At first, everyone seems nice and very genuine. Their price is very fair and so my husband and I have decided to go with them and put a half down for the renovation of my daughter's bathroom upstairs. It was when the nightmare has started. To make the story short, my expensive wood floors were scratched pretty badly and the walls were dented everywhere. The new tub was too wide and they moved it twice up and down the stair. I'm a homemaker and I stay at home all the time and no one tells me anything when my finish their work they just left. I have to ask them what was going on and they lied about the tub has a bubbly stuff on the surface of the tub so they have to change a new tub. But why do they have to move the tub up and down the stairs twice. I noticed it after they have gone and I went upstairs and saw that they have to cut the sheet rocks and tile floors to make the tub fit. At the same, creating a few dust bombs along the way. They did not come and measure the tub, just assuming the tub to be default in sizes only the length of the tub is different. But my house is twenty years old. I don't think the default sizes apply to us. There's no communication, no coordination, no supervision. So frustrating that I'm the one who is alway contacting them and asking about the updates and progress of the renovation. The plumbers are the worst. After they have left, I found trash everywhere including water bottles. They treat my house for a construction site! And if there's a delay. Good luck in getting them back to work on your house because they have to be booked 10 days in advance. The wood repair guys to use my bathroom without asking and leave a mess after (urine on the toilet and floor)! They have also changed things without informing you. Dakota too has said to build us a sit at the end of the tub (because now they changed the tub to a shorter one). But turned out to be like a table as my daughter puts it. And he has refused to change it until my husband had convinced him to do so. The project according to them takes about 4-5 days to finish. However, it stretches to almost a month including the waiting of the repair guys to show up. We have a dateline and have made known to them earlier but when I called Jim to ask him why no one shows up to work and to remind him of the dateline. His reply was that you're not the one who's kid is about to go back to school in College Station. I mean maybe I am. How many 20 years old still lives at home with their parent! Lol ..... Also, they said they can cover my daughter's bathroom big window to a smaller one. But it turns out to be very ugly from the outside of the window and too that the window is built crooked. They can only do small renovation. They can't build a long niche my husband wanted. I can still go on but I think you get the picture. Regretted! We wanted another renovation for our master bathroom. But I don't think we would be using them.

Description of Work: Cut and installed granite cabinet tops
Description of Work: Faith Floors took care of everything involved with removing the old items and installing new carpet, tile flooring, granite countertops, tile backsplash, sinks, toilets, tubs with tile surounds, and many extra jobs including plumbing, electricity and rebuilding cabinets in a condo we purchased in College Station. They were professional, friendly, always courteous and very easy to work with and went above and beyond my expectations. Pricing was reasonable and fair. I got a bid from another company and Faith Floors was the best. We live out of town and had no trouble working with Faith Floors long distance. I absolutely recommend this company.

hardwood floor, remodeling

1) They repaired and replaced about 10 hardwood flooring pieces, installed new baseboard and moulding. The wood had been water damaged due to a plumbing leak. They took up the old flooring strips, matched new flooring strips and then installed new baseboard and moulding on adjacent walls, and transition hardwood strips between tiled kitchen and hardwood living room. Job was done well, on time and on budget. Person doing the repair went the extra mile to get same moulding style from their shop, when what we provided ran short due additional damage uncovered during repair. The job took about 5 - 6 hours. Cost of job was about $420. 2) Refinish and recoat of hardwood floors in living room, dining room, home office and entry ways to other rooms. Job was done very well, on time and on budget. We moved the furniture out of the rooms to be refinished, Faith floors will do this for a charge. We did it ourselves and saved a few bucks. Crew leader came by two days before the job to review and ensure we were all on the same page regarding work to be done and the finish coat to be applied (satin polyurethane). Our floors are a red oak laminate. Top part red oak bottom part laminate material. Crew arrived on time on the day stated. Crew meticulously removed all moulding by room, numbered each piece, grouped the moulding pieces by room and then had a worker outside sanding and refinishing pieces and applying the polyurethane. Once the moulding was removed they put up plastic sheeting from floor to ceiling to separate work area from living areas. They then began the initial sanding of the floors. Their sander has a vacuum attached to it that collects the sanding dust and was quite effective, ( A note: Dust in other parts of the house from this job was minimal considering the amount of flooring sanded.) After the initial sanding they applied a light coat of the finish. When this was dried they went back and did a second lighter sanding and once cleaned up, they applied the final coat of satin finished polyurethane. When that had dried, they reinstalled the moulding, now sanded, with the polyurethane finish applied, back to each room. The moulding went back on with no problems, no broken pieces, etc. The job was done professionally, the crew was expert about their task, were considerate, polite and very knowledgeable; keeping us posted on the progress they were making, next steps, etc. They were on the job within an hour of when they said they were to be there and worked the whole day often till 5 / 5:30. They cleaned up each day. At the end of the job they removed all plastic sheeting and cleaned up well. The job took about 5 days from start to finish (dried floor, with furniture on it). Cost of job was about $2100. The refinish job done by Faith Floors was EXCELLENT. The satin finish is a soft, non glare (shiny) surface that really brought out the wood grains. We are very happy, very satisfied with the work done and the way it was done. In fact, the crew was so excited about the job they were taking pictures of it as well !! The job ended on a Friday. The following Tuesday we got a call from the owner or manager at Faith Floors asking us about the job ~ were we satisfied? and any comments?. Nice follow up. As with any refinish, you must be prepared for some dust during the job and the lingering order of the finish put down. In this case the polyurethane was very pungent and lasted about a week afterwards. Even though it was very hot during this time, we did open windows and had fans blowing to reduce the odor. You can't get away from this, it is part of the job. I would suggest that if you have breathing problems or allergies, you should be aware of this before beginning the job and make other living arrangements, if necessary. We were able to live with it, knowing it would fade. We had solicited several bids on this work. Faith was not the cheapest but impressed us with their knowledge of our flooring, what could be done or not, and provided us some recommendations for refinish based on our type of wood flooring. For example, in looking at our type of flooring, they told us that after this refinish, the floors cannot be refinished again. The wood on the top part of the laminate would be very thin after this job and could not be sanded again. That said, they indicated that the finish could be and quot;freshenedand quot; by doing a very light abrade of the surface and then to putting down another coat of polyurethane. However, I really don't see the need for this for a very long time, polyurethane being very hard, durable and and quot;wearand quot; resistant. This is the second refinish of these floors in the last six years. We were burned big time on the first refinish, by another flooring firm here in College Station. They did really crappy work and did not complete the job as they said they would. Thus we were very cautious and thorough about who we picked for this job. Faith Floor staff gave us confidence they knew their business and demonstrated it in the work done. We made a very good choice in Faith Floors and highly recommend them.

Everything went as they said it would....first day preparation, second day granite installed, third day backsplash installed, etc. etc. All workers showed up at times specified - there was never a time span but a set time so I never had to wait. Everyone was very professional and knowledgable on any questions. I highly recommend this company and would definitely use them again.

How did it go...well the job was quoted as being completed in 8 days, it took 3 weeks. To give the "devil his due," the staff is very courteous and responsive whenever I would have to call them back to the house due to a problem. However, the quality of the work is not worth the money that they charge, it's not worth half the money they charged. When the job began, I told them my expectations, and Faith Floors accepted the work knowing that I expected the person installing the tile to be professional, well qualified and to take pride is his/her work. This was anything but the case. I already had replaced the shower door (not an inexpensive venture) and it was imperative that the new tile work be done to exact measurements so that the glass shower door would fit back into the opening. The pony wall was built too short and crooked, it is a 1/2" off from front to back. When I pointed this out, I was told by the person that built the pony wall he knew it would be off just didn't realize that it would be enough that I would notice. There were all sorts of problems with the person that actually installed the tile. He was nice enough and he tried to communicate with me although he spoke no English. I also found out that my shower was the second shower he had ever done. Tile was installed in places that were not supposed to have any. Cuts were not made correctly. I had to continually request that tile be relayed due to sloppy work. None of the tile are in straight, they are not flat and the floor in the shower was so bad that is had to be taken out and redone. No caulking was put between the tile and the deck of the tub. The grout was not sealed even though it states on the bag of grout that was left at my house that it has to be sealed. They do not take pride in their work and are the type of company that if they can "get buy" with sloppy work they will. Beware, the business folks promise one thing but don't have the staff with the technical ability to carry it off.
Description of Work: Old tile was to be removed from the shower and tub surround. The old shower pan was to be removed and a new one to be reinstalled.
