The work this company did is beautiful. I couldn't be happier with the whole project -- Eduardo Chibli is excellent to work with, the workmen are true craftsmen, and the place was cleaned very well afterwards. I would use this company again in an instant. Highly recommended

Patio turned out beautiful. We had a muddy, wet side to the house that needed either sod or a patio. We decided on a patio. Next came time to decide on pavers vs concrete. After studying our options we decided on pavers. It was always a tricky area because of all the plumbing on that side of the house. Mr Chibli moved what needed to be moved and worked around the other. We've already had many compliments on the look. We are so happy we followed through.

Mr Chibli was excellent, prompt, and professional. He worked with me on the scope and pricing for the project so I could stay in budget. He offered ideas for how to solve problems and inputs on what he knew would look the best. His team was courteous and neat. The quality of the work is outstanding and the walkway was especially beautifully done. The curved lines, the gentle grading, and install on a slight slope were all handled expertly and the results were more than I had hoped for. My husband had some concerns over the grading but even he was impressed with the results. In the backyard we had a retaining wall that had previously been used as a base for a high fence. After that fence was taken down by the previous owners, the holes and metal post bases, and residual concrete were all left in an unsightly mess. Chibli Stone removed all the excess materials and then placed cut slab cap stones along the wall. Not only did this make the wall beautiful but the height is perfect for seating. Now we have an extra seating area for outside entertaining. The cut stone edging in the back was selected to blend with the retaining wall stone and we modified the flower bed line to blend with the wall. The backyard also has a slope and drainage issue but they handled the stone edging so well that they incorporated the drainage I needed and even built the edging to integrate with a downspout gutter in one area. I am so pleased with their work and communication. The original install week was delayed due to several weeks of rain in DFW but they stayed in contact and we were able to get the work done before my deadline. I would highly recommend Chibli Stone and will not hesitate to use their services in the future.

We are extremely happy with the every aspect of this work. I did a great deal of research and methodically contacted all of the contractors who received favorable ratings on Angie's List. A surprising number never returned my call. One came for an estimate, but never provided the estimate. Eduardo came out immediately and provided an estimate in a day or so. He provided great consultation on the job and when we decided to go with him, he continued to work with us on refining the design and working with our chosen source for pavers to insure the best possible mix of materials and colors. It turns out that Eduardo was waiting to begin a big job, so we were able to have the work done almost immediately. He brought a crew of eight with several trucks, so all of the job, particularly debris removal, was done on one day. A few details were finished the next morning. Almost all of the work was done by hand, including the demolition and removal of the existing walk. These guys worked hard and clearly took great pride in their work. There were many, many custom cuts required to the pavers because we chose a curvilinear design. The crew had long and spirited debates about the layout and the cuts, which I wish I could have understood, but they were speaking Spanish. Eduardo later told me that they loved the design and I thought they must have enjoyed something different than the norm, despite all the extra and exacting work that the design required. I wish I could attach pictures of the finished work to this review. Everyone who has seen it has been surprised and really impressed. The stone supplier wanted additional pictures of the finished product and he commented on the quality of the workmanship. Once the new landscape has grown in, this walk will be the centerpiece of fantastic curb appeal. It would certainly make the house easier to sell quickly and I think it more than returned the investment in increased house value. Thank you to Eduardo and his great crew! **I do have a note about Angie's List ratings. Eduardo's are great, no matter how you sort them. If you filter out critiques from people who did not have the work done, his all time ratings are 94% A's and 6% B's. I think this is true of many small business owners. Because of the ups and downs of their workload, it is sometimes hard to get in touch with them or to get a bid. This frustrates potential customers and some give really harsh ratings, as a result. A couple of the ones I talked to just told me they were too busy to consider a job right now. One gave me an estimate on the phone and said that it would be at least six weeks before he could get to the job. Ideally, they would all do that. If you really want a high level of customer service when you are just kicking the tires, you should stick with a big contractor who has professional sales people and who runs lots of crews. I prefer to find the craftsmen and artisans, like Eduardo, who will do a great job at a good price.

Eduardo Chibli is great. He proved a fair estimate and his crew of four men disassembled the old fence and used it in the background of the new stone wall to make it wider and much more attractive than the old one. Eduardo also provided suggestions on how to make the stone wall more attractive and he was correct. I really like the way it looks and will call Eduardo again.

Although we couldn't negotiate a price we were both comfortable with, Eduardo was professional, courteous, patient, and made two trips out to my property to ensure he was providing us his best price. I appreciate that. We worked through the design together and Eduardo answered all my questions regarding this tricky build. Eduardo's quote was fair, but it was more than I was willing to spend.
Description of Work: The plan was to remove 72' of landscaping timbers, 30" high, and replace with a stone wall that would average 45" high and 12" thick. Also discussed installing a 12" square drain the captured runoff and drained it out the bottom of the wall.

It was a pleasure doing business with Eduardo and am very happy with the work his company did for us. I did shop around and received competitive quotes from other highly rated Angie's List resources, but the they were more expensive, or wanted to sell me stamped concrete for nearly the same price I was able to get top quality flagstone from Chibli Stone Works. As the owner of the company, Eduardo explained the process and I knew that I was in good hands. The job took two solid days of work by his team and they were very professional. Again, the work they did is beautiful, and we are enjoying our new patio!

It was a pleasure working with Eduardo and his team. We had scheduled an appointment very quickly to discuss our project and received a bid within 24 hours. Despite the massive amount of rain we experienced in our area, Eduardo kept us updated on our project status, and as soon as it was possible, they were at our home completing the job. We appreciated this conscientious customer service, the fair and appropriate pricing, and the quality of the projects. The work site was left in very good shape as well- we were very pleased!

Eduardo came out the next day after I phoned him and provided an estimate shortly thereafter. After we notified him that we would like to work with his company, he came out again with his lead crewman to ensure the exact amount of work involved and we agreed on a price. Eduardo had his crew come out the following Wednesday and the work was essentially finished on Friday. I can't say enough about what an exceptional job Eduardo and his crew did on our patio. We had to replace the original patio after only 10 years due to shoddy work that caused cracking that was un repairable. Our new patio is gorgeous and what a real Oklahoma flagstone patio should look like. I was home during the entire tear out and rebuild so I was able to see how poorly constructed the old patio was compared to the first rate work done on the new patio. I would highly recommend Chibli Stone Works if you are looking to put in a natural stone patio. Eduardo was easy to work with and responsive to all my questions and concerns. I highly recommend this company.

Fabulous! Mr. Chibli and I corresponded via email for several weeks to nail down a price and date, and then when I needed to reach him by phone he was always available. He showed up on time, and the yard was clean and demolition free when I arrived home that night. He even went above and beyond and laid some concrete under the gravel base for us, to prevent sinking. I would absolutely use him again.
Description of Work: My husband and I purchased this home in 2009,and it was built in 1992. It had been a rent house all its existence, so you can imaging the state it was in when we bought it. The retaining wall replacement was one of the biggest expenses we had, and my most important. The old rail road ties that had held up the ground for 22 years were rotted, crumbling, and looked absolutely awful. Mr. Chibli and his team came out and removed the old ties, and gave us a beautiful Windsor paver retaining wall.

After hiring Eduardo's company, he referred us to a stone yard where my wife and I could view the different types and colors of stone compatible with the job requirements. We had shown him a detailed picture of a stone fireplace my wife had found on a website and Eduardo knew immediately what type and color of stone we were talking about. We wanted to see the stone for ourselves so we visited the stone yard and confirmed our choice. We had a scheduling challenge to deal with as we are having a flat screen TV mounted on the fireplace wall above the firebox and some prep work needed to be done on that project before the stone construction work could begin. Eduardo was willing and able to accommodate our schedule. He sent his guys in to remove the existing slate tiles one day and my surround sound company came in the following day to attach the mounting support to the wall, around which the stone could be built. Eduardo showed up with his crew to discuss the tear out with them as well as to explain to me how the job was to proceed. Due to all the rain we had had earlier in the week, Eduardo was forced to postpone the pouring of concrete for one of his outdoor jobs and was able to come back and begin stone construction a day earlier than scheduled. It couldn't have worked better. Tear-out one day, TV mount construction the next, stone construction the third day. Eduardo and his crew showed up when they said they would both for the tear-out day and the final construction day. He spent considerable time both days overseeing the operation. That was important to me. He didn't just turn his crew loose and was there to answer my questions and let me know all was under control. We had new wood floors put in a couple of months ago and were very concerned that they be protected while materials were being brought in and taken out of the house. Our floors look great because the Chibli crew took good care to protect them. Upon completion of the job, the Chibli crew cleaned up the material, swept and vacuumed their work area, and left us with a beautiful new fireplace that my wife and I agree has transformed the look of our family room. We will be hiring Chibli Stone Works again.

Eduardo was very professional in his approach to all aspects of estimating the job, performing the work and ensuring my satisfaction. He frequently visited the work site to make sure everything was on track and that we were satisfied with the work as it progressed. If I have more stone or paver work I will definitely use Chibli Stone Works and will recommend them to my friends looking for the same.

I really just wanted something functional since it wasn't in a very visible part of the yard. We found Chibli Stone Works, and Eduardo, on Angie's List. His "A" ratings proved true! We made an appointment with Eduardo to get an estimate for: (1) a retaining wall on the north side of our property, which had experienced significant erosion over the past decade; (2) a flagstone patio in the front of our home that would replace the existing standard concrete sidewalk and porch; (3) a stone flower bed, of undetermined design and size, in the front yard; (3) a matching stone border to wrap around existing shrubs near the front of the house; and (4) a similar flagstone patio in the corner of the backyard that would incorporate three mature crape myrtles. Our basic thought is that hiring a contractor to do work on your home is always a bit of a leap of faith, even one recommended on Angie's List; but listening to Eduardo speak about his trade, in terms of our project, made us feel that he was experienced, knowledgeable, and had that "creative gene" that is not necessarily common among contractors. The day of our appointment, Eduardo was 10 minutes early. He listened to what we wanted, took measurements, and offered suggestions where we were unsure. We were going to approach this project in two phases because of the need for fill dirt once a retaining wall was complete; and the back of the property needed fill dirt, and leveling, before the back patio could be installed. We offered to tear out the existing concrete porch and sidewalk to save costs. We were afraid we might have taken on too much for our budget and would have to forego the back corner patio. He gave us our estimate by that Sunday, August 10, as agreed. We were very happy with the price and would be able to do all of it! My husband spent the next weekend (August 16-17) tearing out the old concrete at our front door and the sidewalk leading to the driveway (with the aid of a jack-hammer rental and couple of trips to the Lewisville City Dump). Eduardo was able to send a crew the morning of August 19th, which began the 65 foot retaining wall and the Oklahoma flagstone front porch and sidewalk. They were done in TWO days. His crew was incredible. They worked like a machine. We were in awe at the finished product and difference it made in the appearance of our property. We would walk outside in the evenings and just stare at it. Next came the dirt work and the removal of the existing grass by a landscaper. Once that was complete, we notified Eduardo and he came back to our home to map out the 60 foot flower bed and shrub border. We were open to the design as long as there were no corners or straight edges. I wanted something with movement and not a "box." With a can of spray paint and a tape measure, he designed an irregular, figure-8 shape that encircled a large oak tree in the front yard. Next, he drew a similar curving border in front of the shrubbery in front of the house that transitioned easily to meet the flagstone porch. Eduardo also suggested that we ring the crape myrtles, in the back yard, to protect them from the fill dirt and flagstone. We purchased sandstone bricks from Home Depot and ringed each tree approximately 3-4 ft. in radius from the trunk. He sent the same crew back to install the borders over his design. They nailed it. Once again, TWO days later, they had completed the borders and the 300 sq. ft. flagstone patio in the back corner of our yard. It is beautiful. We couldn't be happier. Eduardo of Chibli Stone Works did exactly what he said he would do and when he would do it. But what exceeded our expectations was his ability to "see" what we imagined. Shout out to his crew! They are truly talented.
Description of Work: Installed an Oklahoma flagstone patio at the front door/porch area; a 60 ft., figure 8 shaped, stone, flower bed at the front of the property; a 26 ft. matching stone border in front of shrubbery; a 68 ft. long sandstone retaining wall; and a 300 sq. ft. Oklahoma flagstone circular patio in the backyard.
