Description of Work: Replaced a fogged window including window film. Ameritint applied window film for our whole house approxiamtely 15 years ago. The products have held up very well, so when we had a broken window seal we had them come in to replace it. We have had them do some other work over the years and have always been extremely satisfied.

+ -1 moreI have a very large window in my garage, and have been considering window tint to increase privacy and decrease the heat. Since I knew nothing about window tinting (other than noticing horrible bubbling tints on some windows), I wanted a lot of information about the product, process and warranty. I contacted Ameritint through Angies List and received a call back from them in short order. Mark was very flexible in setting an appointment and dealt with a tight timeframe on my side. When he showed up, he was polite, informative and a really nice guy. He took the time to bring samples, show me how various items would look on my window and gave me a lot of great information and feedback on what he would recommend. He explained the installation process, warranties, and what to expect from the product. He also pointed out some damage on my window that was done by my builder. I never would have noticed it, and it would have created a problem down the road. Mark quickly provided a verbal estimate right on site and then followed it up with a written one by email later that day. All this for less than $500 work. I haven't yet decided if tinting is the way I want to go, but if it is I will absolutely use Ameritint.

+ 0 moreIt is wonderful. I can feel the difference immediately, my living room is so much cooler. The secretary was very easy to work with in setting up the appointment. The owner didn't respond to my emails as quickly as I would have liked, so I just called the office and the secretary took care of everything. The installation was perfect.

+ 3 moreI showed up not long before the guy closed shop, but we arranged it all over the phone. He did the work very quickly and it's several months later now and there's no problems with the tint. It looks like a perfect match. He did a great job! Good work, Fast work, Cheap work --> they say "Pick two," but I felt like I got all three in this case.
Description of Work: Tinted the glass on a new passenger window that had been recently broken out and replaced with non-tinted glass, compliments of my insurance company.

Description of Work: Our business acquired a new property with an old dome skylight. The light coming in was causing problems with our use of the space as a training center. Because we are a nonprofit agency, cost is very important to us. The folks at AmeriTint helped us craft a solution to our problem - a screen that fits over the top of the skylight from the outside. The service was quick, everyone was helpful, and it was less than we anticipated spending.

+ 2 moreMark Wallach was very responsive and informative. His quote was very timely and he scheduled the work within 10 days despite the fact that we live at the outer edge of their service area. Kurt Howell (the owner) installed our window film and did an "outstanding" job. He was extremely knowledgeable insuring that the film met our needs PLUS was not too reflective looking from the outside. His installation was impeccable and very professional, and his cleanup after the job was like he was never there. VERY PROFESSIONAL!
Description of Work: Had front windows (1 normal size, 1 double size and 1 small) and storm door that faces West coated with Optivision Glass Film. Had 1 small back window that faces East also coated.

Description of Work: I called Ameritent after looking on Angie's List. I called on July 18th aftrer lunch and talked with one of the owners he came out the same day and brought samples and measured we had 10 panes tinted that he measured, that also inclueded a glass door. The soonest they could come out was the following Monday between 11:30 and noon. I called them back on the day of to ask if they could add 2 more panes they are the same size as others he said no problem. Sent me the updated invoice via email. He guy showed up on time. The only little issue is that the latter he had brought was not tall enough for him to reach our half moon window on the landing, so thankfully we had one that he could use to reach it.( We have a 1 1/2 story house so the window is up high 15 feet) He put the latter back in our shed. He was very good and took about a couple of hours. No mess when he left. I am enjoying our tinted windows since our house gets the morning sun.

+ -1 moreMark came out and brought some samples that he actually applied to my window for me to select from. They measured the windows that I wanted to do and gave me an estimate on the spot. They were polite, professional, knowledgeable and were not aggressive. I took a few days to decide and in the meantime decided to add some more windows to the order. I kept changing my mind on what windows to do and Mark was always helpful and willing to reprice and do what I wanted. He was very flexible with my needs even though it caused him more trouble in regards to getting the material and scheduling his installers. The installers Brad and Jim were great. Very clean, courteous, and professional. They both had a lot of experience in applying films and did a great job. They worked around the window treatments with no problems and worked quickly and steadily all day. The installers realized they were a little short on film and Mark made a special trip out to my house with more film so the job could be finished the same day. Part of the shortage was due to a mistake on my part and we agreed on a modified price that was very fair to me and the whole time Mark was pleasant and worked to make sure that I was happy. The job looks great. So good in fact, that my wife who was very hesitant to have film installed has agreed that we should have them come back out and do the rest of the house. This will be a total of somewhere around 800 or 900 square feet of windows. Very pleased with the company, the work, and the Vista product.

+ 0 moreTook approximately a week to get replacement window and screen and appt time was set. Replacement of window was easy easy - and window washers - Phillip - did an excellent job - he was very personable and professional and was a pleasure to work with. Will definitely use this company again!
Description of Work: Called and spoke with Mark - around 8:30 on a Monday morning - he stated he would call me back within the hour with a time for him to come out and look at my windows. Mark had been extremely busy and did not get back with me for a day and a half - but he was very apologetic. I told him I needed to have a solor screen replaced as well as a window that had fogged up - while Mark and Kurt were here they ask if I wanted to get windows cleaned as well as the screens - which I had not done in some time. So they wrote estimate up for replacement as well as cleaning.

+ -1 moreThey sent Brian to install my film. I divided my order into three parts, to allow my wife time to decide which color/density she liked. Brian came on a Saturday, and two evenings. He worked late and was very cheerful about it. His work was excellent. Highly recommended!
Description of Work: I had Ameritint apply window film to all my windows that were not protected by blinds. I used several different products to meet my HOA's requirements, and to maximize the protection from the sun. My house faces due east, and the summer sun was so brutal, that it actually melted some plastic trim around a new storm door that faced east. I had to do something!

They also offered a name and address of another place that they had tinted several years ago. It happened to be an optical clinic and I went there to check it out. The experience was excellent. They did a fantastic job of cleaning up. They were very pleasant and brought in all their own stuff. The windows look great and I think it makes a difference. I think the price was good.
Description of Work: I used Ameritint to put tinting on the windows on the west side of my home in June. There were eight windows and a door.

+ -1 moreKurt made the trip out to our house to show us samples of the tint and was very knowledgeable about window tinting and the warranty on the Vista film. I got quotes from several places in the metroplex; Ameritint wasn't the cheapest, but they had an excellent warranty and I liked how the film looked, a more natural color rather than the bluish tint. Within a week, Kurt and Phillip came back out and applied the film. They were very professional and thorough, and it took about 2 hours to complete the work. Going above and beyond, Kurt even scraped some paint off the back door window, which I had painted many months ago in a desperate attempt to block the sun. Also, I am embarrassed to say that in the 4 years we have lived in our house, we have never cleaned our windows, and for the sake of perfection, Kurt and Phillip cleaned the outside of the windows that they tinted so that they could better assess the quality of the tint application, free of charge. I am very happy with Ameritint's work, and I am definitely looking forward to the lower electricity bills. I will definitely call them again if I need more windows tinted.

The installer was on time for our appointment and was very professional. He completed the job in one complete day, as promised by the salesman. My windows look wonderful. They were cleaned really well and the window tint has worked very well in reducing heat and glare.
