Tru Blu Pool Renovations

The whole process was very smooth and thorough. We did not have to worry about anything, not even emptying or refilling the pool. Mark even called back 7-10 days after the job was finished to follow-up. We are very satisfied with the job and the service provided!

All went very well. All of the crew were very professional and dedicated at their job. Timing and scheduling were was promised. The job was finished timely and at the agreed upon price.

I am impressed. Once the plaster was seen (ithe color was black or gray in color in a large area) the pool was treated with chemicals 2 to 3 times a week from the same service man who works for Tru Blu. The Tru Blu staff were very polite and professional every time they worked on the pool.

The price for the resurface was $5700 and we had them do some other stuff. I called 3 from the List. In the end it was actually great customer service. We picked a really bad color and they hadn't used it very much. It was hard to apply and hard to get even. They ended up having to take it all off and redo the whole job. They didn't charge us any extra money. They guaranteed their work.

We contracted Tru Blu pool renovations to completely redo our pool, spa and deck. Crews took the old deck and coping off first and removed all concrete debris. The next step was to level our pool walls due to ground movement. This was accomplished and then our new tile was installed along with the new coping and skimmers, we went with the oklahoma flagstone for coping and for the new spa spillway too. The new cool deck was installed next and colored. Final step was our new plaster, we decided on the stonescape mini-pebble in black with abalone shell fora little bling look. We are extremely pleased with the pool and the work performed by Mark Paulson, owner of Tru Blu Pool Renovations. Mark has good crews that do quality work. We would use them again for any other pool related work. We are really proud of our pool area now, it was 21 years old since it was built and tru blu made it look like a brand new pool was dropped in it's place. We couldn't be happier with the work. First class job.

We had our pool resurfaced, we had our deck resurfaced, we had installed a water system put in, we had new tiles replaced and irrigation repair. It was done quickly.

This renovation was awesome from start to finish. Only took 3 days. Mark and his team are incredible, work fast and are very awesome at what they do. Renovation started on Wednesday by removing old plaster and putting a sealant on. Thursday they blew the new pebble finish on and Friday was acid wash and refilling. I couldn't be more happy with the results!! Thanks, Mark!!

I had this company out several years ago to repair the grout on my pool deck. We were happy with them then. My pool has now reached the age where it needs major repairs (pool deck repair, tile replacement, and re-plastering.) I called them twice asking for someone to come out and give me an estimate on this work. I first called them last Thursday. I reached their "message center" and left a message. I was told someone would call back and arrange a time to come out. On Monday when I hadn't been contacted I called back and once again reached their message center. I explained that I had called once and that nobody had returned my call. Once again I left a message and was told someone would call me. This is Wednesday and since I still had not been contacted. I called a third time and when I reached the message center, I told them that I had called twice and not received a return call. I further told them that I would be using another company.

He gave me a quote but when I tried to call back to get the work scheduled, they never return my call. He came out and gave me a quote for different portions of the work. But when I wanted the smaller portion of the work done, well they were not willing to do it. I call them for weeks and weeks and no response. When it is for a bigger job, he was pretty responsive and gave me a quote. To me that is the basic bottom line with the company, don’t do business if you don’t always return people. If nothing else, return the call and say sorry we can’t get to you, that is the courtesy of a return phone call. If you don’t, that really concerns me and even if I had the work done and I had an issue, to me that speaks about professionalism.

I tried to schedule the work but ended up canceling. Their price was a little higher than some competitors that I found but I was having trouble getting it scheduled with them. They actually weren't the friendliest over the phone so I told them I would find somebody else.

TruBlu replaced pool tile, resurfaced pool, replaced rotted wood in expansion joints of deck and replaced filler between coping and deck. Mark was punctual for all appointments and called the day before workers arrived. We are very pleased with the professionalism of the workers and their workmanship. The only drawback has been waiting for the final step of plaster clean-up.

Very punctual, professional. We did not have to be involved in making sure work was completed by company. If you want someone you can just turn the repairs over to without concern of who is coming and going, this is your company.

It went GREAT. Mark has put together a wonderful team of professionals. Each team had its specialty and did it well. They started with draining the pool and then a husband & wife team to do the tile work. After that, and a bit of weather related delay, the next team did the deck. They were fun to watch as each did a part of the task. all were very careful to prevent spray on other surfaces. They wore golf shoes to allow walking on the new surface without leaving footprints. The next team worked on electrical issues, removing pool lights and filling the hole. After that the plaster crew came and prepped for the new plaster. The next day they arrived with the plaster truck and began spraying new plaster. As they worked they used "shoes" with long spikes to allow walking on the new surface. At the finish they used "shoes" wrapped with very large sponges to finalize the smoothing process. All in all it was a joy to watch and we appreciated all of their hard work. Mark was there to assure everything was going as planned.

First a detail work requirement was worked thru and a Daily Work Schedule (DWS), This was a great opportunity for my family and me to sit and watch professionals perform. They were kind effect to a allow us to watch from a safe distance. just about all projects were completed in one day per project. I'm retired from the Navy and DoD Quality Assurance contract over sight for Aircraft manufacturing and This wish great to observe such team work, 1 Rain day delay, and no other delays. My warranty is over and I don't need it. Everything is as I wanted''''''' Thanks to the TruBlue team

Not well as it took over a week for him to return a call

Our experience with them was good. He addressed our concerns immediately, whenever we had a problem he came out right away. Their prices were competitive and in line with everyone else. Our only problem was that he never came for a final walk through after the project was completed, even though everything went well.

We had just finished landscaping our backyard, and we had new plants everywhere (new trees, shrubs and flowers). Tru-BLU did an amazing job protecting those plants. Some got roughed up but no plants lost their lives in the production of these changes. Every crew came in, did their work leaving behind their completed portion of the project. We had a particular vision of how we wanted the stone coping to look, Mark and the stone cutters worked with us to get it right. We worked with them and it took several days to locate the stone with the colors we wanted. The stone cutters understood what we were looking for and worked with Mark to find what we wanted. We were very please with the work of the stone cutters. The plastering is an amazing process of team work. Mark's crew were trained in applying the pebble tech product and showed their experience by the way they set up for the plastering process and supported each other during the application of the plaster. The equipment swap went very smoothly, and I was glad to get a new pool filter to go with my refinished pool. This was our first pool remodel, and we were put off by the non-engaged approach of the big pool companies. Other friends had their pools refinished but we weren't able to see the process and a couple of the references were non responsive. Visiting a couple of Mark's recent customers showed us he could do the job well and what we could expect the final pool to look like.We had a couple of rain delays and the coping took longer than expected to find the right rock for the look we were trying to get on our pool. In looking back, I can't see how they could have completed the project any faster. We are very pleased with the way the pool looks and highly recommend Tru BLU.

He returned my phone call right away. He was able to come out and fill in the pool; as well as came back out months later, purchasing more dirt to re-level the pool. I would recommend him, because he does good work and he is very honest. He also had great pricing.

Mark has a wonderful group of subcontractors that were all very polite and extremely neat in their clean up. He also was always accessible. What he told us would happen and when it would take place was spot on. He is a man of his word.

I had my pool re-plastered by another company two years ago and the plaster had already begin to separate from the base of the pool (no they would not cover it under warranty). Mark came in on a Saturday to look at it and confirmed what we thought was wrong. He quoted that day and started the job on the following Monday. Job was complete and turned over to my pool maintenance guy within a week. nice Job in an incredible amount of time

Mark came to the house, evaluated the work that needed to be done, communicated that to us and a price was given. When the service agreement had been made, the work began promptly. It was completed on time, as promised. The crew was proficient and professional throughout the service provided. We were pleased with the end result and the communication between us and Mark.
