Immediately after the first installation, I graded this company a B. Subsequent events had me ready to change that to an F. We had repeated problems up to and including some shingles blowing off. While the company did make the needed repairs, response was slow, and there was a feeling that they were just patching a faulty installation and that we'd continue to experience problems. We recently sold the house, and an inspector representing the buyer found further defects in the installation. We called Lone Star but with misgivings about how quickly or constructively they would respond. Rich Derrick appeared at our door that afternoon and introduced himself as the new manager of the Houston office. Immediately, we sensed a new commitment to quality, workmanship, and customer service. The company conducted a new inspection and found even further defects in the original installation. The result was that Rich proposed, and senior management approved, an entire new roof at no cost to us. The new roof is now in place, and it is visibly superior to the original installation. On this basis, we're glad to upgrade Lone Star to an A, and we highly recommend them.
Description of Work: Replaced roof (again) in response to Hurricane Ike. New roof installed to replace previous faulty installation.

My experience came during the heavy post-hurricane workload, so it may not be typical. Crews worked extended shifts and the work appears of good quality (ask me again in about 30 years). A window was broken during the project, and it was several weeks before that repair was completed.
Description of Work: Roof repair in wake of Hurricane Ike. Removed old roof and replaced with new 30-year shingles. Company agreed to accept insurance appraisal as full payment, but its initial invoice claimed a portion of the settlement earmarked to repair fences (which I did myself). This was later resolved.
