We needed to get solar screens for the hot Texas summers coming up and discovered this company. They came out the same day, did the measuring and provided a free estimate. Within less than 2 weeks we were the proud owners of 12 solar screens. The workmanship and quality of the products was excellent. Now we are prepared for the Texas summers coming up. The screens enhance the look of our home and I consider them jewelry.

The provider came out, made some measurements and provided a free estimate on 05/06/13. We accepted the estimate and scheduled an installation on 05/17/13. The provider arrived on time and the product and installation went as agreed. We received three estimates from three different providers. We based our decision on price, warranty, professionalism and follow up. I would highly recommend Alamo Discount Solar Shade.

When I first called and spoke with Donna I told her I wanted metal corner connectors on my screens and not the cheap plastic ones and I wanted the thicker 1/2 inch frames. Donna told me they only used the metal corner connectors and they did carry the 1/2 inch thick frames (at no additional charge!). When Andrei and Lupe came to my house to give me an estimate for my windows they bought a sample of the metal corner connectors along with samples of the spline, all the different screen, frame and grid colors, and samples of the 90% and 80% filtered screens. I had previously contacted another company for an estimate for solar screens but when the "salesman" came out he did not know what type of corner connectors (metal or plastic) they used and did not know anything about a thicker 1/2 inch frame. Also, their screen frames did not cover the entire window frame (basically just covered the window's glass like the old existing window screens did) AND their estimate (without grids) was higher! Andre and Lupe were able to answer ALL my questions. I liked that they were the actual manufacturer of their screens (they do not ship your order out for someone else to fill). Unfortunately, I was unable to get the thicker 1/2 inch screen frames I wanted because my house's exterior bricks had been installed too close to my window frames and the concrete corners had not been properly squared off. But I am more than happy with Discount Solar Shades' regular frames which cover my entire window and are much sturdier than my old existing window screen frames were. I am more than happy ....I am delighted with my solar screens and I highly recommend Discount Solar Shades! I am a very satisfied customer!

Scheduled an appointment, visited our house on time & measured the windows and provided a quote. He was courteous, professional and honest. Approximately a week later the shades were complete and he followed up by installing the shades. The entire transaction was what I expected and I'm very satisfied with the work & service.

I emailed to the company. They contacted me the very next morning and came out the same day to estimate. Two weeks later called and came over, within one hour job was done.

Donna and Lupe were GREAT!!! What a pleasure to work with them. The shades look amazing and they even added extra cross bars after they arrived when we requested them. I met them at a home show and had my shades installed within 2-3 weeks. I highly recommend this company!! A+++++++

I never met anyone from the company. They went to my home, looked at windows and left me the estimate with samples. Returned 10 days later and installed the screens.

Called for free estimate. Andrei and Lupe (Donna via phone) showed on time. We received estimate for front window and eyebrow window 1st - then asked for additional measures - they measured, per our request and broke it down in sections and examples of material viewed - to our surprise (via phone Donna told us of 90 days same as cash, 3 equal payments) so we opted to do whole home.

Andrei and Lupe met me at home and discussed options. They were very knowledgeable and courteous. Gave me estimate and had them install them. Great company and already referred them to my daughter.

Andre and Lupe were on time, very responsive to our needs and performed the work in a outstanding manner. They were extremely professional.

The company installed solar shades on 9 of our east facing windows on our upper floor yesterday. Wow, what a difference! The morning the heat coming in from those windows has decreased dramatically. They look great and were ready a full week ahead of schedule. Lupe was aweome to work with. He showed up when he said he would, got the order processed and installed without ever receiving a dime from me. It's great to have a trusting company like this around. They even offer to split the bill into payments in you need to. It was a small job for us so no need, but a great thing to offer none-the-less. I highly recommend these guys and will be calling them back again in the future to get the windows on the other side of the house.
