We've been planning our dream home for about 10 years, and a couple of years ago we bought lots in an acreage community in Montgomery TX. From that time on, we started checking out homes under construction of several builders, but Heartwood was by far the best. We found that the construction of their homes was superior to the other builders we looked at. Then we talked to several of their past and current customers, and everyone one of them were extremely happy with their homes and gave them a great referral. Heartwood Custom Homes is a family owned company. It's owners are Fredrick "Freddie" and Terry Roberts, who are 4th generation home builders. They are very knowledgeable, personable, and very attentive to their customers. From our first meeting to our last, they have proven to us that they put our interests first. We decided to choose Heartwood before our house was even designed. Freddie attended all meetings with our architect and was extremely helpful in the design of our home. He went out of his way to make sure that the design was exactly what we wanted. Freddie also made sure we stayed within our budget. We're about halfway into construction, and we've been extremely pleased with Heartwood's work. The house is perfect. Freddie and Terry have really put their heart and soul into building a fantastic home for us. We've had absolutely zero issues in dealing with them. Freddie and Terry have listened to what we wanted from the beginning and have made sure the house is exactly what we want. They always return our emails, voice messages, show up to all meeting promptly. Terry informs us weekly on the progress of the construction. We look forward to working with them in getting our home completed. Once the house is finalized, we'll send in an update to let everyone know how the rest of the construction went. An "A" grade is the highest we could select on Angie's List. If we could, we'd rate them a triple A+. Not only is the quality of the construction of our house awesome, but the work they promised in our contract is right on target. The personal service we receive from Freddie and Terry is by far the best we've ever had. While we realize we are not Heartwood's only customer and that they do have other homes under construction, Freddie and Terry definitely go out of their way to make us feel like we are their only customer.

There are two brothers that run the company and they are just wonderful to work with. We interviewed quite a few builders and we were very pleased with them overall. They are very easy to work with and they communicate well with us. They tried to do everything we wanted and made good suggestions.

They don’t typically do jobs like this but I guess they are doing it because they originally built our home. They are just outstanding and they really do an excellent job. They are very professional and all of the workers are very courteous. They always make sure that they don’t leave a mess behind or anything like that.
