It was a nightmare. If you don't read on then just run. We have a daughter with lung problems and needed a clean build. We ended up trapped in a hotel room for 4 months, with 4 kids in school and 1 on life support. Bobby said it would take 7-10 days with the addons. I foolishly paid half down, though he had previously stated he would collect everything once he was finished. He gave some reasoning about materials so I conceded. The day I signed was the last time I would see him until late June when I had to track him down an hour from where he supposedly worked and lived. He sent a crew in right away. They tore the house apart completely. There was drywall coating every inch of the floors, furniture, everything. They left and The mess stayed that way for months. I called, emailed, texted every day. I could not get him to answer any questions or call me back. Every day after work I went to the house. Sometimes I could tell that they came to pick up some tools, drop off a tool, but no work was done AT ALL. I work in education and at the time put in 12 hrs a day. Once in a blue moon he would Send a text or an email that made absolutely no sense at all. I would try to call or text back, but no response. I began to get desperate. Finally, after I cleaned up much of the destruction and hunting him down at his own beautiful custom home, I presented my case with photographs to his entire family. His wife came the next day and cleaned the house, he sent a crew and they slapped together the worst remodel I had ever seen. Uneven drywall, patched up instead of replacing, unfinished paint, half of the ceiling unscraped rest looking like a mountain range, missing trim, missing baseboards, some ugly quarter round slapped on top of other baseboards. It looked like brain damaged clowns danced around with hammers and paint rollers. The workers told me that they knew from experience that getting paid would be unlikely. I had little empathy left to extend. Then Bobby Irvin came to this house, sat in the middle of all of the ugliness and actually asked for more money. I told him to look around, and that I wanted all of my money back so that I could hire someone else. I filed with BBB and moved on with hiring someone else. Run from this guy. I am happy to provide the contract, photos before and after and anything else that anyone on Earth would like to review.
Description of Work: Hired to repair lumber, drywall and paint water damage and we paid for a few addons - scraping popcorn off the ceiling, replacing baseboards
