Services we offer
Flagstone patios, flower bed borders, stone or brick columns, stone steps, stone retaining walls, outdoor fireplaces, outdoor kitchens & bars. Fire pits, stone veneers, walkways, stepping stones. While I stand behind my work and past projects and gladly follow up with my customers, we do not offer small repairs for other companies' work.
Working with Eduardo and his company was fantastic. He came out to provide two different quotes over the past year, one for a retaining wall and another for a flagstone walkway and stone border around a flower bed. He is very friendly, punctual and professional. His quotes weren't detailed but he was willing to answer any follow-up questions and the pictures of his work that others have posted, and those on his website, should be a testament to his crew's ability to get the job done right. We had a retaining wall company build the wall because they came in quite a bit lower in price (although in retrospect I wish I had gone with Eduardo). We did have Eduardo complete the flagstone walkway and stone border. His price was reasonable compared to other quotes we received. Also, he didn't require any money up front, which is hopefully a sign that he runs his business well. I get nervous about the financial stability of any company that requires money down on a smaller project like the one we had done. I'm not in the construction trade, but Eduardo's crew seems to do things right, so the work will last. The concrete base of the walkway was fully reinforced with rebar and the mortared-in stone edging around the bed was placed on a concrete base that was also reinforced with rebar. This should prevent the border from the cracking that is all too common in our area. The stone edging is perfectly level with the house and the two curves in the edging were done well. I provided Eduardo with a drawing to use and he even came out the day before his crew was going to start to make sure that he understood exactly what I wanted (we laid out the hose in the shape of the walkway and border that I was going after). His crew finished the whole project on time and cleaned up everything before leaving (the same cannot be said for all contractors we've used in the past). The completed stonework looks great. We hope to use Chibli Stoneworks again for some stonework in the back yard.
Description of Work: 4 foot wide x 25-30 foot long mortared flagstone walkway with 4 integrated steps. 35-40 feet of mortared stone edging varying from one to four stones in height.
Received multiple bids and quickly learned that our situation was unique and stretching most bidders out of their comfort zone. Eduardo Chibli was both an exception and exceptional regarding knowledge, quality, pricing and responsiveness. We and the homeowners association are very pleased with the outcome appearance. Obviously, time will tell regarding structural integrity once the drought-lowered water level returns to normal height. Every confidence, however, that it will be sound and withstand the special water conditions. Likely witll have Eduardo quote a second project to add a patio by the lake.
Description of Work: Replaced a 25-foot section of stone "sea wall" that retains 4' high section of yard adjacent to our lake and which had fallen down. Very tricky, since footing is under water most of the year. Definitely understood this specialty, dramatically increased footing width and depth, added steel reinforcment, backfilled with gravel and added drainage pipes. Outstanding finished product aesthetics!

Eduardo Chibli of Chibli Stone Work provided excellent service from start to finish. He and his crew were thorough and timely in the execution of the project and very respectful of our time and property, and that of the adjacent neighbor. Another contractor was hired to install fencing and commented on the exceptional workmanship of the retaining wall, and when they ran into a problem anchoring the fence posts, Chibli Stone was prompt in addressing the problem so that the project could be completed. We would highly recommend Chibli Stone Work based on our experience doing business with them.

I contacted Eduardo for a quote on a patio extension. He contacted me in a timely fashiion. We scheduled a time for him to come out and give us an estimate and he arrived on time. He gave us a quote that was very reasonable and we decided to use Chibli Stoneworks for our patio. He scheduled us for the project and it was started on time. It was delayed a few days due to rain that cam through the area that week. The guys were very professional and they cleaned up the yard very well. You couldn't even tell they had been there. The patio is very nice. We will use Chibli again for any projects we have.
Description of Work: We had them add a 150 sq. ft. extension to our existing patio. They used oklahoma flagstone on top of a concrete foundation. They did an excellent job and the clean up was great. We love our new patio!

Eduardo was completely responsive, either by email or phone. It took just a little over a week from the time I first contacted him for a bid to actually perform the work. I had gotten three bids...his was the lowest, and after reading all the positive things on Angie's List about him, I decided to go with Eduardo. He also offered a coupon for $250 for $500 worth of work, if you spent over $1,500, so that helped. I had friends coming into town mid-July, and he was going out of town right before that, so he went out of his way to get it done for me before my company came. It was an eyesore with that railroad tie lying in the middle of the walkway, so I was very happy he was able to accommodate me so quickly! The crew arrived on Monday morning and began work. By the time I returned home from work that day at 5:30, they were putting the finishing touches on it, and wrapping it up! I couldn't believe they completed it in one day! It looks amazing! And they cleaned up after themselves. If you're looking for someone communicative and easy to work with who does exemplary work, this is your guy! When I get ready to replace the other side of my yard with a stone retaining wall, I will definitely contact Eduardo to do it! Thanks, Eduardo!
Description of Work: Eduardo replaced a retaining wall that consisted of rotting railroad ties in my back yard that had recently collapsed. I had decided to go with a stone wall. He installed steps where there were none leading from the garage door, providing easy access to the backyard. He carefully matched an existing wall that extended from the fence to where the railroad ties were. He built up the wall so that it was all the same level, and placed a flagstone cap on the entire top of it, stairs included, creating a place to plant annuals or perennials. It looks great! I had also asked him if he would rework an existing waterfall area which he did free of charge. I had some electrical repairs done to the unattached garage and the electrician had messed up the waterfall area while buying an underground cable. Eduardo's guys reworked and repositioned the rocks so you couldn't see the tarp lining the bottom, and made it look much more aestetically pleasing.

Eduardo Chibli spent about an hour with me reviewing my situation and concerns before bidding. Eduardo is great to work with. It is clear he knows retaining walls from 25 years of experience - he mentioned he does a wall like mine about every 2 weeks. He requested I get copies of my neighbors lot surveys which was good since I discovered my old wood retaining actually encroached 5" on to one neighbors lot. I had assumed, from other bids, the wall would be constructed from stacking dimensional concrete blocks. Eduardo explained it was actually less expensive in my case to have a custom sandstone wall constructed. Eduardo's bid was several thousand less than my bids for stacked blocks so it was great to get a custom looking well crafted sandstone wall for less money. Eduardo also mentioned I could save about $575 if I went with a crushed stone base instead of a concrete footing. I went with the concrete footing since his warranty would increase from 1 year to 5 years. To fix the lean in my fence (about 40' had a problem) the metal poles were pulled up, concrete broken off, and reset into pockets made in the sandstone wall. The 10 yr old cedar fence sections were then rehung - this was a concern to me since I thought I would have to get a new fence. He pulled it off so you really can not tell the fence had been taken down and now it is much stronger. I had no idea the amount of work involved in this project. The crew of about 8 people really know their craft - every one knew exactly what to do and worked pretty much non stop for 4 and a half days. There was 2 full dump trucks of stones delivered, yards of sand and gravel dropped off and a couple skids of bagged concrete and rebar delivered not to mention all the old stuff and dirt hauled away. With the amount of work done over 4.5 days and the absolutely beautiful custom wall I got, the $10,900 ( tax included ) is the best value I could have hoped for. My neighbors are delighted as well - after all this work there was no impact to their lots. Cleanup was great and my lot looks untouched. Eduardo and his crew are the best and I can not recommend them more highly.
Description of Work: Replaced 22 year old wood retaining wall with sandstone retaining wall. Straightened up 10 year old cedar fence on metal poles that were leaning due to the old retaining wall failing. New wall was built on steel reinforced concrete footing. French drain with pea gravel and fabric behind the wall was provided for drainage out PVC weep holes every 8 feet. Old wood and 13 yards of dirt shaved off for the new wall were hauled away. Wall is 65'X4' facing one neighbors yard and 76' X 2' to 3' facing a second neighbors yard.

the whole process from the initial bidding to the final inspection went smoothly and took alot less time than we anticipated. The crew arrived on time and the work was done in a professinal manner, The clean-up was outstanding! One would have thought the wall had been there for a year or more, We've already received compliments from our neighbors.

Chibli Stone works did an outstanding job, the wall is beautiful and really added value to our curb appeal. The whole process from bidding to final inspection went smoothly and took alot less time than we anticipated. Eduardo is very personable and professional and we would definately use him again if the need arises.

On the whole, it went fine. If someone looked at the work, they would say they did a fine job. Eduardo provided an estimate quickly. He was very professional and courteous. He appeared very knowledgable and I felt comfortable that he could do the job. I told him everything I wanted and he said he understood. I helped him do some searches to find the right brick. I gave him the information and he ordered the brick. As much as I trusted Eduardo, I did ask my general contractor to be there the first day of work as an extra set of eyes. He said that he had some concerns with the rebar that was being used. The city sent out an inspector and the rebar didn't pass. Eduardo had no choice but to do what the city requested. He made the changes necessary and then passed the second inspection. The finished product does look good, but no one would know how much I had to go through in order to get it completed. He also did not honor the discount for being an Angie's List member. He offered $200 off, but not the $300 that I should have received. I also asked him to provide advice on the type of cap to place on the pillars. He said he would show me the two options available, white stone or brick. When the time came to install the cap, he tried to cut corners and only suggested the brick because it was the most elegant. He did not show me both options and did not honor what he said he would do. He left the brick on the top of the pillar and it does not look quite right. Once finished, one of the pillars was not straight. It had to be torn down where it was not straight and rebuilt. He also told me, once the job was completed, that it would look even more elegant with additional cap that is similar to a pyramid added to the pillar. This is something he should have suggested at the beginning, but now I have to have completed by a different company. Also, when they started the work, they left the dirt they dug up on my driveway and left it there for a week. Because I live in a home owners association, I started to receive letters stating it needed to be removed or I would be fined. He should have never left it there and should have, at least, put plastic underneath it. I had to stay on top of him to get the right work done. Eduardo is very polite, laid back, and well mannered. But I don't think I would use him again. i fail to understand eduardo's response. how can i be difficult if i was hardly ever out while the project was being done? how can i be difficult or my contractor be difficult if the city of fort worth inspector did not pass the first inspection of the rebars etc.? how can i be difficult or my contractor be difficult if the 3rd. pillar was, "not straight". the level showed how far off it was. how can my contractor, 68 years old man who has never done any stone work, rebar work or build pillars, columns etc. do eduardo's work, "any better"? last, how can i be difficult when i was the one e-mailing eduardo to get his balance check or i would give it to his worker, even before: eduardo asked me for it? the 3rd. pillar was being fixed while i had his check already ready to go.
Description of Work: They built two small brick walls on one side of the house and installed pillars on both sides. Three pillars total.

Response from Chibli Stone Works
I have worked for a lot of people in the last 25 yrs. but the member and her "General Contractor" were very difficult. Having another person there on "top" of my men, made it for a very unconfortable situation. Always making comments of how he could do it "better" did not go over well with my men. As far as the price goes, she got a 4500.00 job for 3700.00. We had below freezing temperature and rain during her job and it took a little longer than normal to complete because of that. The people that know me and have used me know what kind of person I am. 99% of Angie's list customers that have used me, have been 100% satisfied. They know their going to get a good product for a reasonable price. We went over and above to try to please this customer, but sometimes you can't please everybody. Even if the member did want to use me again, I would have passed on her work.

Eduardo, the owner of Chibli Stone Works, came out to my house and met with me to look at my backyard and discuss what I wanted done. He then very promptly (less than 24 hours) gave me a quote via e-mail (my preferred method of communication) for multiple ways I could finish out my backyard. Once I finally decided on what I wanted to do, we scheduled the work. Eduardo was completely flexible to my schedule for all meetings, the date the work started, etc. He and his crew did an AMAZING job and my backyard looks great!

Eduardo, the owner, is very easy to work with. He will go to great lengths to ensure you get what you want at a fair price. I would not hesitate to recommend him or hire him again. I held of preparing this report to see if we would have any problems with the work they did. We had a couple of mortar joints break and they were very responsive in repairing them. When Eduardo tells you he will take care of any problems that may arise you can bank on it, something you don't find in a lot of companies.
Description of Work: They removed an existing retaining wall, built 110' of retaining wall along back of property, 152' of stone border around shrub/flower beds, 290 SF of patio stone around patio, 33' of french drain, and 140 SF of flag stone in front entry way plus some miscellaneous stone work we needed around the yard.

This is the second job Eduardo has done for us. They are very professional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him or hire him again. Eduardo inspected the work after they were finished and called them back for some touch-up; work I was willing to accept. My wife say's I'm too picky but Eduardo is more a perfectionist than I am.
Description of Work: Laid 300 SF of flagstone on our patio floor.
Our front courtyard patio that was installed by another vendor, and it was never correct. We wanted to have the patio enlarged slightly and a more permanent stone base installed. The previous vendor just set the stones in a sand mixture, making it hard to use furniture on the patio. After getting several bids, I chose Chibli Stone Works because of their reputation, and because of the quick response of Eduardo. He came out within a day of my online request for a bid, went over the project in detail with me, and gave me a bid immediately. They could have done the work within a week; however, we were going to be out of town for the following two weeks, so we scheduled for after our return. They showed up on time, and completed the majority of the project in one day. They were able to reuse most of our original flagstone, to save us some money. They did come back the following morning, to do a final cleaning of the stones. And Eduardo made it clear that if there were any future issues (drainage, etc), Chibli would come back and make things right. Fortunately, we have had no problems and do not expect to. The finished product is excellent. We are extremely pleased with the work, and Eduardo made it an easy, nice transaction. We would use them again for other projects without question.

Overall, the experience was wonderful. I was so happy with this company. They did a really good job. I received quotes from other companies; some of them were very expensive (they charged for every little thing), some wouldn't get back with me. I was trying to find a good company for a few months before I came across Chibi. He provided an estimate, which was very reasonable. He was very responsive and always called me back. The job took 8-9 days. The crew always arrived on time, were very pleasant, hardworking, did what they were supposed to do, & cleaned up well. I'm happy with their services and I would highly recommend them to others.
Description of Work: We had a lot of gravel in our backyard (about 1200 feet) that needed to be removed, which they did. They put flagstone where they removed the gravel. They built a firepit and outdoor BBQ grill. They put some stone borders around my flowerbeds, and made a path through a wooded area in my backyard with some steps & stones.

We have used Chibli for projects in the past, and as always, Eduardo was very responsive to my initial call. He estimated multiple jobs for us and we selected to do the porch and stairs, as well as remove the one stone bed. We had some issues w/ the bed being too high (we dumped in too much mulch) and needed to have it removed before the next big rain. Eduardo sent some of his men immediately to take care of that project despite the fact that he was booked for 10 days. They followed up about a week later to finish the bed and do the porch. Everything looks great. We've worked with Eduardo Chibli over the past 8 years or so and love his work and his work ethic!
Description of Work: Chibli replaced two brick front entry steps into home with stone, covered entire front porch with stone and removed a row of stone from a bed near the home. They also hauled off some random stone we had collected over the years.

We were worried that the stone work would not match/blend in with our existing patio. They did a wonderful job and it looks great. You have to really look and compare to notice a difference between the old and new. They built a new stone edging around our tree in front and it looks great. Very happy with how it turned out. I felt that the pricing was on the high side, but based on previous hard paving experience I wanted to hire someone that really new what they were doing and would do a great job. I'm very happy with the outcome and would hire them again. My only complaints are 1) when they were preparing for the edging around the tree, they were cutting out roots. This really concerned me because I did not want them cutting roots that would result in losing the tree. The worker listened and stopped. I wish that would have been explained to me ahead of time. 2) all of the roots and a lot of leftover cement was left and covered up in the bed that resulted from putting the edging in. There was a lot of stuff for us to clean up after they were done. For the money I spent I expected the clean up to be as top notch as the final product. I did email Mr. Chibli about these concerns and did not receive a reply.

Eduardo Chibli came out in October and geve me a reasonable estimate for the work that needed to be done. He called me December 6th and said they would be out on the 8th. The first crew arrived in the morning, and removed all of the existing coping. In the afternoon, the second crew arrived and replaced the coping with new stone. They then cleaned up and carried off all of the stone from the morning demolition. My Spa looks fantastic and no longer leaks. Absolutely Fantastic Job!

Eduardo came out and listened to our ideas. The next day he came out with several samples of stone and explained what we could do and how we could save costs in different ways. Once we gave him the go-ahead. He completed the job in two days and the porch looks great. It was better than anything we could have envisioned and we would recommend him to everyone that we know.
Description of Work: He turned our front porch into any home owners dream. Our front porch had previously been an afterthought. We described what we wanted and he presented us with a cost-effective way of producing our dream porch.
