In dealing with the customer service contact center, we now need to have the mattress replaced once again. It has started budging on the sides and the springs aren't holding. We've sent pictures however they've advised that its not covered because the reason the sides have budged is because I've been sitting on the sides of the bed. I only sleep in my bed and I even have a chair in my room. Serta said its up to the store to replace warranty defects and Sears Warranty Department will not replace it.
Description of Work: Purchased a Serta Mattress in 2008 that was replaced under warranty in 2011.

It went fine. There were no problems. They were polite and professional. They delivered both appliances to me on time as promised. They also installed them properly and I haven't had any issues with them.

Description of Work: We bought a dishwasher for just over $1,000 from Sears at Lakeline Mall. It was to be delivered on May 31st which didn't happen. Then it was rescheduled for June 4th which didn't happen because of a truck breakdown, then it was rescheduled for June 5th but no one showed up. Then it was to be delivered June 10th but the delivery person did not have the dishwasher on his truck. We gave up and asked them to refund our money. They said it would be refunded in a few days. Six days later, our money has yet to be refunded.

Description of Work: I bought a Washer Dryer and Fridge. The delivery guys were great. On time , helped me move my other fridge and wine cooler. They were very carefull of hardwood floors and walls. They were fast and friendly. Couldn't ask for better.

The delivery date was three weeks after purchase. I selected a morning time slot and worked my work schedule around it. The day before Sears called with a afternoon delivery time. The only option was to cancel the delivery and call the national call service, no option to just change to an earlier delivery time. This was very frustrating. The delivery guys that came two days later did great on getting it installed. I have no complaints with them. I don't understand why Lowe's and Home Depot can delivery next day in the desired time slot but Sears takes three weeks and can't honor the customer's request for a morning delivery. I had to keep reminding myself that I got a great price but I'm not sure it was worth it.
Description of Work: I purchased a new refrigerator and stove. The problem came with the scheduling of delivery.

I had hassles dealing with both the companies. Sears were not ready to come out unless Whirlpool had mailed me the parts. I was not even aware which parts were not working. This matter went back and forth. Then they put me in contact with a plumber who was third party. One plumber came and told me that it’s obvious that Whirlpool had to give a gas value. So I called Whirlpool and asked for a gas value. This took about a week. Then a company named All Pro plumbing did the work.
Description of Work: My water heater failed and it was just 18 months old. I called Whirlpool and they gave me the number of Sears Roebuck.

Sears was the only company to try and find a water heater that would fit in the space in the attic. Apparently, our old water heater was a size no longer made. They re-worked the pipes and did extra welding to fit the drain pan. It was a lot of work in a hot environment, and they did a good job.
Description of Work: They replaced our water heater in our attic, including some re-work on the pipes and the drain pan.
