I simply do not recommend going with Shane / Home Solutions - period, my opinion. Read the other review if you want juicy details.

He was to do our fachia boards, never showed up on time, ended up needing to contract out his job because he couldn't do it. Told me I nagged my husband. Awful.....

We decided to use Home Solutions (http://www.austinhandymancontractor.com/) to remodel our bathroom(floor, bath, and shower) and kitchen counter tops along with a few other minor repairs. We decide to go with Home Solutions because the Contractor(Shane) was a nice guy and the price was very affordable. Little did we know what we were getting ourselves into. Below is a synopsis of our experience with Home Solutions. Time line: We were told that the job would only take 3 or 4 days to finish. This was not the case, the job drug out for almost three weeks before we able to start using our kitchen and bath again. Unresponsiveness/Lack of Communication: Although I understand how people can get busy and time lines sometimes have to be extended, what is not acceptable is being unresponsive and not communicating with your customer. More times that I can on both hands we were told that the contractors would be there at a certain time and the result was either being hours late or not showing up at all. On top of this we never received phone calls notifying us of delays or not showing up. Working in a customer service type industry to me this is very unacceptable. Quality of Work: After the work was finally complete and we were able to see the finished product there were numerous mistake and errors. The grout in both the kitchen and bathroom is cracking, the tiles in the bathroom and kitchen are crooked, the shower doesn't work at all and the grout under the bathroom faucet is wet all the time telling me that there is a leak. We have been trying to get Home Solutions to come back and fix the errors for the last three weeks and have experience much of the same unresponsiveness and lack of communication. I am writing this review because of my experience with Home Solutions and frustration that I spend thousands of dollars and have been treated horribly. I strongly recommend that you stay away from home solutions and look elsewhere if needing a home contractor/handyman.

Their bid was the most reasonable but the experience was horrible. They left without finishing all of the tasks. I was supposed to show the place to potential tenants so I asked them to come back to tidy up and finish. They gave me a quote for $1,100 but I ended up spending $1,264. They sounded reliable but I recommend staying away from this company. I made the mistake of making a final payment before all of the tasks were finished. There was trash can was full of trash, they didn?t haul away the brush in the yard, they didn?t do the vertical blinds, and the patio door was not secure. I had to give the tenants about $400 credit because of all of the items left behind. The final price that I paid was not reasonable.
