Description of Work: I have never use a professional tree service before, but boy, I am sold on Good Morrow Land Services. There were a number of trees on my lawn and property with low branches and a live oak one could not walk under. Norbert met with me to determine the scope of work and quoted a firm price. We agreed on 14 large trees to trim and he marked each one with a green paint spot. On the appointed day at least a dozen people with a Bobcat loader arrived and ascended the trees to begin trimming. It was fascinating to watch as they used no ladders, only ropes to climb the trees and trim. All the tree trimmings were carried to a pasture burning pile at my request. The lawn and the trees look great now and one can see the house from the street. More important, I can see the street and surroundings from within the house. There were a few scuffs on the lawn from the Bobcat loader tracks, but nothing that won't grow over after the first rain. In summary, I am well pleased with Good Morrow Land Services and would happily use them again in the future!

Description of Work: The special offer was $600 of tree trimming/removal for $300. Immediately he was quoting up over $1,200 worth of work that they could do in my front yard as well as my backyard. I was only interested in trimming the palms in the backyard and some overhanging branches between my home & my neighbor. They trimmed the overhanging branches, cleaned up everything including blowing off my patio around my pool. They completely decimated my Mediterranean and Sago palms to the point where I had to step out and stop them from completely taking every frond off. I was complete disappointed with the results. I watched them very carefully so they would not take the tops completely off the Queen Palms! They are very knowledgeable on native Texas forest trees. But not with palms!!

Description of Work: Don't get one of these $500 for $1000 worth of work because what happens is the provider knows when you called them that you purchased the deal and they up the price to compensate. I know this because I have purchased these deals from Angie in the past, after having first gotten the estimate for the work from the provider. Not very honest in my opinion and I think Angie's List should reconsider offering this type of deal.

Workers came with equipment and were steadily working and made huge impact in the day they worked on our property opening up the canvas of the trees made such a wonderful impact when inside to the sunshine, and we love the clean lines of the yard now.

In this case, however, provider contacted me for information, which I provided - small lot, two trees, routine maintenance. response was that service would be $1,200. I refused and cancelled deal.

Description of Work: They cut down two large trees that were diseased. I want shopping and two hrs later I came back both trees were gone, stumps ground and no mess left behind. No one thing indicated trees had ever been there. I was impressed.
