+ -1 moreThey were awesome. One of our A/C went out and they were here in 2 hours. Which is awesome in this Texas heat. They were good. Pricing was okay. I would have liked to pay less, but it is what it is. Responsiveness was really good. They were here when they said they would be here. They cleaned up afterwards which I loved. I would use them again.

+ -1 moreThey are a little more expensive then people right in here. They charge me $89 but other people right in here charge $59. The quality is very good. It is always very good and it is usually the same people, you are dealing with someone you already know.

Description of Work: Brian performed a troubleshoot on my furnace because it had stopped working. He found a faulty plug on one of the circuit boards and replaced it (the plug, not the board).

Description of Work: I have been using Diamond for a couple of years to maintain an aging Carrier Central AC. All my calls were trouble calls up to the last one. The 16 year old Carrier System was plagued with electrical problems, clogged drains on the evaporator, and a slow Freon leak. The compressor finally failed completely in December 2012 and I called Diamond out to take a look. Brian (one of Paul's Service Representatives) correctly deduced the problem and suggested a number of alternatives and explained the upside/downsides to each of the options. I am an engineer and I could find no deception in any of his explanations. In short, Diamond and Brian were totally professional. I had done some research and found thru Consumer Reports that the quality differential between the available units was not that great, but the difference in quality was more a factor of the installer. I elected to do the most expensive option which was a complete replacement of the exterior condensor/compressor, attic evaporator & central heating unit. The installation went well and Brian did an excellent job of supervising his installation crew. Indeed...he had the crew rip out some and redo some things there were not to his liking. I am well pleased with the job that was done.

+ -1 moreThe job went well. Paul was the epitome of professionalism. He and his son had a clean cut appearence and both spoke in a clear cut business manner. Diamond Air Conditioning's business card has now joined ranks with the other trusted crafts and service folk's cards that adorn my refrigerator. On the next emergency or system replacement he will be my first call.
Description of Work: My Central Air Conditioning unit failed the previous day in the afternoon. I contacted Diamond in the late afternoon, but they were already engaged with other calls. They did try, but an unexpected thunderstorm made traffic a mess in Houston; therefore they showed up at 9:00 am the next day. Basically, the compressor was not starting, although the condensor fan was running. I suspected that it had to be the run capacitor, the start relay, of a failed compressor. Paul (owner of Diamond) pulled the side off of the condensor unit and the problem became obvious. The run capacitor had spewed the dielectric fluid out its blow hole (pressure relief). Paul replaced the capacitor and did some other service work, which included cleaning the condensor coil and adding some freon.
