Alpine Fence was GREAT from the first time that I talked to Lajenia on the phone, to first visit with Patrick, the email commmunication, to the finished fence. They communicated throughout the process and were on time for the installation. I didn't want to spend a ton of money, because I was going to sell my home, so they gave me a great price and were able to finish within two days. I ended up having to get a new fence on one side because my posts were rotten. They tied it in to my existing fence in the back and it looks awesome! Best outcome is that we sold our home the first weekend!
Description of Work: I needed a fence repair and/or a new fence. I wasn't sure if I could get away with just a repair or not.

Alpine Fence, Coppell. Don?t, Don?t, Don?t. It is now 5 years since I purchased my fence from Alpine Fence, Coppell, TX., and my extended warrantee has now expired. As of this date, 7/24/2014, they have yet to contact me regarding repeated requests to come to my house to inspect the fence or even contact me to set up an appointment for work that would have been covered under the 5 year warantee. The problems include rotting board, cracked supports, the fence finish that has completely disappeared in sections, etc. When I would attempt to contact them, most of the time I would not receive a response. But on the occasion that I would, I would get this same email virtually every time ? ?I did receive this message and will be at out office within the hour. As soon as I pull the paperwork, I will contact you. What number is best to reach you this morning? Lajenia?. This was copied direct from one of the e-mails I received. I would reply with my home and cell number, and would not hear from Alpine Fence, Coppell, TX again. I have kept a record of the emails as proof of my attempts. As of today, 7/24/2014 if you look in the ?ABOUT US? section on the Alpine Fence website, you will find this claim of BBB accreditation. ?? Alpine Fence Company Inc. has been a family owned business since 1977. We are proud to be an "Accredited Member of the Dallas Better Business Bureau" ??. But if you look on the BBB site, as of this date, 7/24/2014, the BBB of Dallas and Northeast Texas says they are not accredited. I am permanently disabled. Are they ignoring me because they think they can get away with something? I don?t know. Could be they just don?t care. If this is the type of service you want, go for it. If you spend the extra money for an extended warranty and want the service to go with it, find another business to do the work.

Disaster...horrible...stressful...about every negative you can think of.
Description of Work: We went with this company (without checking for references) because they offered the best price and we have seen fences that they have constructed all over town (Coppell) for years and years, so we assumed that, with that kind of customer base, they must be good. Were we ever wrong. This was the worst service experience we have ever had in our 40 years of marriage. They lied to us continuously and then lied to cover their lies. It tooks 5 months for them to complete a 2 day project and we had to threaten to go to the press, the BBB, the police and/or to their front door. Over the five months, they changed their phone numbers several times and several times they were disconnected. They do not answer their phones. You have to leave a voice mail and they might call back, but usually not. Unfortunately, we gave them a down payment so we had keep after them. At one point, they offered our money back but, they had lied to us so many times, we knew they only way we would get it was to go to their bank with them to get the money. We couldn't even get them to return our calls, let alone our money! They did 2 different projects for us - a retaining wall and an iron fence around our pool. Once they finally completed the retaining wall, we had few complaints, but the iron fence was a disaster. There were so many things wrong with it that we asked them to remove it. Rather than go through the labor to remove it, they offered it to us for almost nothing. We kept it, but we have to do some grinding, sanding and painting on it. I wouldn't wish this company on my worst enemy.

Please see review written on Huck Finn.
Description of Work: This company also goes under the name of Huck Finn. You can see the review I wrote for Huck Finn. I would not recommend this company. Since I started trying to get my "NEW" fence repaired after they failed to respond even though I have a five year warranty, I have been told numerous times the best thing is to tear the fence down and start over. From improper spacing of poles on the 8 foot side of the fence, poor quailty wood (used wood that should have been used for interior building) wrong size nails on a board to board, wrong spacing, boards not properly placed for the base board (they go to the ground) etc. This has been a nightmare experience. I have had other fence contractors tell me they would not touch repairing the fence.

Did not use them,
Description of Work: I never used Alpine Fence again after they had fenced my pool area years before. My mother had used them. We were both happy with the work at the beginning , but when we decided to get a new fence, we called Alpine. 3 months later they returned the call for a new fence bid. It was pretty cheap but so was the chosen wood. The bidder mis bidded with a single board 6 ft. fence when we specifeid 8ft. BOB. Pathetic.

We needed our fence replaced quickly, so we took a reasonable bid from this company and went with them over three other companies. The company came quickly, but there were problems from the start they would not fix, including gaps in retaining wall, no cleanup, and cracked boards. No engineering done, no pre-work, just ripped down and put up in a day in a half. We were not told things like the retaining wall would be unstained. The fence itself looked alright to us at the time, but we'd never bought one before so had little to go on - our last one literally fell into the alley. Then they pestered us for the money while we tried to get things fixed. They fixed the minor issues but not the major. Finally we paid under the agreement that they would fix things, and they did not. I had to do the cleanup myself and the back of our yard behind the fence was left in shambles - it has never recovered from their work to this day. A year later, fence was leaning already - worse than 10-year-old fences in our neighborhood - and stain is practically gone in many places when it was supposed to last years. We can barely open the gate to the driveway as it sticks from warped poles. Boards are split and need replacing. We called multiple times to set up appointments in 2008, and they failed to show every time. After pursuing other means to get them to do ANYTHING, we're taking them to court soon to get our money back plus expenses to purchase a new fence to replace their shoddy work. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM FOR ANY WORK.
Description of Work: Replaced fence that had fallen apart, including retaining wall. 8' in back, 6' around the sides. Stained and treated wood, installed in mid-August 2007.

Persons did not show up when scheduled, they did not advise of no shows. Did not return phone calls from main office. Job was sloppy, supplies left all over the yard (kids live here). Wood boards with nails exposed up left on ground, steel post caps removed and not replaced, old fence not completely removed as they stated they would. Wrought iron gate paid for and never delivered, no phone calls from company as to why they abandoned job but kept the money. All persons from owner to salesperson have been deceitful all along. Front of fence was left incomplete.
Description of Work: Wood fence was replaced with new wood.
