Alamo City Scapes

This is the second time I've used Alamo cityscapes again it went nice and smooth very pleasant to work with this company… They did a 12/12 flag stone patio.. that came out great I was very impressed with the foundation and structure and did some cleanup to my beds, composting, mulch and some dead plants that froze over the winter!!

Called Eric on a Monday for repairs. He had recently installed new grass front and back. I was really expecting to be put on the schedule for the repairs but low and behold I come home Tuesday afternoon to the before mentioned damaged sprinklers repaired. I then proceeded to call Eric to get a price so that I could pay him for the work he had done, but he said it was free of charge. "I take care of my customers" is what he said to me and I really admire that. You don't find customer service like this anymore. I highly recommend Alamo city scapes to anyone. I will be using them again next spring for my backyard patio.

Now I have a beautiful front yard with grass sod that does well with live oak trees and patterned ivy ground cover. They also redesigned the front window area with plants to give it balance. Moved and adjusted sprinkler system. This all ties in with a beautiful flagstone walkway! Entire team worked hard and did professional work. Eric was great to work with and checked with team/site daily. I plan to use Alamo City Scapes in the near future for other sections of my yard.

Eric was great, he was always responsive and accommodating to changes. He continues to follow up and replace grass that is being killed by the extreme temperatures we are currently experiencing. I would highly recommend them to anyone for this type of project.

It went Amazing! From beginning to end. I called and left a message with Eric. I was not expecting a call back so quickly. He was able to come out to my property the next morning. Eric was extremely nice and courteous. He was VERY knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions. He was very patient with me. He didn't seem to rush the appointment like some other landscaping companies had. The day the project started Jose(project manager) was the nicest man. He was on time, answered more questions, and was easy to communicate with. They took up my old grass with the tiller, and did it the right way. Very clean company. Everyday before they left they would make sure to clean up very well. The attention to detail on their clean ups is what really stood out to me. Eric had showed me some flagstone work he had done at another home and I had to have it. The flagstone walkway was very beautiful and exceeded my expectations. We even added some deer resistant plants in my front yard that really made my front yard look amazing! I am extremely happy with Alamo city scapes and everyone who helped me through my project. I recommend this company with anyone starting a project big or small to give these guys your business. If there was an A+ rating on here I would give it to them!

Eric arrived ontime at my home. I showed him what I wanted done. I had a prompt estimate after lunch emailed to me. We scheduled a date when he was to begin the work. Eric and team arrived on the scheduled date. Throughout the day Eric emailed me pictures of their progress while I was at work. Wow now that was impressive! There were a couple of areas of dry sod that Eric said he would replace. Overall Alamo City Scapes did an excellent job!

Our front yard looks beautiful. Both Eric and Jose communicated with us throughout the process. Eric is skilled at design, and Jose implements the design. Both are highly professional. I really appreciated that they always did exactly what they promised and were punctual. I would highly recommend them, and we will use them again in the future when we landscape our backyard.

Very pleasant to work with the company. Eric, the owner was very professional and pleasant as was His project manager, Jose. They were very knowledgeable in the product as well as landscaping for my home. This is a great company. The work was beyond my expectation. They were always on time, and communicated what was going to be done everday.

eric arrived on time to give an estimate for landscaping my backyard. explained what i wanted and asked for his suggestions. he left and have never heard from him again. called and left a message but no return call. apparantly eric works does landscaping estimates for alamo city arbor care and emg landscapes. ???

Able to get prompt estimate, sodded back yard+sprinkler tune up. Now does monthly lawn maintenance.

My experience was great. I just had new sprinkler system installed by another company and wanted to put down new sod before it got too hot. I got a watering variance approved through SAWS which began on April 25th and I really needed to get the sod installed near that time so I could take full advantage of the 5 week time period which allows me to water daily to insure my sod would stay alive. I explained this to Eric the owner and he was able to accommodate my schedule even though I only first spoke with him a week prior. Of all of the landscapers I called, he was the only person who called me back, I know it's a busy time of year for landscapers so I really appreciated this. He arrived when he said he would and his two helpers got busy. They put down a layer of top soil first and then laid and rolled the sod which was a nice touch. You can really tell a difference with this process (I've had sod installed without soil and rolling in the past and it didn't look near as nice after initial installation). They also fixed a simple walkway of square blocks with grass in between each block. The job took about 2 days, with a couple hours to finish on a 3rd day. Also, I'd like to note that the crew had to go get more sod a couple of times due to a miscommunication between my husband and Eric on the total area we wanted covered. I'm assuming the amount of sod was underestimated by Eric, however he did not change the original estimated dollar amount and this was greatly appreciated! I highly recommend Eric and his team. Hire them, you won't be disappointed! P.S. If you're looking for hardscaping, Eric showed me a photo album of his work. It looked really good. Also, he does more than just sod and hardscaping. They do sprinklers, plantings, and tree trimming as well.

They were highly professional and efficient. The head of the company came out and reviewed the work that his team did. I couldn't have been more pleased with their work. I plan to have them do more work for me this summer.

Thanks to Angie's List we received 3 great designs for our backyard work. All summer long we had dirt covering the area next to our new addition. When we talked to Eric, we liked his ideas and he seemed to be on track with what we wanted for a design. So we hired EMG Landscaping to transform our back yard from a dirt pile to a yard where we can have family barbecues and fun gatherings. After he started marking where the concrete would go, we had a few changes of which he was very willing to accomodate and quite reasonable also. His concrete crew was very professional, polite and cleaned up after each day. Eric put in the retaining wall with stones matching the house color and it is lovely. The 50 foot french drain is covered with large rocks so they will not wash away in a big rain storm. Eric and his landscaping crew were also very professional as they put rocks around our trees and laid a pallet of grass where needed. Everything went smoothly and all our questions and suggestions were listened to and answered. This company has a great future and we will certainly use them again. In fact we are thinking of having them put in a water feature next year. We enjoy walking out in the yard and admiring all the superb work done by EMG Landscapes.

Eric was recommended to me by another landscape company whom I've used in the past. This company was backloged and knew that I needed help now. He knows Eric and he knows of his professionalism and work ethics. Eric phoned me and came to my home that afternoon. He squeezed me in between his clients to see what my emergency was and how he could be of help to me. My lawn and two trees were dying due to the hot weather and mandatory water restrictions in my area. Eric was able to help me with my lawn by transfering two sprinkler heads away from my landscape rocks and onto my lawn which was approximately four feet for better watering access to the lawn. He then raised seven sprinkler heads so that they would cover the lawn with better accuracy and consistency. As to my two trees, well they died. I told Eric that if my trees were to be replaced I needed gator bags for them or no go on the trees. He removed the dead trees and hauled them off for me. He then replaced the two trees with gator bags plus he planted another tree for me and, yes, with a gator bag. He cleaned up around the trees and mulched them, and braced with stakes. My red oak trees look beautiful and I am very pleased with Eric. I will use his company again when its time to prune my other oak trees and for my lawn irrigation system maintanence.
