Avoid Daryl Flood Logistics - Poor Service and Even Worse Customer Support If you're unfortunate enough to be dealing with Daryl Flood Logistics, my sympathies go out to you. Here's my experience, which seems to echo the frustrations of many others. In July 2024, I purchased a dishwasher from Home Depot, and Daryl Flood was contracted for delivery. The driver arrived on time, and the delivery itself was quick. However, later that day, I discovered they had driven over my expensive Cor-Ten landscaping on their way out. I immediately contacted Home Depot, who opened a claim, and things went downhill from there. After some time, a claims manager from Daryl Flood (operating under the DBA NXT Home Delivery) reached out. Echoing the experience of other reviewers, I was initially asked if I had any video evidence of the incident. Red flag number one and an obvious attempt to dismiss my claim as "not their problem." Luckily, I did, as my yard camera clearly recorded the damage. I forwarded the footage, which resolved any question of fault. The claims manager then asked me to get contractor quotes to assess the damage and assured me they'd send someone to inspect it themselves. However, they never followed through on this promise. Instead, they rejected each of my quotes as "invalid" for various reasons which I then had to resolve with each contractor. At one point, the claims manager suggested I allow the delivery driver to "take a look" at the damage, implying I should "be reasonable" since the compensation would come out of the driver's paycheck. This felt like a tactic to shift responsibility onto me as the customer. Rather than addressing the issue professionally, they prioritized the convenience of their employees, expecting me to be flexible for a problem they had caused. This suggestion to "be reasonable" was dismissive and inappropriate. It's not the customer's responsibility to accommodate the company's internal policies, especially with clear evidence of their mistake. I expect a professional company to take ownership and resolve damages they caused, not to burden customers with negotiating their accountability. After enduring a month of stalled communication and dozens of emails, it became clear they were not acting in good faith. I filed a claim in civil court, though the process is slow, and a court date may take up to a year. Eventually, I was contacted by The Hartford, the insurance company covering Daryl Flood, and was asked to provide a statement and the video evidence. The representative seemed helpful, even suggesting my claim could be settled out of court due to the reasonable amount I was seeking. That was back in August 2024, and despite my numerous follow-up attempts, I've received no further communication. Bottom Line: My experience with Daryl Flood has been frustratingly bureaucratic and dismissive. The lack of accountability and professionalism, coupled with poor customer support, is unacceptable. I strongly advise others to avoid this company if possible, and I urge Home Depot to reconsider their partnership with Daryl Flood. If I could go back in time I would have driven my truck over to Home Depot and just loaded it up myself.

It went horribly. They have left many of our possessions sitting in a warehouse for a month now and refuse to tell us when we will receive our items. Communication from Jessica is awful... I asked for an update TODAY, and got this: "Your shipment has not yet arrived to our affiliated local agent. Once they have confirmed that the shipment has arrived, a delivery date will be made available and I will notify you. Thank you for your continued patience." This is ridiculous and the worst customer service I've ever experienced.

WARNING! I wanted to provide awareness of what you can expect booking a move through this company. I booked my move over a month in advance. Scheduled for a load date on July 6th with a delivery window from July 10th – to July 15th. Foreshadowing the disaster to come surfaced when they called a couple of days before the load date to say they can’t load on the 6th but will be able to load on the 7th. They assured me multiple times that the delivery window would not be impacted. They require you to be at your destination for the entirety of your delivery window to accept delivery when they arrive. We planned accordingly and booked a couple of hotel rooms at our destination city for the delivery window. We were notified on Tuesday, July 13th that our shipment would arrive at the local hub on Saturday 17th. By Thursday, July 15th the arrival to the hub then moved to Monday the 19th with actual delivery to our new home on Saturday, July 24th, nine days after the end of our delivery window that we were assured would not be compromised. As the delays continued to roll in I figured at a minimum they would be willing to cover our two hotel rooms at $350 a day until our things arrive since they required us to be there by July 10th, however, they would only provide paltry $125. In addition to our hotel costs, I’m forced to buy new clothes for my first week of work as they have all my nice clothes and shoes. My wife is a mental health counselor that sees patients with depression, anxiety, etc. from a home office and is bound by HIPAA regulations that preclude her from working from a hotel room due to privacy. Due to these regulations, she is having to reschedule 6 days’ worth of patients which is lost revenue for her, but the more concerning factor is the disruption of care for patients. This company has no empathy and refuses to do the humane thing after forcing people to arrive for their delivery window stranding people to fend for themselves living out of a hotel until they decide to show up with your belongings. I’ve lost all confidence in this company. Fingers crossed everything shows up on July 24th and intact. If you book with this company plan on spending an additional several thousand dollars on the back end while you wait for your things to arrive. I will update the review after the conclusion of the move to share the unsettling surprises that are yet to come.

It went very poorly. The load out was very good in Azel TX. T he delivery was delayed by almost a week, the driver showed up with his girlfriend and 1 other worker, he refused to cover the floor. He was rude arrogant, obnoxious, and stupid, I do not even know if his girlfriend was licence, when he first showed up he said he had a bad arm and hoped nothing was too heavy. He had my front facing washer and he had it turned to the back, I asked him to turn it around and he threw his hands up and and glared at me and walked a way. It took me an extra 2 weeks to get my furniture, and he refused to put the furniture together, and he said he was not responsible, and I had another crew they said the original driver was suppose to do it. Which I informed them Christopher was not allowed on my property. I have broken pictures, plates, knickknacks, and a gouge on a cherry dining table leaf. He said it was wrapped, I watched him take it out, and it was not wrapped it threw a blanket over it, not knowing that I saw it. It's too bad he was this way, I would have given them 5 stars by the way it went out, but now would only give 1 star.

The packers did a TERRIBLE job. They were flirtatious with my three daughters and me, which was completely inappropriate. We had many broken items on the receiving end. One classic example of a box they packed was one tooth brush and one used toilet bowl brush together in one box. Disgusting. The only good thing was they were good about fixing or compensating for the broken items in a timely manner.

The sales rep, Colleen Hester, walked the property and repeatedly said that the multiple glass top tables could "just be bubble wrapped and then taped with boxes". The driver refused to load the truck because we did not have crates for the glass tops and the antique mirror. My husband called the rep from out of state extremely upset and she hung up on him. Hired a much more professional company on the spot who also took care of the mirrors and tables. I would not use or recommend this company

They packed all of our things, and got everything to our new place in record time, and it was all in wonderful shape. They even sent another driving with an additional box for us, and it all went great. I even had a herb box that was really heavy, and they were able to get it moved for me no problem, even in the rain. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

The real value was not just hauling our "stuff," it was the constant availability of Candice, our move co-ordinator, Candice) and Joey, our driver. He was the captain of the ship and a young man at ease with serious responsibility. On the other end, some of the crew was the same and they moved our stuff through the rain, taking care not to soil rugs and floors. Unloading took a half day and they were a delight to work with. Just a word to customers. These guys work HARD. If you feed them a simple meal (take out barbecue sandwiches and soft drinks), make them welcome in your home (show them where the bathroom is, tell them there are water bottles and soft drinks for them to help themselves to in the fridge), they really appreciate it. Tips each day (or all at then end) go to guys who are hard-working and trying to take care of families. They will even pack you a box so you can set up housekeeping while you unpack. You can request your favorite chairs come out first, so you'll have a place to crash when they leave. I would heartily recommend Daryl Flood Mayflower to anyone involved in an out of state move.

I have used them twice now and referred them. They do everything. They pack your things and load them into their vans. If you needed to be held because you won't be at the house before they are, they hold it without unpacking it and keep it in the van. They relocated about 500 people and not one person that I knew of had a single complaint. They all say they could not believe how outstanding they were. The movers are extremely professional, they're not people that they have gotten off the streets. They moved out everything with such utmost care. I've never heard anything lost, broken, or stolen. They were incredible, sweet, and nice the whole time. Nothing was a problem and nothing was too difficult. The only thing that was broken was something that I tagged myself. They are conscientious and polite. I have a lot of experience with movers and nobody compares to these people. They are absolutely outstanding, from the people at the corporate office down to the last person who packs your things. They will go anywhere. One of the workers had something stuck in his shoe but he didn't know it. I started noticing there were dark spots on my brand new carpet. When I told the head person about it, he looked at it and tried to figure out what it that. He checked everyone's shoes and found a piece of tar or something on one of the guys' shoes. He had carpet cleaners come the next day and he paid it out of his own pocket because he didn't feel that was the company's responsibility. He had them clean all the carpets in the house. One guy told me that he will come back the following week to take the boxes because I didn't need them anymore. He came back that week and he drove from Houston to Dallas to get more boxes out of his way and that was a 4-hour drive. He paid for his own gas and took the boxes for free. It was amazing and they're outstanding because of these.

We called them and they came out to provide us a firm quote (which few in their business will actually do). The sales person was very professional and knew his business. They worked with us on the date and were flexible in that they allowed us to move half one and half the next. They will give you free (used) boxes if you move with them, which will save you money and their people at the warehouse are very friendly. All of the pre-move experience was A+, the rating comes from the day 1 vs day 2 experience. Day 1: They showed up on time and ready to go with a 5 man crew. They were professional and worked quickly to load our belongings. They moved everything we asked without damaging our belongings or our home(s). They loaded until about 1:00 and then unloaded until close to 6pm. They put the boxes in the rooms as labeled and assembled beds, furniture for us. Great first day. Day 2: They showed up on time again, but with only a four man crew. The foreman was the same, but clearly he was in a hurry to get us moved and the results reflect it. They loaded up our home until about 1:00 (leaving several things behind). They came to our new house and began unloading. The first couple of hours were ok, but as the day wore on they began to get sloppy. The scratched our furniture, our hardwood floors, and walls. By about 5, they were clearly ready to go (really the foreman was, which impacted the rest of the crew). We noticed that they were starting to put boxes wherever just to get done (we had to tell them to move them and still found them all over the house later). Post move, they were very professional and have so far fixed all of the damaged furniture (they don't replace, but repair really) so you have to weigh the $500 for insurance. They have repaired the damage to our carpets (cleaned), but have not come to fix the damage to our walls yet (which is too long as our move was a month ago). I think they are basically good people, but would be very aware that the attitude of the foreman will significantly impact the quality of your move experience so to make sure you get a good one and if you sense issues, call their Rep immediately so that things get done correctly.

I contacted three moving companies and got weight and cost estimates about 1 month before the move. THE ESTIMATE and CONTRACTING: Of the three, the one that I felt was most accurate weight was provided by Jason S. with Daryl Flood (Mayflower Movers). The other two estimates were nearly 3000 pounds more in weight than I thought should be (I had moved a couple of years earlier and had a good idea of how much stuff I actually have!) In addition, Jason arrived on time and provided professional advice to help me with my move. There was no pressure to go with his offer/estimate; he encouraged me to compare the estimates. Once I accepted the offer, payments and contract completion were handled online. MOVING DAY: The day before the packing out, Betty called to inform me of the name of the driver who would be hauling my stuff, and when he would arrive. Lettie packed my fine china and crystals, clothes, all the electronics and paintings - she did an awesome job, working quickly and efficiently. Manny M (the driver) and two other disassembled and wrapped the furniture. And, on pack-out day, a huge storm was moving into the North Texas area - Manny and his crew rushed to beat the storm - but not at the expense of my things. After the pack out, the driver kept in touch with me by phone and we coordinated delivery date. ARRIVAL DAY: Everything was delivered on the promised date and everything arrived safe and sound! FINAL CLOSE OUT: And a few days later, they sent me the final bill of lading, showing the actual weight of my stuff. They only over estimated by a bit and refunded $140 to my credit card. BOTTOM LINE: As an Army Vet, I have moved across country and overseas a total of 16 times before this - and I can say that this is the best, most efficient move yet!

Went very well. Estimator arrived on time and provided detailed written estimate based on items to be packed by them, items already packed by us and total weight. The driver contacted us two days before move to identify himself and to confirm his arrival time. Actual packing and loading took two days. Everything was inventoried and packed/wrapped very well before loading. Delivery and setup was done in about eight hours. They took special care to avoid bumping into walls, doors etc. during loading and unloading. Although we have yet to unpack completely, we have not found anything damaged during the move. I doubt we will, based on the care they took in preparing and handling items during the move.

At first, I was very thrilled with the way Daryl Flood's company performed.....they sent out someone who was supposedly their front man, the one who was there in case there was ever a problem....the packers, were young, but seemed to be doing a good job, the movers were late, but once they started, they moved things rapidly.....they had a second team show up(VERY LATE) and sent someone who didn't have a clue as to what he was doing and the truck didn't have a lift on it to move heavy leftover stuff.....after a couple hrs with that fool, we demanded someone else come out and help the 2 they sent(the and quot;front manand quot; was no where to be found or heard from).....once he was there, things progressed nicely.....they stored our furniture from Fri nite-Mon morning....The movers showed up late, and started, I noticed things, immediately were going wrong.....I called the and quot;front manand quot;, no response for hrs....as I unpacked(while they were still moving things in) there was my mother's antique Waterford chandelier in a box(they were told not to pack any flower arrangements, chandeliers-decorators were taking care of them) SMASHED!! In another box, large expensive flower arrangements SMASHED in a box!! There was more mess, too many to write about....They have an outside company they use to crate up glass and put together audio things(tv's, dvd's, etc)....DON'T USE THEM!!! They are so expensive to crate!! They wanted to crate up and move my chandeliers, total cost was $1500!! I had the decorators move them for $150!! And they rehung them!! What a rip off....they also hooked my washer/dryer back up, wrong!! They said they could hang a tv on the wall, they made a HUGE whole in the wall and didn't tell me about it, had to pay to have that repaired and rehung.....it goes on about them too.... NOW TO THE UNBELIEVABLE!!!! They lost our handpainted hardware to put our bed back together, so they went to Home Depot and got ugly silver nuts and bolts so we would be able to sleep in our bed that nite!! Then.....they lost our specially made box springs!! How do you lose box springs!!??!! We had to have them remade.....they ripped a handpainted painting from Japan, saying since they didn't hang it, someone else couldve done that.....Lladro smashed, it goes on and on.....When we made requests from the and quot;specialand quot; people who where there to help us, NO ANSWERS!! We made claims, but most of them were turned down.....I am missing furniture, but becuz I didn't realize it til after the 90 day claim, its gone for good.....NEVER would I EVER recommend this company to anyone, not even my worst enemy......

Daryl Flood Inc owns the Mayflower we used for moving. Each Mayflower franchise is independently owned. Daryl's employees were amazing, they were professional and very friendly. They were top notch all the way. We moved from the Nashville area down to Atlanta. He gave us a ball park estimate, he couldn't give us the exact price because we weren't paying for it. They brought the big trucks and they packed everything. They wrap every single item, they even wrapped my pencils. They worked 7:30am to 10:30 at night. They set up all the furniture for you where you want, they don't unpack though. I thought the price was cheap. Some people might think it was expensive, but if you had seen how much stuff we had, how they packed it and all the work they did - to me it was right on target.

I cannot express how utterly disappointed and angry I am with the services rendered by Daryl Flood. A move of this size (ultimately two full 40' trailers) and expense - over $15,000 - should attract some level of attention and dedication on the part of the company. This move had neither. The packers were unprepared for the volume of goods to be prepared for the move, even though Mr. Statham, their estimator, spent several hours with me walking through the condos, and had full access to each and every item to be moved. There is simply no excuse for poor preparation and either Mr. Statham or the D.F. office was massively unprepared. The movers themselves were marginally competent, but did manage to damage, dent, scrape, scratch or break literally dozens of items. I am astonished at the utter carelessness of the D.F. team. When it came time to settle the bill, D.F. decided to tack on several thousand dollars in additional expenses, even though much of the additional time and effort required were the fault of D.F. in failing to provide adequate equipment (specifically moving trucks and enough staff for the job). D.F. did negotiate a marginal reduction in the overall price of the move, but the ending price was still in excess of the estimate, despite the fact that I personally moved over 190 boxes on my own, which would have otherwise been in the original estimate. Bottom line, D.F.'s estimator or estimation tools/methodology are poorly prepared to meet the needs of a large move. I have had the opportunity to relate my experience with D.F. to numerous others and, in each instance, I advise my friends and colleagues to run - not walk - away from D.F. in every meaningful way. I certainly would never allow them near my home or my possessions again - once burned, twice shy.
Description of Work: Daryl Flood was contracted to pack and move our possessions from a 5,100 SFT condominium to a 5,300 SFT house. The move was from a condominium in Irving to a home in Frisco. The condo was limited by access to the service elevator and within specific hours (9A-5P).

Once we chose our mover from those offered us by the company handling our relocation Michelle contacted my wife. She scheduled a local representative to come assess our household to make sure Dan and Jeremy would come with the resources necessary to conduct our move efficiently. Jeremy and Dan contacted us the day before they were supposed to pack our household and asked if they could come look at our townhouse to plan for any unforeseen difficulties that may hold us up the next day. Based upon what they saw they formulated a plan that they executed flawlessly the next day. It is amazing how quickly and efficiently they worked. I have moved probably 6 times in the last 10 years but this is the first time I have ever had the benefits of a professional moving company. You think moving isn't a profession? You think any muscular oaf can move your stuff? Do you think you can move your stuff? I am a former power lifter and am still very strong and I know I couldn't have done a better job (because I have moved myself several times) if given another person to help me with my level of strength. As I watched Dan and Jeremy work it became evident there is an art or skill associated with moving that can only learned through experience. These men are talented. I hope to not have to move again any time soon. However, if I had to move tomorrow there is no question, Daryl Flood would be the company to move us. Their professionalism, dedication and hard work made our move a fantastic experience.
Description of Work: Daryl Flood moved my wife and I from Central New Jersey to Houston Texas for a corporate relocation. Michelle Rene Polansky was our moving coordinator and Dan Streety and Jeremy Bordwine were our movers. Psychologist predict that moving is one of the 5 most stressful events in a persons life. I can not even begin to express the gratitude for the level of care that Michelle, Dan and Jeremy not only showed our belongings but to us as people. They packed our household and my pickup truck and delivered everything completely undamaged (and yes I mean COMPLETELY, the didn't even break light bulbs) without a single dent, nick or scratch to either house.

I had used them before which is why I chose them this time, but because they broke my statue and crock pot I don't think I will be using them again. Also, I wasn't as impressed with them as I was the first time either. They did show up on time, but just didn't seem as professional.
Description of Work: We moved from Houston to Pearland, about 15 miles, and they moved about 6 rooms of furniture. They packed and unpacked everything for us. My statue and crock-pot got broken.
