Outside of weather, the job went well. Steve took care of business and repainted once the reconstruction was complete.  Lots of prep work was done prior to painting to insure the work done would last longer than the original construction.

I was told about the 90 years experience the family had painting.  I was bid 6900.00, with myself purchasing the primer 245.00 and paint and the tools just under 2000.00(they had been stolen) so they could start the job.  The paint showed up several days later at cost (I think) and it came on time.  The crew did not show up the first day, they had car problems. They did not call me to tell me, I had to call them.  The next day was Saturday and the crew did not show up until 11:30 the first day and left at 4:30pm that same day, he didn't call me to say they were running late, I had to call them.    He stated they would have a partial crew show up on Easter Sunday.  Nobody came or called, I had to call them.  That monday, I had an appointment at the doctor, but not to worry they did not come anyway, I finally got a call from a fiance that he wasn't coming.  I was in the doctors office mid-day when I received the call.  She was crying and I could not understand her.  Steven got on the phone and said he could go no place without his papers.  I didn't understand what and why?  Mid afternoon one of his painters asked if he could still come work.  I told him okay, I would pay him from the contractors remaining balance.  We are on day four of actual working, but the first day of a full day of work.  Steven has not contacted his workers.  He just quit, or abandoned the job.  I have had to hire additional painters now to come and do the work, as I have floor contractors coming in this week and I am now a week behind.  I would not hire Steven Bice or his son Steven Bice.
I have to replace a 50" LG Smart TV that was broken and hire additional painters to finish this job.  I checked Steven Bice out here and hired them, but feel that they acted professional to get the job, take my deposit and then they wouldn't come to work and actually work.  This job was an entire house interior painting contract that with tools and paint cost just at 10,000.00.  Now I have no idea what it will cost before I am through.

Steve and his son painted our living room, entry, and kitchen. The LR and breakfast area are all wood paneling.  They taped off everything covered the floor with plastic.  They were most helpful with the color selection and total work to completion.

He did a good job, he was fair and seemed honest and he was a nice guy. We got four estimates and he was the cheapest. He was good about calling me back every time I called him. It did take little bit longer than we thought.
