Reasonable prices, followed by prompt excellent work with with exceptional follow up throughout the process. Kind professional attitudes exhibited by everyone involved from the owner to the laborers. I have and will continue to use Mark and Tru Blu for additional pool repair and renovation needs.

My pool light had sprung a leak. I called mark to send someone to take a look. He promptly sent someone and suggested that given this is the second time the leak has happened, I should go for a new light. I called Mark and asked him to provide me a light at a cost he had committed more than a year ago. Also, I requested him to fix it same day because I had some gust coming for a pool party the next day. Though his technician did not seem keen, Mark asked him to make the change the same day to which the the tech complied. The LED light is much better than the normal light. Now, the technician was not knowledgeable enough on the programming of he light, but he installed it fairly well. Let’s talk about post installation support. The first few modes of this light actually are programmed to rotate different colors, which I was not aware of. To the best of my knowledge, the tech did not give me the manual, or maybe I had misplaced it. So I called up Mark to have him send his tech to look at the light. He came, reluctantly and did not know much abt the different modes. Post that, I called mark again. He arranged the Pentax warranty person to come to my home and check the lights. Also the Pentax tech gave me a manual so I can understand the broad functioning of the light. Mark throughout has been very responsive and supportive -that is why I will do business with him again, and again. Thanks Mark, the pool looks much better with these new fantastic lights.

Went very well. I requested and took Mark's advice on appearance items. Mark was here most mornings to check on progress. Also, he was acceptably prompt in answering text questions--has to run a business... Basically, it was a small 15K, pool restorations. Results were great. The pictures are before, during and after construction.

Everything went great and the pool looks fantastic! Our pool was originally built in 1984; we had it replastered twice before and equipment replaced as needed, but that is about all we had done. It was time to have the pool totally remodeled. We had 4 companies bid on the work. Tru Blu was not the least expensive but they were willing to do everything we needed done at a reasonable price. We really enjoyed working with Mark Paulson. We found him knowledgeable, and he communicated with us in a timely fashion, kept us informed of next steps; we couldn't ask for more. We have had many compliments on our pool.

The process was smooth from beginning to end. Mark does an EXCELLENT job communicating and following up.

It was a big job and he said it would be done by Christmas and it was done two weeks before Christmas. The cement work they did and drainage system is incredible .. always answered calls or returned them within minutes.. did everything he said he was going to do and then some. I would highly recommend this company !!!

The work went very well. It began when mark had given us an estimate. The estimate was competitive, and complete. While most of the other providers were not able to start within the next few weeks, Mark committed to start quickly. The work was done on time, and quality was very nice as well. The pool looks amazing. One thing stands out when I think of TruBlue is the responsiveness. Never has been there an instance when Mark was not available. In fact I remember while when we reached out to him, and he was sick but he picked up ththe call and spoke to us. We would love to work with him again.

They were here May of 2016. It cost $8300.

signed with Mark on Thursday, crew was there Saturday to repair tiles. Monday crew prepped pool for resurfacing, this required a couple of days of curing. Crew came Wednesday and resurfaced the pool. Hermano came by the Friday after we signed and when he left by the end of the day we had all new equipment save the pump which was repaired the next week. Overall great, timely service... highly recommend.

Project went well and the owner Mark will send someone out anytime there is an issue after the project is done. It was a good experience! Mark is not a man of many words and does not try to sell you anything but comes through on his word, time and time again. A reputable company who has been in business for a long time. Recommend to anyone!

Mark came and left a quote on my door the next day after I contacted him. It was the best quote and Mark was pleasant to deal with. The work began soon after I accepted his quote and was finished in a timely manner. Payment was expected in stages as the work was done.

Overall: After getting quotes over a year ago, Mark was the only one to stay in touch until I was finally ready to put together exactly what I wanted. We trusted his recommendation for the pool surface material and color and it came out looking fantastic, he answered every question I had (and I think I ask a lot). After the job was complete, one of his crew returned repeatedly over the next few weeks to adjust the chemicals and even did some light maintenance on the equipment when there was a leak. Pool Surface: My old surface was plaster and the new one is mini pebble. I got to witness the prep and progression and in the middle of the job the crew had to take off about a week due to heavy rains. Because my pool is slightly downhill, when they returned they had a pool nearly full with muddy water to clean up before they could apply the new surface. We asked for a color that would make the pool look very Caribbean but I was a little concerned when I saw how dark the color was before they acid washed and filled it. When it was done and full of water it looked fantastic and exactly the color we had described. The mini pebble really catches the light and shimmers as some of the stone reflects back like little diamonds. We can't wait to swim this summer. Coping/wall cap: I had flagstone coping originally that was in bad shape due to lack of care on my part (I wasn't sealing it and I have a salt water pool). He provided me with a recommendation the sealer to use on the new coping which looked fantastic, its darker and looks more like what I see in new construction. The pieces are nice and thick (old ones weren't as thick). When his crew completed a portion of the project differently than I had expected he had them redo the portion that needed correction (related to stone cutting around a post). Veneer: I had a plain flagstone veneer on the retaining wall and wanted a dry stack style face, I thought the faux kind would have been adequate but he quoted and was able to use real stone, individually stacked and secured to the wall and it came out looking great. The wall extends from over the back of the pool around 2 sides of our patio. The previous wall had some leveling issues and they cleaned the lines up as part of the job. Water Features: I had aerator style spouts made of PVC which worked but I hated to look of. Originally I wanted the sheer type water feature to come out from between the stacked stone wall but that would have required an extra pump and some new plumbing. Together we came up with an adjustment to the feature using a rainfall style that's very similar but didn't require an extra pump/plumbing. Light Conversion: I had fiber optic lights and the old transformer was blown, the crew replaced the transformer box and ran new wires and LED lights using existing conduit. The lights are brighter than the old fiber optic and create a magical glow as the light bounces off the new surface.

Things went great! Marc was the middle of the road on the estimates we got. Some wanted to redo it all for outrageous amounts, others wanted to cover the problem we had had with the plaster and algae by draining and washing and temporary measures and nothing else. Marc was very precise in his estimate letting us know what could be saved/kept and what needed to be redone. The work was done quickly, everything was clean and put back by the end of the day. They were very careful about the gate and my little dogs. It came out great and the pool looks brand new. I would definitely refer them and use them again.

We chose Tru blu Renovations not because they were the cheapest but because they had the most and the best reviews on Angies list. I spoke with Marc numerous times before he did the work. When he came to the house I gave him my credit card for the $3000.00 deposit only. He ended up making 2 more charges to the card without my permission and ran my card over the limit. Knowing that he kept my credit card number and made charges without my permission or knowledge a week before he was even finished I had to cancel my card. I ask for a receipt on the filter and work that was done and I still don't have a receipt that I requested. While the crew was here they never cleaned up my yard and I have 3 dogs who kept eating the trash, and pvc pipes, paper and values. Every time I called Marc he would tell me that they would clean it up tomorrow. They were supposed to fix my water feature, they dug it out and I requested that they not fill in the hole, because the first time they were supposed to fix it, it was leaking. They came back out to fix it and buried it before I was able to check and see if it was leaking. The crew was extremely rude to my daughter and myself. I have a garage in the back of my house and excess from the alley. I have a front gate and an gate off the driveway I left both unlocked but the crew would always pull up in the driveway to the garage door, we had to ask numerous times for them to move so we could go to work, the driveway is stained from their leaky trucks and when they would leave they not only rutted both sides of my drive they pulled out across the neighbors yards and left deep ruts there too. The last day I saw one of them leave they drove over the yard and hit the neighbors trash can. There was no communication between Marc and his crew, he would tell me that they were going to powerwash the deck, they didnt, when they tested the pool water the test strips ended up in the pool and I cleaned them out. They were supposed to show my daughter and myself how to clean the filter, when we mentioned it to his crew they said they were just supposed to answer our questions. it took about 3 weeks altogether and it was freezing, the crew left both of my hoses hooked up to the faucets and our insulated covers to the out facets thrown on the ground. Also from the first day here, they opened all of our covers on the pool controls and left them that way. The pump lid was left off until the day we filled the pool. When the equipment was turned backed on the pump was making an awful noise it never made before. I called Marc and he told his guys never touched it and it was because the equipment was shut off. These people have no respect for your property, but with a owner who keeps your credit card number and charges your card without your knowledge i really shouldn't have been as surprised.

Went pretty well, took about two weeks longer than we thought it would, he had some scheduling personnel issues he wasn't counting on. In addition, break-in period once pool was up was a bit shaky. The pool guy that was in charge of pool break in once it was filled back up wasn't particularly helpful, and we're not sure he did everything he was supposed to. Our chemical guy had a heart attack when the pool was handed back to us. (crazy amount of acid in the pool) We ended up brushing the pool quite a bit after it was done, and I think everything ended up fine anyways. Overall, he did exactly what we said he'd do, for a fair price. We are satisfied, and would use tru-blue again. We have learned quite a bit through the process, and have a better idea of what to watch for and expect the next time we do something like this again. (which won't be for a long long time hopefully)

Estimates were accurate. Follow up was very timely. The work started on time and the crew worked very clean. The work was continuous. That is to say, they began and worked until the job was finished. There were no days in which they did not work. They made good suggestions on color, rock type and design.

Fantastic, completed on time, on budget. Results were stunning.

Overall good quality job, the 2nd time around. To keep my blood pressure from getting too high, I'm going to skip alot of the details. Long story short, none of these pool plastering companies do the work themselves. They sub contract a bunch of illegal aliens to do the work, that was the case here. Blanco's Plastering did all of the work, they did an awful job the first time, after nearly losing my s### one morning, they finally agreed to redo the redo of the pool. Got alot of patience, like blowing money and time? Go for it, redo your pool...or try someone else. My pool looks good now, but it sure didn't start out that way.

They let the pool turn green at least 4 times in 3 months. Didn't come sometimes when they told us they would. I had to hire someone to clean the pool up.

Called four times, connected to message service each time. I left two messages with answering service requesting an appointment for a work cost estimate, still have not received a response.

Mark was very punctual and professional. He was knowledgeable about the products and processes, and did a very good job of walking us through the work. His estimate was prompt and follow up was complete. We chose another contractor to do the work just based on the preference of materials to be used, but would highly recommend anyone looking to renovate their existing pool to contact Mark for an estimate.
