Five Brothers Lawn Care and Chimney Sweep

The entire process was professional and the price was very fair. Two courteous gentleman arrived on time, explained the process and showed me red flags to look for in the future. I cannot recommend Five Brothers enough!

Excellent from start to finish! Called in advance to say they were on their way. They parked their truck where it was out of the way and wouldn't leave any mess. They were very personable and professional. While cleaning chimneys can be a mess, Five Brothers ensured that: A: they blocked the fireplace to keep soot from entering the room, and B: they vacuumed the fireplace and entire area in case any dust "leaked" out.. When they left, the fireplace was clean and there was no soot anywhere in the room. They were very efficient. Price charged was as quoted. Highly recommend them for chimney cleaning!

Five Brothers assessed what needed to be done and informed me that another dependable company (Ford Tree Service) might be a better for the job as they had more specialized equipment that would probably do the job quicker and cheaper. I contacted Ford Tree Service and Mr. Ford came out and gave me an estimate that was indeed cheaper. They did the work in a half day. The work was done professionally and I was quite satisfied.

Excellent work from start to finish

I was having smoke inside when burning a fire, so I called another company to sweep the chimney. They assured me it was good to go. But it still smoked. Then I contacted Mike at Five Brothers, and he agreed to come out for free and take a look. He said the fireplace looked very dirty, as if nothing had been done. When he swept it, he discovered that the chimney cap was 90% blocked and had not even been addressed. It works fine now. He even sent me photos of before and after. Spotless job inside as well! He told me he didn’t know what the other service had done when they came out, but that they were probably not licensed if they said they were. Mike was great and his company Five Brothers is the BOMB! I will have my chimney swept every two years as he recommended.

Excellent job done. Services were for a move out of a house I was renting. The inspector commented that the yard looked great and was the best he had ever seen in his years as an inspector. Leave it to Mike Aker to get the job done right.

Five Brothers is very friendly and fast. They were on very punctual. They got right to work and are very clean when cleaning my chimney. They made sure nothing got dirty from soot and cleaned up really quick. This is the second time they came to clean my chimney.

This company was phenomenal. Very friendly and informative from start to finish. I have over an acre of land just to mow and they did in effiecently and did not cost me an arm and leg. I would absolutely use them again!!! Thank you Five Brothers for taking care of all my lawn care needs!!

As expected, always mowed, weed eat, edged & cleaned up after. Prompt responses when contacted, & would coordinate dates if necessary. Will definitely use again in the future.

Get EVERYTHING in writing and have a witness to confirm everything he tells you he will do. This guy (Mike) talks a great game but seems to forget as soon as he leaves. Also get a FIRM start date. The first job we hired him for was to seal around the bottom of the chimney, patch the cracks in the mortar between the bricks from the roof up to the top of the chimney and remove a tree in the yard. After quoting a price and us agreeing he told us he would be back the next day (Saturday) or on Monday to do the chimney, a twenty minute job it turned out in the end. Eighteen days later we finally called him and he was full of excuses. Finally after another week the work was done. Mike himself did the work on the chimney but "forgot" that he was supposed to seal the cracks in the mortar. Get everything in writing. He did finish that job later and we paid him. I then hired him to clear some cedar from several hundred feet of chain link fence and he quoted me a price per worker/per hour which I agreed to. Luckily my wife was there to verify what he told me. He told me there would be two people working normally but initially only one person might be working for the first few hours. After two weeks Mike's son, Mikey, alone had worked eight hours on the cedar and told us his father had requested we pay for the hours worked. This is not normally done but since Mikey was such a hard worker and was doing such a great job, we agreed. When Mikey told us the amount for the eight hours the numbers didn't add up, it was quite a bit higher than expected. I called Mike, the owner and told him that at the rate that he had quoted us the price should be lower. The owner then told us the per hour cost, which was different, and higher, than he initially quoted us. I reminded him of the quote he gave us initially. He again quoted the higher rate. I again reminded him of his initial quote that we agreed on. He yelled that he would give us that price but then they were DONE with us and he hung up on me. By "done with us" he means he now refuses to finish the work at the price he quoted us initially. His son is a wonderful worker and his work ethic is second to none. I can't say the same for the father. This man can't be trusted to keep his word. Get everything in writing and even then have a witness to everything said. A note, I have yet to receive an invoice for any work that has been paid for.

They called back and told me they were so booked they could not assist at this time but to call later in the summer. He did not leave it there! He asked what issues we were having. He told me what I needed to do; what products I needed and where they were least expensive to purchase; and told me to call him back if I had any problems! Exceptional customer service!! Can't wait until they can work for us on a full-time basis.

The crew showed up early, quoted me an amazing price. This surprised me because I have an extremely large back yard. They got to work immediately and did a great job. My yard looks much better, and we will be using these guys for all of our future lawn care needs.

Extremely well. They were very thorough with the process and never hesitated to answer any and all questions that we had. I was very impressed with the effort that they put in to ensure that there was no mess. We have used 5 Brothers Lawn Care for 3 years. THEY ARE AMAZING! Mike and his crew are true professionals. They have done all sorts of yard work at our place: mowing, hedging, weed spraying, mulch replacing, the works. All work has always exceeded our expectations. Mike has always shown up on the appointed day. On very rainy days, he immediately contacts me for re-scheduling. When I have been out of town, he texted me a photo of the yard to show the completed work. Their prices are very fair and the crew is always friendly. You will not find a better yard service anywhere.
