a time when the work could be done. We agreed on a time (actually just 3 days later) and he once again was on time to start the work. He had a team of workers that very obviously had been working with him for some time. They were all very professional and worked fast. They did an excellent job and utilized material were judiciously. They cleaned up afterwards and I have nothing but positives comments for both Mr. Lawton and his crew. Overall, a very positive experience and very reasonably priced for their good work.
