Everything went extremely well. I live in Albuquerque while my aging parents live in Waco. I depended on Angie's List to provide top-quality candidate roofing contractors. All of my contact with Michael S. and Heath T. was by phone and email long distance. Communications with them were excellent (effective and efficient), considering that distance and the need to keep my parents as informed as I was. Inspection and estimating visits were respectfully coordinated with my parents. The quote/contract was very detailed and easy to understand so that clarifying and negotiating certain points was just as easy. Best of all, the price was very competitive among the 6 contractor quotes I had collected. These folks are very customer conscious and respectful of unique needs. I couldn't be happier with my choice, the process, and the results.

Talbert Construction was very patient after with us receiving their free estimate. It took me several weeks of waiting on my insurance and mortgage companies to insure all the proper paperwork and funds were released to begin construction. After finally getting all the proper estimates, paperwork and signature on the checks from both the insurance and mortgage companies did we schedule a date to begin work. Since I also had Solar panels on my roof I had to have Solar Centex of Harker Heights to remove my panels before the shingles could be removed. The construction crew covered up my bushes and plants before removing the old shingles and continued to keep the work site tidy throughout the day. I wanted the Class IV impact resistant shingle due to the amount of hail and storms we have here in central Texas despite the extra cost and the fact that my insurance company gives me a reduction on my home policy. Also, The fact that Talbert is certified in installing the CertainTeed brand was one of the reasons I went with their company. The workers installed the new shingles quickly and professionally and the roof was completed within one day. The next day the workers returned to install my gutters. Everything was done professionally and communication between Mr Ryan Talbert and myself was quick and all my concerns and questions were addressed. I am extremely pleased with the roof and gutters installed and will definitely recommend his company to others. I think people sometime look for the cheapest roofing company they can get, but even if Talbert's is a little higher priced than some others sometimes; I do not think you will be disappointed with selecting Talbert's Construction. His reputation and level of workmanship speaks for itself, and you don't have to worry about some fly by night roofers from out of state ripping you off. Talbert's is not one of those type of roofers. You can trust him and his company to give you a beautiful roof you can be proud.

A bit delayed but done when I needed it done.

Offered an economical solution to fix the leak, then accomplished the work quickly and professionally.

Replaced three layers of shingles, one cedar shakes and two regular shingles that were on a house almost 100 years old. Several other companies had done patch jobs and the flat part of the roof still leaked. Talbert fixed it and after the last rain it did not leak.

My elderly mother needed some minor repairs on her roof. Ryan Pryor met me at her house the same day I called. He then volunteered to do the repair free of charge! He came back the following week and took care of everything. He is the best!

Our chimney was leaking and they came out and fixed, it still leaked and they came back out and worked on it until it stopped leaking.

I called for help with my roof. I had been told many times I needed a new roof and my insurance said that it wasn't covered because there wasn't any excessive storm damage. The roof is only 8yrs old. I called in all out frustration needing this leak fixed because I was now getting excessive interior damange on my house and I couldn't pay for a new roof. Instead of doing like other companies and saying it was a new roof or nothing basically. Heath and his crew came out fixed a very difficult valley and a cooling vent. This was great because like anyone in this Texas heat being able to turn your A/C up a couple degrees makes a world of difference. Heath showed me pictures of the work they did continuously kept me updated of the process . Heath even went over and beyond the signed contract and did a few minor repairs with the extra material they had a cut a couple limbs that may potentially cause some damage. When I need something fixed on my house honesty goes a long way with me. I will definatly be calling this company back for any future needs that they can handle. I can not thank ya'll enough.

This has been the BEST experience I have ever had with any contractor! Talbert Construction ROCKS! Our home was built a long time ago with a luxurious cedar shingle roof. Naturally, newer materials came along and in the 80s the cedar shingles were covered with modern asphalt shingles. When the asphalt shingles were damaged by hail recently the entire roof needed replacement since it is not safe to add additional shingles on top of the existing multiple layers of cedar and asphalt. The challenge is that the original cedar shingle design did not use roof decking. Instead the shingles were nailed to small strips of wood. That means when doing a total replacement like this job... it's a BIG job! A REALLY BIG job! Add to this the fact that there were several out-buildings and a large flat-roof porch. JT Talbert and his right-hand man, Jared Railsback, were the most professional, responsive and service-oriented guys I've ever dealt with. From the very first meeting when JT laid out all the options, through the final walk-through with Jared after the job was complete, these guys understand their business and know how to guide their customers through the job details and insurance paperwork. Their materials are top-notch and their work crew is polite, hard-working and very efficient. I have high expectations each time I pay for services. Talbert Construction will have my business for as long as they are in business.

The results are spectacular and the whole process was enjoyable from start to finish which reflects well on Talbert Construction. Everyone I encountered was courteous, respectful and excellent in their work. The painting crew used a sprayer and large shield for body of the work and went back with a paint brush to clean up the edges. The result is a beautiful finish that will last for years to come.

On their first visit the service man found questionable installation of flashing around my chimney but was not certain that was the source of my leak. Three men came back to my home with equipment to detect the source of the leak and one of them noticed a problem with cracked caulking around roof vents. They repaired all the caulking very quickly. Then they entered the attic to inspect for other leaks. After completing the work they did not accept payment. They only asked that I call them when I need a new roof. With service like that, you can be sure I will call them again.

Wonderful experience. Mainly worked with Mr. Ryan Pryor who is a true professional. He answered all of our questions and took care of all our concerns. Very dependable.

Talbert Construction performed a repair on the roof of my home after a tree had fallen on the roof creating a small hole. They were very prompt, extremely courteous, and very helpful in advising me on the current condition of the roof.

They were prompt and responsive. We chose to go with a different vendor however their price was very competitive and he didnt try to push his services on us in any way.

I was deployed overseas at the time of the damage and used Angie's List to help me find a company to replace both of my roofs. Talbert Construction came highly recommended and after all the work was completed, I am very happy that I did. They were easy to communicate with, worked well with U.S.A.A insurance and most importantly did a great job. I wish more businesses were like Talbert Construction.

I am very pleased with the service of Talbert Construction. I specifically waited until the roofers who are not well established businesses had left the area chasing other storm damage. I selected Talbert based upon the reviews on Angie's list and my interaction with their representative (Ryan). It was very low pressure and informative learning more about the roofing materials and the process could not have been more pleasant. Even after the initial estimate, it was several weeks before I called them back to ask additional questions and Ryan came back by. Upon satisfactory answers, I signed a contract and set up an appointment. The crew they sent was professional and careful with my property. They did a great job with attention to detail that the last roofing company did not. They had enough manpower were done in one day, but did not rush.

It went great. I actually interviewed a couple of different roofers based upon Angie's List reviews and selected the one that seemed to be the best fit. I'm happy with my choice.

Talbert Construction, is a very professional Roofing Company. My insurance company?s damage estimate was $40,000. The Talbert representative came out talked with us and conducted their own assessment. The Talbert representative was not convinced the insurance company covered all the extensive damage. He found additional repairs that weren?t originally assessed. The insurance company reinspected the damage, and the Talbert owner came out for this reinspection. The insurance company agreed to an additional $30,000 in costs that Talbot identified. The roof and the inside water damage repairs were done professionally and on time. This is an A+ company. It was especially assuring to have the owner came out for the second inspection of the roof by the insurance agent to ensure everything was identified and relooked. I am extremely pleased with the service received from Talbert Construction. Heath Talbert came out the same day I called to access the damage to my roof and personally patched it up as a temporary fix knowing that heavy rain was expected that evening. He explained that he would send someone back in a few days to do the repair work. Even with the terrible storm we had later that evening and all the other jobs he had to contend with due to the storm, he had Lupe at my home in a few days and had the repairs done. Very courteous and professional. I would recommend Talbert Construction to everyone. Great company, great service and great people!

Ryan was Wonderful. If I could give Talbert Constuction an A+ I would. He came down from China Spring at least 30 miles discovered all that needed done was some caulking and did not charge me a cent. I am looking to do some home maintenance and repair - Talbet Construction is the #1 company I hope to have do the work

They found no hail damage, but did find a a loose shingle and replaced it for me. They did the roof inspection and replaced the shingle free of charge!

My grades above for the contractor's responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism apply after the point at which problems with the initial field superintendent were corrected, as set forth below, and should be read in that light. I selected Talbert Construction based on their excellent reviews on Angie's List and their apparent ability to do everything I needed done. I initially called them on May 16, 2014, and outlined my problem to Amanda Talbert. She advised that I would be contacted further, and early the next week I received a telephone call from a field superintendent, who was an employee of the company and not one of the three owners (Heath Talbert , his brother James Talbert and Billy Garrison). We agreed to meet on May 24, 2014, at which time the field superintendent inspected the damage and took measurements. He returned on May 28, 2014 with a written estimate, at which time I signed a contract and paid approximately half down to cover materials. At this point communication with the field superintendent became difficult. Calls were not returned, voice mails were not answered, and on at least two occasions I encountered voice mail greetings by the field superintendent stating that his cell phone was malfunctioning and would not receive voice mails, but that callers were welcome to text him. On the occasions on which I actually spoke to the field superintendent he would not commit to a time during which the work would be done. Not wanting to jeopardize the field superintendent's job, I waited until July 21, 2014 to complain, at which time I placed an early morning call to the company. I reached an answering service and explained that I was a customer of the company, concerned with the service I was receiving. Within an hour I received a call from Billy Garrison, who was apparently in his vehicle and on his way to work. He sounded concerned, and indicated that the owners were at that time first becoming aware of apparent problems with the field superintendent. He advised me that from that point on I would be dealing with Heath Talbert. At approximately 9:00 a.m. on the following morning, Heath Talbert appeared on my doorstep. My home is over an hour from his home in China Spring, and he must have therefore left very early. Heath Talbert is in his early to mid 40's and I found him to be personable, experienced, knowledgeable and responsive in the extreme to my needs. At this initial meeting, he advised me that the Talbert owners were at that time learning that the field superintendent was not properly servicing a number of his customers, and that the owners themselves were having difficulty reaching him. Heath Talbert was extremely concerned with what had happened in my case, and offered to immediately refund my down payment, or to personally shepherd the work to an expeditious and high quality conclusion. I elected to stay with the company, which proved to be an excellent decision. From that moment on I was quite pleased with the service I received. Heath Talbert remeasured everything and corrected mistakes by the field superintendent. Materials were promptly ordered or obtained locally and the work was scheduled as promptly as it could have been. Throughout I was kept abreast of everything. I didn't need to place calls to Heath Talbert because he usually called me first. When I did call him, he always answered immediately. During the time the work was performed, he was usually on the premises supervising, and answering any questions I had. He also went over and above the work we had agreed upon to do several small jobs which I requested. I was not charged for most of these. Thus far I am pleased with the work which was done. We are in a severe drought, and the opportunity to detect roof leaks has not yet presented itself. If there are problems, I am confident that Talbert Construction will correct them. The owners of Talbert Construction seem extremely concerned with maintaining their excellent reputation. What happened regarding the field superintendent initially assigned to my project could happen to any business owner. Employees do occasionally go off the rails. The issue is how the owners deal with the problem. In my case, they did everything right. I would use this company again.
