Description of Work: Elite Electric managed the City of Austin turning off the power, replaced the meter box, repaired the riser, scheduled the inspection to get power turned back on. Re-attached the electric line after the damaged garage was repaired and painted.

Description of Work: Elite Electric came out to check on an outlet that kept tripping. He immediately found two wires that were crossed and fixed the problem. Since he was able to fix the outlet so quickly he even inspected a light fixture that was giving us trouble!

Description of Work: Excerpt from a previous comment. "We immediately asked him to come back when when he could schedule it, and check all the outlets in the house in case the builders workmanship (failure to properly connect the outlet) had been done on other outlets." When Chadwick came on Dec 3, in response to all of the outlets and lights in our bathroom dropping off line, he discovered an electrical outlet in an adjacent room that had not been connected properly (the screws attaching the wiring to the outlet hadn't been tightened). Since this was the second example of incorrect wiring by the builders contractor, we asked him to schedule a return call and check all the outlets in the house. He failed to come as scheduled, and in response to my call, said he had another commitment and would re-schedule. Since then , Nada.

Description of Work: On a Saturday morning, the electicity went out in our bathroom. I used Angie's List to find electricians and started calling those who were not listed as "Closed" on Saturdays. I left messages at several firms and got no response. Chadwick returned my call in about an hour, suggested several troubleshooting tips to see if I could fix the problem myself and agreed to come in two hours. He came as promised, found a wall outlet that the connections hadn't been tightened down when the house was built 12 years ago, pigtailed the connection making it better than code (rather than having the circuit pass through the outlet) and charged me the same rate that he would charge for a weekday service call. We immediately asked him to come back when when he could schedule it, and check all the outlets in the house in case the builders workmanship (failure to properly connect the outlet) had been done on other outlets. Very impressed, very satisfied, and enthusiastically recommended.

Description of Work: I created a mess with my electrical system in my home after installing some dimmer switches. As a result of my poor attempt at being an electrician I discovered a wiring problem with one light switch that was there from when the house was built and was complicated by my putting in the new switch. I also failed to properly complete the circuit when installing another switch which caused several outlets to stop working.

Description of Work: He put in a 2-20 vult plug in our garage, and added extra fuses to our fuse box. This is for our tredmill pool in our garage. He's the one that suggested the extra thing to turn of the electricity is there was a surge for our protection.

Description of Work: At the last minute before cabinet installation in my gameroom, realized I needed to move electrical & data connections in the room. Called Chadwick and asked if there was any way they could get to it the same day (Thur -- cabinets were going in on Fri). He called me back a few minutes later and told me one of his guys was willing to work the evening. Andrew came that evening and worked until midnight -- came back on Saturday afternoon to do some additional work. Chadwick called and checked on the work on Friday. Work was top notch. Had 2 sconces installed in my dining room, and Andrew figured out how to wire them in without any visible sheetrock cuts (very tricky -- on a bay window!). By the way, Andrew was highly knowledgeable on AV & data wiring -- had him do some additional Cat 6 runs in some tricky drop-down areas. Work was perfect.

Description of Work: Prior to joining Angies list, I found Chadwick, Elite Electric through Yelp. I called him on Saturday, September 5, 2009, left a message and he very promptly returned my call. He came out on Labor Day, Monday, September 7 to look at my situation. He understandably did not have the material to make the repairs that day, so we set an appointment for Wednesday, September 9. He called me on Tuesday to say that he would not be able to come on Wednesday, so we postponed the appointment to Thursday, September 10 and I worked from home that day to meet him. He called Thursday afternoon to say that he could not make the appointment and we reset it for Saturday, September 12. Late Saturday morning he called to ask if it was raining (which it was) and stated that the work (outside electrical) could not be done in the rain (understandably). After establishing that my breaker box was located outside, he suggested that he come to the house without me so that I would not have to stay home from work--he was not definite on which day. The week of Sunday, September 13 came and went with no call from Chadwick, so I called him on Thursday evening, September 14 to see if he had forgotten me. He said that he would come the next day. He has not yet called or shown up.

Description of Work: Elite Electric removed a box light in my kitchen and installed 8 recessed lights. In addition, they removed a recessed light over my sink and installed a pendant light. They also installed a new light switch. They installed five other lights around my house that I already had purchased. In my master bathroom, they installed four new recessed lights and a new outlet.

Description of Work: They ran conduit for one of clients for an extended outdoor outlet.
