Frank came out and gave us an estimate. Very nice guy. They came out to do the job— wore gloves while inside my house. Did a great job- and took care of a small problem with no extra charge. We would definitely recommend them and will call in future should the need arise.

Had a hot water line leak in my slab at my house in Granbury . Spent half the day trying to get someone out to look at the problem and give me a quote to repair. Curly's was one of only two who would come out, and the other would not do the leak detection themselves , but gave me a number for a referral . Frank and Juan from Curly's made it out and confirmed the leak and gave me a quote to repair. The price was fair and I had them out the next day to perform the work . Another problem was found during the work and corrected for only a minimal charge. They were professional , courteous , and honest throughout the process. I would recommend them without hesitation.

The leaking water pipe on the road was successfully repaired. We have a Moen kitchen faucet that had a very slow drip. I decided to have them repair it before it became a major drip. Wow, what a mistake! It took him forever and when he finished he said everything was okay. After he left, I used the faucet and he had put the and quot;newand quot; cartridge in backwards (hot and cold were messed up). Also, the water pressure in the faucet was much less than before. He had also checked out our water heater and said it was and quot;a ticking time bomband quot; and quoted us a price on a new water heater, installed. Because of the faucet problem, I called them, again, and asked for a different person, who I had used before from this company, to come and fix the cold/hot problem and the pressure problem. He got the cartridge in correctly, but for some reason, (????) couldn't get the water pressure back to it's original flow. He didn't charge me for the faucet correction. He also looked at the water heater and expressed the same opinion as the previous plumber. I had asked both of them, after reading about leaking water heaters, if it could just be a leaking pipe or valve. They both agreed it was doomed. So, I started looking for a new water heater....In the meantime, my kitchen faucet water pressure just kept getting worse. I decided I was getting nowhere with the plumber as far as my kitchen faucet was concerned. I went to the Moen website and discovered and remembered they have a lifetime warranty on all their products!!!!! (By the way, Moen is awesome at customer service. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Moen product!) At least the kitchen faucets. The plumber had hated the Moen faucet. He suggested I get a Delta. Now I know why.....and they probably knew, also and still tried to repair it. I was pretty upset that I had forgotten about the lifetime warranty, and very upset with the plumbers. Moen sent me all the new guts of the faucet with all the instructions for installing the parts and my faucet was fixed, by me, in an hour. Because of the way the faucet ordeal went, I decided to look at the water heater myself. I fixed it, also. It had a leak in one of the pipes. No more leak. I called Curlys and asked to speak to the owner. I told him what had happened and asked him to, at the very least, return my money on the labor of the faucet and quot;repairand quot;. I called him several times to try and get some resolution. At this writing, I have had no response. I waited to write this complaint about the plumber to give him the opportunity to make it right. I don't like writing a negative report, but I also appreciate it when I can read about someone else's experience in order to make a good decision about a service. I thought, originally, I had found and quot;theand quot; plumber for us. However, we will be looking for a new plumber.......

We have had them do a lot of work for us in the past including connecting new water heaters, dishwashers, and any general plumbing need. They are very honest, nice people, and they have been great to us. Troy is very familiar with our property and is an expert in what he does. I would highly recommend Curly's Plumbing.

When Troy, the service guy, arrived I briefed him on my bathtub issue and showed him the way. He went back out for the tools he needed, came right back in and went to the bathroom. I had moved the shower curtains over, or thought I had moved them over far enough, when a loud clatter came from the bathroom and Troy's voice, and quot;Gadzooks!and quot; I asked him if he was okay and he said, and quot;Yes m'am, I'm fine but I think your shower curtain took too much of a liking to me.and quot; By then, I was at the bathroom door and there he was in the tub squatted down covered by my shower curtain and shower rod! He was laughing and by now, with relief, so was I. Needless to say, Troy fixed the problem with the dripping faucet, didn't charge me for the washers and my shower rod didn't kill him. It was a good day.
Description of Work: My bathtub hot/cold knobs decided they didn't like the washers they had comfortably been using for close to 10 years and started spitting them out of the faucet. So I called in Curly's Plumbing to stop the trickle of water. Troy, the service guy, came in and repaired the two handles/knobs.

I purchased a new hot water heater from Lowes. Its a new type with a heat pump to make it more energy efficient. I was going to install it myself but discovered that it wouldn't fit back into the space the old one had occupied. To make room for it the water softener had to be moved. To do that the water had to be shut off. I had to complete this job in one day since I had to leave town the next day. So I called Curly's because I had delt with them in the past and had been very pleased with the results. They said they could have someone there by early afternoon. The person I spoke with told me that they charged $115/hr plus any materials used. That all sounded fine to me. About 3 o'clock in the afternoon a Curly's truck shows up with two plumbers. One of them is the owners son. They worked about 3 1/2 hours to complete the job. When they were finished the owners son sat in his truck for about 10 to 15 minutes during which time I thought he was calculating the invoice. Instead he presented me with a bill for $1250.00. There was no mention of time or materials on the bill. I was floored. These guys had been so friendly that instead of confronting them about the bill I payed it. I called Curly's the next day to ask about the bill. I was told that the $115/hr only applied to "regular" plumbing or new consrtuction. They said that what I had done was not within the norm for a plumber. If working the water pipes and installing hot water heaters is not regular plumbing then I don't know what is. If that was the case why didn't they tell me before they started or give me an estimate. I think what happened is they pulled up, saw a big house in a nice neighborhood and charged what they thought they could get away with. I will admit that when I had an issue a few days later they came back out and addressed it but I still feel like they took advantage of me. I will never deal with them again or ever recommend them to anyone. When I delt with this company several years ago they were nothing like this. I don't what has changed since then but something sure has.
