The Roof Doctor is amazing: I have used his services before, and he is the easiest, most professional person in the trades I know. This is especially outstanding when one considers this is the field of roofing, which is often full of derelicts.
Description of Work: Tore off 2 and 3 layers of shingles and shakes, repaired bad wood, replaced fascia, installed new roof deck, ridge vents, flashing. Cleaned up.

Called. A gentleman named Jim came out next day. He looked at situation and gave me suggested solutions that I could try if I wanted to do it, "no charge". He recommended products to use and where to purchase them. Then he walked around roof with silicon caulk and "topped off" over several "ify" nail heads around vents. He touched up maybe 20 nail heads. All this was free of charge. He said IF they were to do the job of removing shingles, putting in new flashing on one side to the chimney and new shingles, it would run approximately $700, however, he was about 80% sure that the water was coming in at a specific location, and that his suggested recommendations would prevent it. In essence, he told me how to self repair the situation, what products to use and where to get them, and didn't charge me. Well, this seemed to be remarkable. Jim is a pleasant sort, and I detected no guile, and he had talked himself out of a job, and all this was "no charge". Heaven on Earth, huh? So I bought the materials ($50) and spent maybe 2 hours doing as he instructed... and waited for the next rain. And it still leaked. So I called back. Out Jim promptly came again and brought his actual repair man to look at it. The repair man said to be "sure", the new flashing was going to have to be down both sides of the chimney, thus the price moved to $1400, @ $700 a side. Well, what are you going to do, your roof is leaking. So they made the repair, I payed the $1400, and so far (3 months later), it hasn't leaked. BTW: the part where I patched myself, well, when they removed and replaced the new work, they didn't touch that area (behind the chimney)... which I thought was weird. However, the leak is apparently fixed now.
Description of Work: New flashing and shingles installed around chimney.

Overall, it was a good experience because I have a sense of security that the work can be counted on. I had a roofing company of my own many years ago, and I could see the work done on my roof by The Doctor was excellent.
Description of Work: Many shingle tabs had been blown off the roof in a storm. The Roof Doctor met me exactly when he said he would and gave me a price which was very reasonable, considering the numerous shingles that would have to be torn off and replaced. He not only did that work, but noticed that two pipes that came through the roof were not properly flashed, so he did that, too. The roof had been leaking since the storm, but now it's not. This roofer is fair, reliable, knows his stuff, and is a pleasure to deal with - not all that common within the roofing trade.

A company had installed a new roof and replaced all the vents on the roof. The dryer vent was installed with a regular vent which would cause problems with the dryer and possible damage to the motor were the pipe to become clogged which is very likely. After several attempts to contact the original roofer who had just replaced the roof two weeks prior to Aug. 21, we looked on Angie's list and decided to phone Roof Doctor. I left a message and Mr. Joe Redunski returned my call right away and listened to my problem and told me that the vent required replacing or my dryer could burn up from clogging. He gave me a verbal estimate over the phone that I asked for in his professional opinion. He quoted me $250. He asked me if I was willing to pay that or I could call someone else. He was very professional and very knowledgable on his trade. He also was very patient and fair. He told me if I did want him to fix the problem that he could possibly do it today because he had a crew on a street two over from mine. I told him of course. He came to the house within 30 minutes of hanging up did an assessment and made a proposal of $275. I was fine with that and he said he just needed to get the materials and as soon as the crew was done at the other house they would come right over about 5:00pm. I went back to work and left him a check and he dropped off the materials later. AFter I returned home from work about 6:30, I noticed one guy on my roof. I asked him if he was Mr. Redunski. He replied yes he was he formerly introduced himself to me and he told me his crew had transportation problems, but he would get the problem fixed himself. He completed the job in about 30 minutes and he repaired a few extra things at no extra cost. He also painted a primer on the 1 x 2 trim board above the garage that the previous roofer was supposed to paint. He cleaned up and then proceeded to explain all the things he saw flawed on the installation of the roof by the original roofer. I hightly recommend Roof Doctor to anyone looking for, honesty, punctuality, professionalism, exceptional work, and fair pricing. THANKS JOE!
Description of Work: Improper vent installed by previous roofer, and Mr Redundski replaced it with the correct dryer vent to prevent dryer damage.

My husband didn?t like the fact that he started working before we even discussed anything with him. We didn?t appreciate that. However, he did a fairly good job. His price was pretty reasonable.
Description of Work: He replaced the spring for us.
