From Sales to Installation to Quality Assurance; we were advised of several options in replacing a very old system. The Installation crew (three members) arrived promptly at 8:00 am performed demolition work on the old system, and installed the new system to include a new copper line set, and were done by 3:30 pm. In our opinion record time. Everything was professional. Work ethic and attitude fabulous. New iComfort thermostat was explained by the Quality Assurance man who arrived as the installation crew was finishing. We couldn‘t be more pleased with the explanation and downloading of the app to our phones to allow remote monitoring and such features as setting of temperature while on the way home from a trip for instance.

We had an issue with a cooling coil in the interior wall that wasn't properly wrapped. Eventually it caused mildew. Barker's had a crew out immediately and located the problem. They had to tear our some sheetrock to repair the damage. The company had our sheetrock replaced and painted at no cost to us. We have had no other problem with our units.

Excellent -- superb and prompt service when systems failed. Cooperative assistance, good quality workmanship min installing. Thorough tech support in evaluating needs and several options offered and evaluated. Work completed in one day on time. Great follow up.

I got a coupon from Angie’s List. The workers were professional. Two people came out. The area was left clean.

Whenever I have work done, either routine or emergency, the service person arrives at the agreed time (always calling first), and completes the job efficiently and effectively.

I have used this company before, and though the technicians are always very polite and professional, they always come away telling me something major needs to be done. It is as if the technicians are instructed by their superiors to try to sell something. Invariably I don't do what they recommend and it never seems to be an issue, nor does it come up again at the next visit, even it's from a different A/C company. 10 years ago, they said I needed to replace my A/C unit which at that time was 12 years old. I called someone else for a second opinion and they fixed it for $30 and it is still running today!!! In a nutshell, I think they do good work, but they always try to sell you something else!

The customer advisor, Chuck Thompson, gave us a good deal as well as being personable and helpful throughout the whole process. They got us in quickly for the installation. The installers were on time and finished well ahead of how long I was told to expect. The person who came to inspect the installation was on time. It could not have gone better and I would unreservedly recommend them.

Tech showed up a little late, but not unreasonably so. Service took about an hour and was completed satisfactorily.

Technician's came to the house. Within a half hour told me the blower motor was bad but that they did not know what part this particular unit needed (even though we paid them almost $7000 to install it a few years ago) and that they couldn't do anything until Lennox opened at 8 AM the next day. The next morning I called around 8:30 AM and they said someone had been sent to Houston to pick up the part, but they had other customers and they could not install it until 7 pm, even though I originally had an appt to have it repaired the day before. Jeff said to me " it isn't fair to my customers who have appointments today to put your repair ahead of them." Hello, my appointment was yesterday AND I was charged YESTERDAY and I paid YESTERDAY. We should have known better, as we had issues with their service department from the very beginning when they installed this AC. The customer service rep who answers the phone was also very rude and repeatedly talked over me when I was expressing my opinion of how I was being treated. I suppose work that is warrantied comes behind new business. We have an appointment today at 1pm to have Siegert AC fix this warrantied air conditioner.

Barker charged me for the service call, it was a couple hundred dollars. They did not diagnosis what they should have.

We have been very happy with the new heating/cooling system. Barker's employees are reliable, knowledgeable, and punctual.

They originally put in the system. We found a problem and they came right out and fixed it with no charge.

They arrived on time at 730 to start working. The two guys mostly kept to themselves but worked extremely hard the whole day. The ended up leaving with everything finished at about 8pm that night. On top of that they only took a 30 minute lunch. All the work they did looked good as it went along. Towards the end of the day we noticed a hole in the ceiling close to the area they had been working in. We pointed it out to them and their supervisor came to look at it. The hole wasn't in an area they had been walking in the attic so it was unclear how it happened since their was evidence of water damage. I felt comfortable with their explanation of the problem and was appreciative that they agreed to take care of the problem at no cost to us.

They worked on it couple of time. At the same time I had a another technician look at it and he told me that they sabotage the fan motor. So I am not happy with their service.

Called Barker, they came out the same day and took a look. They found a wire that had heated up and melted into another wire, thus shutting down the refrigerant. The closeness of the wires is something that might have been caught in the check up but maybe not. Barkers put in two new wires, rerouted them so they would not touch. They did not charge me a service call of $75 but only for time and materials which came to $ 35.00. This was very fair and I appreciate Barker's response on this. This is the 3rd time I have used them and each time the experience has been very good. They are on time, polite, professional and very forthright about the problems and options. I will definitely use them again. Excellent Service!

It went great! They came out the same day. They were very professional and knew exactly what to do.

The workers arrived on time and although it took two days to complete everything, they stayed after hours the first day to ensure that the heat was working before they left so I was able to use it overnight. They were efficient and took care to keep my home clean during the process. I would definitely use them again!

Barker's really got us out of a bad place. We had decided to upgrade to a geothermal heat pump system several years ago and had expected our bills to go way down once it was working. Instead, the bills went way up! We tried working with the company who had overseen the installment for several years to get the system working together with our units inside the house to no avail and they finally just quit showing up. I decided to call Barker's and we were so glad we did! Pat Wren came out and took several hours to just learn what had been going on and give us ideas about what they could do to get our systems working and our bills cheaper. Yes, it cost us a bundle of money to get everything squared away and we had to replace a lot of the old equipment inside the house. And it probably should have been done when we got the geothermal system put in outside. But I am really, really glad we ended up with Barker doing it because now we have them for service and check-ups and they are the most professional and thorough HVAC company we have ever dealt with in this town. I would highly recommend them! We took them up on their offer of a service contract which saves money too.

The guy who answered the phone was so nice, and promised someone out very soon. I was ecstatic, because I called at 4:45 on a Friday afternoon!!! Well, the guy came - and I think his name was Aaron or Alex (sorry, I don't really remember)... anyway, he took the panel off the outside unit and said there was no electricity getting to the unit and that I would have to call an electrician because there was nothing he could do. Well, I ended up calling a friend to cry on her shoulder because I was afraid of what the expense was going to be. It turns out she had a friend in the biz, and called him up. He came over at 8:00 the next morning. He took the panel off, and agreed that indeed no electricity was getting to the unit... but that was only because the switch in the unit was bad - a switch that is INSIDE the unit itself, so clearly in an AC guy's realm. He had the switch in his truck, and within 45 minutes I was up and running again - for $125!!!! Alleluia!!!!! The guy said that unfortunately, many servicemen will say the problem is out of their hands on a late Friday call. I don't know if that was the case with the Barker's guy, or if he was just inexperienced. In either case, we suffered needlessly both from the heat and the anxiety of anticipating costly repairs and downtime. I wish I could give you the name of the man who fixed it, but he did it as a side job and I don't know if he would get in trouble with his boss for that. As far as the good things I can say about Barkers - the man who answered the phone was very nice, and the repairman was very pleasant. The price would have been great if they had fixed the unit. And the fact they came out on a late Friday afternoon was awesome. Unfortunately, they just didn't do me any good.

Barker's arrived when they said they would. They diagnosed the problem. Gave me an estimate. I called another AC place to see if estimate was comparable and it was cheaper than the other so I went with them. They had the part in stock and they replaced the next day.

Our unit 1983 vintage AC unit went out. We called them on a Monday morning and they came out a couple hours later. They discovered that the running capacitor was blown and the freon empty. They found the leak and filled with freon, $400, all was good. The technician said that we should consider a new unit vacates he could not guarantee that the fix would last. They sent out their "Comfort Specialist" and he looked everything over in the attic and out and had several suggestions. Three days later we had three quotes from $10k to $15k for good better and best. Which includes re working the ducts. We have yet to pull the trigger. However, just tonight our unit died. The compressor is toasted. So we need to get a few quotes and make a decision.

Steve was on time. He checked the system and found all was well. Pleasant and professional. Barker's sent another man over to evaluate the system for possibly needing additional ductwork. He said it wasn't needed. Their report was clear, concise and complete. I recommend this company. Looking forward to the spring check-up.
