Description of Work: TruBlu completed our pool surface refinishing with the quartz Pebbletec material, and also installed custom cut flagstone arond the pool edge. The pool came out fantastic. We were happy with the service and professionalism of the company, Mark Paulson was very responsive. We asked TruBlu to complete the job because of our neighbor's recommendation from his pool resurface (his pool looks great also), confirmed on Angie's List.

Description of Work: Replaced cpncrete with pavers. Charged for pressurized pipes after compleyion. Never happened. Took 3 mo. And 7 trip back to fix issues they caused by not pressurizing pipe after they fixed. Tgey finalky fixed but they tried shortcuts that caused them less profit.

Description of Work: My plaster is gray and black. The grout for the tile is brown from the bull nose brick bleeding. We contacted Mark in May to come and look at the plaster discoloring. Mark said he would be over HOWEVER, he sent his 'right hand' man who is worthless. Mark didn't want to come and see the problem...our pool is horrible. And we thought Angie's List would be a good place to get a reliable plaster job.

Description of Work: They removed the old fiberglass lining and replastered the pool as well as replace the tile. We also had them pour a concrete slab addition to our patio. Everything was done professionally and in a timely manner. We couldn't be happier with the results. We definitely will be using their services again, and highly recommend them.

The change to our pool is wonderful. We've already had a couple of poolside parties and our guests all commented on the improvement.

They put in a new LED pool light replacing the old 500W light, looks great as does the new electrical conduit. The owner was honest in his estimation of not needing immediate pool resurfacing. I will use them again when I'm ready for pool renovation.

+ 0 moreIt went very well overall. Mark, the owner, does all the estimates and stopped by during the work to make sure we were happy. No pressure to do work other than what you ask for. Don't be put off if asked to pay them half as a deposit, they do need to buy the materials in advance. It was remarkable to watch the crew work, they are craftsmen. I would not hesitate to recommend them or use them again myself if needed.
Description of Work: Based on a referral from my neighbor, we hired Try Blu to resurface our gunite pool. The original plaster had become pitted and stained. They cut into the old plaster around the water level tile and all the pipe outlets. Then they acid washed the entire surface and applied a bonding coat. The following day they applied new plaster and created a new surface, including new 'spotter' tiles on the steps and benches that matched the original color. For the following week they came once a day to clean the pool and adjust the chemistry so that it cured properly. The pool looks brand new.

What I was most impressed with was the efficiency in which the project was done and how cleanly the project was completed. I am certain I made the right choice in selecting Tru Blu. The pool likes incredible. We are extremely pleased.
Description of Work: I obtained 4 different estimates to have our play pool plastered, replace coping tiles with flagstone, replace the old tile with new tile and replace the mastic. Mark came out and with confidence gave me a competitive estimate. Mark's selling point to me was when he emphasized that he does not build pools, he only does renovations and has done so for over 20 years.

+ -1 moreThe renovation went very well and we are happy with how it turned out. Right at about one year after, we noticed a crack in the plaster (pool surface), mastic and deck surface. Mark came out to look but said he needed to wait for warmer temps before could do the repair work. We have not heard back from him. Now we have more cracks and have attempted to contact him to see if we can get resolved. So for now we're downgrading his Angie's list rating until we are satisfied with the repair. To be fair, we did not follow up with him again after he came over to see the cracks. I'll upgrade his rating if Tru Blu does satisfactory repair.

Worked in a timely matter considering 107 degree temperatures. Only problem is left over plaster and/or cement left in yard and not cleaned up. Also part of pool disconnected but not sure when that was done or who did it. Seems to be an easy and not too expensive fix to put it back.

Everyone that worked on it was very prompt and polite. Everything went pretty much according to schedule and Mark was very good about returning our calls. We love the new look!
