It to this day still is not complete. He wrote a very generalized contract and will not ad hear to the contract he created in the first place. He verbally told us we were going to get a remodel of both of our bathrooms, the one in the front was to be a dual shower, the one in the back was to be a premium tub. On his quote after verbally listening to what we wanted. He wrote in small print at the top of the quote that is was for one bathroom then crammed all of the work for both bathrooms into one. The contract called for a premium tub. He gave me a 2 star rated tub from home depot that cost him 200.00 He refuses to show us what the tub is costing us. Our contract also called for 6" tile. He told me that the 6" means 6 foot, the only sad part is that the tile is not six foot high nor are the individual tiles 6' as he states they should be in our contract. He also put a dual shower system in a tub that we did not ask for, now my wife has no way to lean back and relax in our brand new tub. All of these issues have been brought up with him and I have emails to back that up. He refuses to back up his own work.

Response from Professional Home Resource Center
He requested an estimate on several jobs at his home. He indicated after seeing the estimate that he could only do one project due to a very tight budget and after speaking with his wife, they selected the master bath. He selected the vanity, granite, tile & grout for his bathroom, which are the products that were installed. Each selection is documented by email and picture from him to me. The quality of the work is top-notch! We were two days away from completing the project. I called him to request a color selection for the walls as the painter was on the way. In this same conversation, I reminded him that I needed to pick up a check that day for the 3rd draw on the project. When I showed up to the project, he said we needed to get everyone off the job because he was not happy with the work. He started ranting that we were suppose to remodel both bathrooms for the $8,000 we charged him. I reminded him that we had never even discussed the guest bath nor had I ever even seen it…he switched gears and started saying that we had put in the wrong tile and the wrong vanity. When I showed him that was the tile he had selected, he said it was the wrong size. Then he said that he never asked for two shower heads, and when I reminded him of our conversation about the shower heads and showed him the agreement…he then said that he wanted two shower heads, but he wanted them side-by-side and not on each end of the shower. When I indicated to him that dual showers are typically located at opposite ends of the shower, he argued with me and said that he had never heard of such a thing. After indicating to him that we were not going to remove the tile, he then began complaining about the tub and said that it was not a top-of-the-line tub and that he wanted it removed and a new tub installed with new tile. I explained to him that we had never discussed a top-of-the-line tub and that the tub we installed met all the criteria that he had given me. (he wanted a nice tub that would not stain or yellow like the old one, and one that we could put tile around instead of an enclosure). We indicated in our agreement a “premium” tub and we believe that this tub meets that standard. What we believe is happening here is one of two things: 1. He found himself financially unable to meet his obligations and chose to stall or discontinue the project and shifted the blame to our company to save face with family and friends. 2. Or, He and/or his wife were unhappy with their tile selection and are trying to leverage our company to change it for free and correct their mistake. I told him that if he was unhappy with his selection, that I would allow him to select a new tile and would change it out at-cost. I want to help him any way that I can, but I will not be held hostage or liable for his decisions. As a footnote: This is the first complaint we have ever had against our company since we have been in business nearly 12 years. We were voted “Most Reliable Contractor” in Montgomery County 2005 and 2010. We were also Real Estate’s Executive Magazine “2005 Builder of the Year”. I like your company and I think that you offer a great service for homeowners looking to find a reputable service provider, however I would hope that your company would closely monitor complaints by clients that have inappropriate agendas. When he is ready I will be more than happy to complete his project according to our agreement, as long as he is willing to escrow the balance of funds due so that we are assured of receiving our payment.
