Gerald's Appliance and Plumbing

Called for microwave repair about 10 days before Thanksgiving. Repair time waitlist was 7 days. Made the appt and then called again to confirm on Monday preceding my Tuesday appt (Thanksgiving was Thursday.) No serviceman ever showed up for the appt and we received no call to reschedule. We waited until 5pm before calling to inquire. Had to leave a message. No one ever called back. Services were not preformed.

No call no show. I understand if you get busy, but please don't tell me you'll show up today and not. I could have made some more calls and found a plumber that would come out. Now we won't have water for the weekend.

Called Gerald to come out, and was told he would be out the next day in the afternoon, I said great. I won't necessarily be at home, but here is my number, and since I live on the same property where I work, just give me a call, and I will come right over. Next Day comes, no phone call at all. I called back the following day and he said that they got tied up with other appointments and couldn't make it out, and that he would be out the next week, on Tuesday in the morning. I said fine. Same thing Happens. I call back and ask whats up, and he said they got busy. I said never mind I'll find someone else. I was getting ready to go out of town, and while I was out of town I guess he showed up, and I wasn't there. He talked to my boss, and he took him over to my house while I was out of town and then it was fixed while I was gone.

Repair was great but no show on first day as scheduled. Showed up second day.

I made an appointment, they came out to evaluate the job and told me they were going back to the office to order parts. 1 week later I called the owner Gerald and he told me it takes a week to receive the parts, I called a week later and was told the parts have not come in and they would call me when they received them, week 3 I called and they still had not received the parts, week 4 I called and he wasn't sure who I was or what job I was talking about and said he would get with the guys that came out to the site and that he would call me right back. I waited several days and called back to receive a voicemail box that I could no longer leave a message with. It has now been 2 months since they have come out and have never received a call back.

Went very well. Took less than an hour

Polite efficent service and fair price.

Dave has a wealth of experience and is relentless in his effort. The pressure was a mystery to solve. It took 3-4 attempts to resolve the problem. The only issue is he's in high demand and stays booked. He may not have time to take on new work around the home. He specializes in commercial work. Honest, ethical and very fair in pricing. I can see why he's seldom open

This time we called about our water heater acting up and had scheduled them to install a new one on this day. They came ready to install, but upon examination they told us we just needed new thermostats. He advised us that our heater is indeed old and will need to be replaced in the future, but that they always want to save their customers money whenever they can. I have TOTAL faith in these guys to take care of us properly, with professionalism and efficiency and really do trust that they are looking out for us. This has proven out so many tomes over the years that we want everyone to know! They have our glowing endorsement. :)

Have called them out to repair dishwasher. I am sure their work will be excellent see above.

They were friendly and Customer service oriented. That's hard to find these days,

came out to clear a slow running drain in the kitchen sink. proceeded to completely stop up the line and now we have no water drain in the sink. oh, he did leave the cap off the clean out and told us " you can still use it but the water will just flow out on the ground outside" talked to Gerald himself and he said the boy had worked on it for 2 hours and then gave my wife a bill for the $170.00 and said I needed to call somebody else. he would not reduce my bill so I told him off. if you do any business with them good luck, they don't know "com'er from sic'um", when it comes to plumbing, and really don't care. I left a message with the service and received a call back in a day or so. We set up a time for them to come and check out our washer the following week. When I contacted my rental agent to see if the tenant was happy with the repair, I found out that they hadn't been there. I contacted the company to ask what had happened and was told that there was a plumbing emergency at a local high school and that they had been there all day. While I understand that my washer is not as high a priority as a high school without water, it would have been nice to be contacted if the appointment was not going to be kept and be able to reschedule. We were able to reschedule and the repairman contacted me to let me know what was wrong and was honest about the potential cost of the repair being more than buying a new machine. I appreciated his candor and not pushing me to do repairs that weren't necessary.

Greatly appreciate the creativity used to fix our leaky fridge. Besides completing the regular style fix, extra time, knowledge and imagination were used to stop the leak from recurring. Very pleased as our 3 year old fridge was a Consumer Reports recommendation and we didn't expect this leak, which has become a common occurrence per online reports.

Took a few calls to get the visit set up. after that, the service tech showed up as scheduled and did a professional and succesful job at a fair price.

It went perfect. He is a very trustworthy man that does quality work. He found the only downdraft stove I could use and installed it. He had to cut away some granite to do it, and took care of hiring and paying the guy who did it. All the appliances were stainless steel. He cared enough to find us a stainless steel panel for our trash compactor so it would match. I would highly recommend him.

Gerald, his son and grandson (family business) were very responsive, professional and informative. Could not have asked for better service. They are our appliance repair company of choice from now on.

A thunderstorm knocked out the relay on my refrigerator. Called Gerald's Appliance that morning. They responded within a few hours, set up a time to meet him at my house. He arrived on time. Danny, the repairman, took the back of the frig off, found and disconnected the relay, he had one on his truck, he replaced it and my refrigerator was back in perfect working condition in less than an hour. Danny was very curteous and respectfurl. Answered all my questions and concerns.

The repairman arrived as scheduled. He brought the correct replacement switch, based on my information given at the time I made the appointment. It was quite a job to remove the entire double oven, but he had the correct cart to enable him to do that without assistance. He was very cordial and professional, and very knowledgeable about large appliance repair. I would recommend this company to anyone who has an major appliance repair problem. Even though this is my first experience with Gerald's Appliance and Plumbing, they will be the first service I call for any future problem that might present itself.

See above. Was charged just for basic service call. He made some suggestions as to where I might find a comparable working frig. A footnote...the refrigerator has been working great since his visit! I have also used them formy stand-alone ice maker repairs, This is a very professional company and I would not hesitate to call or recommend them for any plumbing or appliance issue I might have. I have always been very please with the work they have done for me. One note...they do not work on LG or Samsung products.

I first called him around 9:30 in the morning, and by 1:45 pm my dryer was repaired. His technicians were all busy with other assignments, so Gerald came to my house to fix my dryer himself. Gerald had suspected the fuse, and that's exactly what the issue was! He had one on his truck, so it was very convenient for both of us. I truly appreciate his responsiveness and effort to get to my home the same day of the initial contact. Will DEFINITELY use him again, if any of my appliances goes on the fritz!

Very professional, quick to respond. Since parts could not be obtained, no repair was necessary. Helpful, courteous. Would use again if needed.

Answered my call on a weekend evening, when I was expecting to leave a message for Monday morning. Quoted me a price $5 cheaper than the store where I bought my new dishwasher, and had a nice man at my house first thing Monday morning. On the phone and in person people were polite and efficient. Would definitely recommend this business, and will use them again when needed.

I have called on Gerald several times over the years. This time my water heater was leaking and he responded with a new installed water heater within hours. As always he was friendly, professional and on time. I will definitely use him again if something needs fixing.

On May 10, I contacted Gerald's and described what was going on. My refrigerator stopped working. He took my name, phone number, and address. Said he would be by on the 13th, around 4:00. On the 13th, around 4:00 he called to say that he would not be able to get here as we had set up, but would come on the 14th. I was not happy waiting anotherr day as my food rots, but I committed to that time. I was then asked to call his number again so I could leave particular model numbers on his phone mailbox. This is also not how I am used to doing business, but I gave it a try. When I call him back, I am told that his mailbox is full and cannot take another message. I waited 3 days, now am asked to wait another day, and leave a message on a machine that is full. I am tired of this game. Goodbye.
