TRS Build

I used TRS Build for to remodel my home in Cedar Park and I’m very pleased with how it all turned out. Annemarie and the whole team were always courteous and professional. The kitchen and bathrooms turned out looking really nice. And I really like their recommendations to transform my fireplace. I get lots of complements on it. My home finally feels like a home thanks to TRS Build. A+ service.

When we first set out to build our addition, we had a general sense of what we wanted, but we didn't know how to get there, how long it would take, or what it would cost. After several interviews with companies around Austin, it was ultimately the sense of genuine honesty and caring from Annemarie that made TRS Build the obvious choice. TRS Build guided us through the entire process, from design to construction, taking care to work around our busy lives (we had a baby and broke ground at nearly the same time!). During the design phase, TRS Build provided several options based on our general ideas and some photos of rooms/styles we liked. We also had several iterations of material selection based on choices presented by the team which helped us not be overwhelmed with the immense variety that exists. After design, came the long wait for permits, which honestly was the toughest part of the entire experience. TRS Build handled all of this for us, and communicated often to ensure we knew the status and what to expect next. Ultimately this step was entirely up to the city and out of our hands. Once permits were granted we moved to the exciting and chaotic construction stage. At this point we had a newborn and spent a few months sleeping in our living room or at our in-laws'. TRS Build was completely understanding of our situation and though there were many new faces and noises throughout the day, we never felt like our lives were too disrupted by the construction. One thing I'd like to add is that, while sometimes communication was a bit delayed, all of my questions and requests were ultimately addressed to my satisfaction. In the end, it's difficult to convey just how happy we are with the job done by TRS Build. Our family was quickly outgrowing the space, and the addition designed and built by TRS Build has given us some much needed breathing room. We now have a beautiful master bedroom and a sanctuary of a master bathroom that includes a walk in shower & tub area which our entire family (kids included) absolutely love. In fact, we look forward to family bath time because the wet room makes it so easy! We're a few months post-construction now and I can still confidently say without a doubt that we are so happy we chose TRS Build for our project and will happily choose them again for future projects. We hired The Right Stage- TRS Build to do an 800 SF addition connecting onto our existing home. Basically building an entire small house from the ground up! They created a beautiful and functional handicapped accessible space/ home for my 81 year old mother. A change in life circumstances necessitated her either moving to an assisted/independent living facility (which during Covid wasn’t really an option) or build on to our home and create her own “apartment.” Due to our families situation, this was a very emotional and stressful time for us. Shaniko and Annemarie were very understanding, respectful and became almost like family to us as they helped us navigate through every phase of this build. We had an unusual site location and footprint we were working with in regards to where we wanted this addition to be built. AnneMarie worked patiently and diligently with me (and my mom) on the design, floor plan and layout, and the many tweaks we requested to get it just right, all while keeping within our desired budget. Every step of the way they kept in constant communication with me, and I knew what to expect each week. I know it was a big undertaking and was truly amazing to see it all come together. This review is long overdue, but I cannot imagine working with any other team. More than 5 Stars is deserved!!!

We hired TRS to do an addition and partial kitchen remodel. It’s been almost 7 months since we moved back into our home on December 14th 2021. TRS did not pass the final inspection until 3/14/22. After the final inspection, we asked TRS to come over and do a final walkthrough so we could discuss the issues we had found with their work. TRS advised us at that time that they had already done a final walkthrough (without us) in December of 2021 and they demanded final payment. They stated they would not come over to look at the problems until after we paid them the remaining balance (appx $7K or 5% of 135K). Changes were made to our home, in order to pass code, until March of 2022. We asked multiple times for Shaniko and Anne Marie to come over and they refused. We found it difficult to understand how they felt proud of their work when they did their “final walk through.” We have incorrect siding on our home which is a pretty huge oversight. This is just one of the many major oversights. Was it an oversight that caused our entire tile floor to be installed incorrectly? We hired a tile inspector ($750) to prove that the tile floor was installed incorrectly. The tile inspector’s report shows that every step of the tile floor installation was done incorrectly. The kitchen backsplash is also a mess. Messy grout lines, tiles smeared with grout, a large gap between the tile and the wall. It looks very unprofessional. We were told that the lower cabinets in our kitchen would be potentially damaged when the old countertop was removed and the area would need a change order to repair. No mention was ever made of the damage, instead TRS put the new countertop on without making any repairs. We have holes and unevenness all along the underside of the countertop. One of these holes face our dining area and can be seen easily when standing in certain parts of our home. Yet, somehow this passed the TRS “final walk through” that was done without us. These are just a few of the obvious things. Some other areas that were terrible were: -You can see drywall taping and floating on several walls. -The back deck slopes even though the foundation is brand new and we used Trex Composite Decking. -The door to the garage looks like a hotel room or office building exit because the TRS used a cheap fix in hopes of passing code. Shaniko said they would fix the door after passing inspection but that hasn’t happened. -The lights flicker and the breakers often flip-even though all the electrical is brand new. -The windows have adhesive/silicone that is not removable in several spots. These are 5’ x 7’ windows which should look beautiful looking out into our backyard. Instead they are smeared. -A piece of broken siding was used to close the crawl space under our home instead of a metal grate. - Security camera/light that was installed is unusable because TRS installed without allowing us time to set up the security camera portion of the light and did not respond to our requests to come over and take the light down so that we could set up the security camera option. -TRS foundation crew did not follow the structural engineer report and we had to pay $3000 extra for additional structural engineering so that they could fix what the TRS did. -Multiple incorrect billing invoices. All were overcharges. -Our home was left unlocked three times during the project. On two of these occasions the doors were left completely open. -Our new island cabinets are 2” shorter than the original cabinets that back up to it. The original cabinets are 2” from the floor but TRS “custom made cabinets” are 4” from the floor. Communication was difficult with TRS. Many questions/concerns went unanswered and were never addressed or only partially addressed. There was an obvious lack of organization and leadership. We suffered through many delays due to lack of organization/project management. It does not appear that the work was done professionally or that there was pride in the work performed.

I highly recommend the entire team at The Right Stage Building and Remodeling. All of the team are talented professionals and reflect the values of the leaders of the organization, Shaniko and Anne Marie. They were on point from the first day to the last ensuring that our entire job was well done and completed to our satisfaction. Shaniko and AnneMarie expect the best from their team and have built a talented team of artisans who meet the challenges in dealing with questions, concerns and changes. We could not be more pleased with the end result and will certainly call on them.

Anne Marie, Shaniko and The Right State remodeling team helped us update our 1980s ranch home to an open plan living area, including kitchen, dining room and living room. They were very good at listening to what we wanted to accomplish, and making sure our vision came to reality. They were patient as we scoped our plan. They started quickly and continued communication throughout the project. They were professional, capable, and did a beautiful job. Every employee and contractor that entered our home was professional and kind. I would definitely use them again in the future..

It was the most honest, open, professional, and punctual contractor team I have ever worked with! They were transparent about the budget and change orders, the change orders were reflected on new invoices every time something was added or changed. Their design expertise and recommendations were on point, classic, and on budget. Shaniko and Bernardo consistently stopped by the house everyday that people were working to make sure we were happy and they subs were doing quality work. The subcontractors came when they said they would, they were on time, worked hard, and cleaned up as they went everyday. The entire team, Shaniko, Annemarie, Bernardo, Jenny, Sergio, the list goes on and on were all friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to do things the right way. The Right Stage are honestly the best contractors you can have working on your home. Good honest people. Phenomenal workmanship. The communication and customer service is unparalleled. Highly recommended. We will definitely use them again for whatever our next major project is.

We hired The Right Stage for our much needed kitchen remodel. We are quite happy with the final outcome and were very pleased with the overall process. It took us a while to find people we could trust with our kitchen makeover and we’re so glad we found Shaniko and Annemarie. Shaniko has outstanding project management skills and Annemarie is extremely detail oriented and provides exceptional ongoing communication from start to finish. Our project occurred during times of 2020 turmoil, and they were somehow able to keep things moving forward — on track, on schedule, and within budget! We are quite happy with the quality — their construction team are a bunch of pros. Our floors, cabinets, countertops and backsplash are such an improvement and we’re really loving our new kitchen! We hired The Right Stage to renovate our outdoor patio. We had been searching for years and when we met Shaniko and Annemarie, we knew we were finally going to make our dream a reality. They first came to our home to survey the space and then they LISTENED to what we were envisioning. They didn't try to sell us on anything. They just listened and that was really big for us. They were prompt with a quote and adjusted it as we figured out more of what we wanted. We had a two man team on our property most of the time doing the demo, concrete, and build. THEY WERE FANTASTIC!!! We watched them everyday and they are some of the hardest working people I've ever seen. Shaniko came by EVERYDAY to inspect the work. Let me say that again...The owner of this business came onsite to check out the work himself everyday. At the end, we are thrilled with our patio. We knew exactly what was happening and when it was happening throughout the project. We plan on hiring them again for our next project and you should too!!!

Shaniko and his team did such a wonderful job on our kitchen. We have beautiful quartz countertops, new wood laminate flooring, gorgeous backsplash, and new lighting. And thanks to Shaniko's vision our kitchen now opens beautifully to the family room. Better than we even imagined. Thanks to the entire TRS team!

It went GREAT! The Right Stage and Shaniko prepared one of my listings (which was in disrepair). The Right Stage re-did some of the lighting to update the look, added granite countertops in the kitchen, re-did the screened-in patio, etc. The property looked wonderful when they were done and it sold the very first weekend it was on the market! My sellers were very pleased!

It was very good and excellent. They were extremely responsive. We were able to come to a new choice and secure the material in the same day. I will use them again and I recommend them.

Excellent!! Completed in a timely matter. Their worker arrive on time. And when the finish up they clean everyday.
