Description of Work: It was a Big Deal for $299 for a Handyman for the Day. Everything went according to plan. We had several things that needed to be done and it was a great deal for $300. The guys were friendly and professional and I would use them again.

Description of Work: They put in a built in ironing board and replace a utility sink and cabinet in the garage. Clearly from the start the owner/boss did not want to put in the ironing board even though I made it clear in communication with the boss that is what I was looking to do before I made payment. They were here early, but it took an hour and a half of hemming and hawing and him trying to convince me that I did not want the job done before work was started. I showed the boss the height where I wanted the ironing board to be. He failed to take into account the height of the hinge inside the cabinet, so the ironing board is now too high in the wall. He tried to blame me and called me a liar to my husband and would not come back to make it right. I would not contract with him and his company again. Basically, he wants to do painting. I wish he would have communicated that to me from the start. I am disappointed regarding this recommendation. Please take him off your site.

Description of Work: Seemed good at first...but I had to pay before he would even come out. |Didn't seem interested in doing any of the jobs I had on my prepared list. Even said he wasn't able to do several of them. Very frustrating. Took about 5 minutes to balance our front door (for which he did not charge me) and asked if I'd be happy with a full refund. Totally unprofessional. I was not impressed.

Description of Work: I purchased the 3 rooms for $299. 2 bedrooms, (1 kids & 1 guest) and masterbathroom. I have a large ensuite, so the 'toilet room' was an extra $50. The kids room has a sink area and door to closet, so it's a small separate 'room'. I had lots of paint left, so they were willing to paint an other 'sink area' for me for only $50. They worked hard, very professional. Could have used a second coat in some spots in master ensuite- but nothing I can't do in 20 mins. Great job overall- would recommend to everyone, and will definately use again!!

Description of Work: They did several small jobs. They reinstalled a bathroom light, changed light bulbs in closet, fixed a door lock, etc. the reason for the B overall rating is they patched some mortar around my pool and the color does not match. Will have to have it redone. The reason the rating is not lower is I bought the materials. When asked if it would match, he said yes. Not the case after it dried.

Description of Work: I purchased an big deal for 8 he's of handyman service. They first told me I was not in their service area. I had to challenge that ascertion before they finally admitted I was in their service area. Then they said they can not do my project.

Description of Work: Shaun and Jesse were fantastic. They went above and beyond to help me with the items on my list (take down/install chandeliers, fix fence, install tv mounts, replace dryer cord, install curtain rods) and even stepped in when my cable installer botched his job.

He said we started on the wrong foot (due to him never calling me as requested at 3 different times during the correspondence through Angie's list forum). So instead of doing anything at all he said one of the items on the list would take 2 men at 6 hours....not 2 men at 4 hours.....I PURCHASED A DAY with a handy man!! He had the list through the communication on Angies List, He knew what I wanted to be done. The reason I kept asking him to call me is to find out what I needed to do. I was hiring a handyman because I am not one. I do not know how to fix the rotten boards or the bottom of the door, or the other 15 things on the list. I was trying to figure out how the Big Deal worked, I knew from the ad that I was to provide material but I figured since I did not know what it takes to fix all these items he would figure out what he needed for the job and get it and we would reimburse him. BUT who knows because I could not get him to call me to go over the job. Then when he did get here, I showed him the areas and that is when he told me about it taking 2 guys to do the job (replacing the rotten boards) and it would take at least 6 hours and He never discussed doing the other items, never gave me an estimate as to what it would cost for him to do the job, nothing, JUST call the people at Angies list and tell them to give you a refund, tell them we could not come to terms. Funny thing is the reviews you read regarding these people is how they went beyond, staying until they finished, beyond the time that is paid for. That is not the case at all. So of course I still do not have the list of items done because I do not have the time to research someone to come do it....that is why I came to Angies list in the first place.
