Description of Work: Matching current texture in the home.

Description of Work: As part of a remodel job with Mariott, Allen Drywall striped, patched and textured the drywall in our kitchen and the bathrooms that had wall paper. Since it was part of a remodel, I am not sure what the costs were.

Description of Work: Terry Allen talks a good game. He was not here to supervise his workers, when I would come check things out, found things I, as the homeowner, should have never had to see and point out (mistakes, messups, places missed, etc...). The drywall was patchy in many areas and did not match (very obvious). Had them remove popcorn ceiling and retexture the ceilings....all along the edges in every single room, no texture at all. Blank spots. Along the showers in the bathrooms, there are huge gouges in the drywall, lumpy, bumpy spots. In the closets, the shelving systems have nails sticking out, were not sanded before being painted, so very rough wood. Hired them to install a pocket door, was charged for installation, however, all they did was put in the frame and trimmed it out with no door in it. Had to hire another handyman to rip out all the trim and install the door (and pay him). Painting was subpar, as well. Touched up everywhere with incorrect paint, so looked like the walls had measles. Behing doors in bedrooms were not painted along edges. He bought the wrong paint for the kitchen cabinets (3 gallons worth) and I had to pay for that and pay for the replacement (he bought water based, painted said he had to have oil based). So have 3 gallons of "extra" paint. Another handyman came in and asked us if he could redo all the messups for us, as it was not the quality it should be for a primary residence, only a rental property that would be torn up. So very disappointed.

Description of Work: I hired Mr. Allen to do sheet rock and ceiling repair in three different areas. I really liked Mr. Allen as a person, just not for working on my house. We had an upstairs plumbing leak that came down into another room downstairs and ruined the ceiling. To make sure he could do a good job, my husband and I moved all the furniture out of the room. They did not have to move anything. The work he did was covered under insurance and was supposed to be done well. Instead, he gave me a price, got it done and you could see where he patched the ceiling and he only painted the spot he fixed. Plus, he told me to buy the paint. He did one coat. I thought after it dried it would blend in, no when you walked into the room and looked up, you would say, "Hey, what happened to your ceiling?" At this point I realilzed he had fixed only the part that was ruined and did not blend it in until I called him on it. He told me he would come back and fix it because he did not want me to get mad. It took two more weeks for the entire job to get done that he told me would be two days. And, I finally painted the ceiling myself so I could move the furniture back in and get the house back to a kind of normal.

Description of Work: Patched holes in walls and replaced a caved in closet ceiling. Tape, bed and texture. Would have painted but I didn't have the right color paint for walls. Great job!

Description of Work: Hang drywall, tape & float ceiling of garage with access holes for plumbing valves. Repair 4 places in walls. Approx 800 sg ft.
