I sent an email via kleincustombuilders.com and said that I wanted to build an addition onto our home for my wife's elderly parents. I provided the approximate specifications and said that it needed to have handicap features. Shortly afterwards, the proprieter called and set up an appointment. He worked with us and developed a design based on our needs. He then prepared a contract, with a proposed cost that we thought was quite reasonable - after signing and providing the initial of 6 payments, his team went to work. Within the first two weeks, the foundation was laid and carpentry work began. And after 3 months, the job was done. The addition involved adding a 30' x 30' slab to the back corner of our home and enclosing our existing back porch (with a new porch built into the addition). It includes a large bedroom, a handicap accessible bathroom with walk-in closet, kitchenette, and living/dining area. The enclosed porch functions as a sun room or sitting room as well as a hallway that provides personal space between the new residents and our family. Approximately 750 heated square feet were added to our home. We are very pleased with the results and we are pleased with how professional and accomodating this builder was to our needs. The various work crews were polite and pleasant and seemed to take pride in the quality of their work. Small adjustments and decisions on design and features were made along the way, especially for the handicap features. And the builder went to great lengths to match the brick and the siding with that of our 10-year old existing home. We are very pleased and we highly recommend this builder, who not only builds additions but full homes as well.
