Shades of Texas Window Tinting provides window film installation services on automobiles, homes, and businesses. We have been in the window film industry since 1989 and are a 3M Authorized Prestige Dealer in the Austin area. We are proud to provide our customers with 3M films due to their high quality standards, reputation, and proven leadership in the industry. Shades of Texas Window Tinting will also provide any customized solution to accomplish energy savings for any budget. Our installers are thoroughly trained in-home and by 3M. We provide clean, professional, custom installations and carry a wide variety of film products to fulfill all customer needs and preferences. Our products will improve comfort and save energy while reducing heat and fading. Additionally, we provide safety and security films and decorative films for homes and businesses. We are honest, trustworthy and take great pride in serving our customers from start to finish. All automobile and residential installations are covered with lifetime warranties, labor and material. Description of Work: They installed tints on various windows throughout the home. They were quick, professional and were able to do an extra window on the spot. However, after a couple of months, some of the window tints started to bubble. They honored the warranty and replaced the tint on 4 of the windows.

Description of Work: While installing window tint film on 8 windows, the technician discovered that one of the panes was loose and needed to be repaired before it was safe to apply the film. He notified me, left the film he had already cut in my care, and left. I called him after the repair had been made and he promptly returned and finished the job. I was very pleased with the effectiveness of the tint and with the professionalism and courtesy of all staff I came in contact with.

Description of Work: Shades of Texas installed solar film on some large windows we had which were letting in too much light and heat. I went to their offices to get samples and discuss the requirements. After the go ahead, they ordered the film for the job. The installer arrived promptly, had all the right equipment, did the job in a very professional manner, explained the process and what to expect. There is a warranty from 3M for the product. We have noticed a definite difference in the heat, and the film works just as we were hoping. Would definitely recommend these folks.

They did an excellent job!
Description of Work: Had several west and south window panes replaced and needed an exact match to the existing window tint. They were able to provide an exact match. I also had several more west facing windows tinted.

Description of Work: They are experts at window tinting and we were completely satisfied with scheduling and speed of application. However we would not advise ordering window shades from them. Definitely they should drop the shade service based on our experience. From day of ordering to final installation -- six months due to wrong measurements, incorrect cuts at factory, string pulls on wrong side, you name it.
