We decided not to use this company because of red flags such as poor communication. Just made me concerned about other possible problems.
Description of Work: The products seem to be of good quality. Communication could be much better. A person came out to take measurements of rooms. But then when I went in to let them know what flooring I wanted to use, my measurements were never passed onto the person who needed to give us a price estimate.

I am not real happy about this. I got two estimates on my flooring. One from Home Depot and one from CRT Flooring which is in my neighborhood and I like to support local business. So I went with them and spent $8000 getting a wood floor. It is wonderful, the floor is gorgeous but they haven?t finished the job and it has been 6 weeks and I am not happy about that. In fact I am so unhappy about it that I spoke with the installer, this is not the installers problem, it is the company?s problem. There are two pieces called transition pieces that you put down when you go from a tile floor to a wood floor or carpet to a wood floor. I have two of those and I keep tripping over them because they haven?t come in yet. So I keep calling and keep calling and it?s 6 weeks now and those two pieces haven?t come in. So the installer went and got two non-matching pieces and brought them in this morning and put them in for me because I told them I would sue their company if I trip and fell and broke a hip. I am angry now and this is not responsible of them. The floor is gorgeous and the installer was absolutely wonderful and he could not have done a better job and he obviously cares a lot about his work very very much. ?I still don?t have the right two pieces so I just let them go ahead and put the un-matching pieces down because at 75 I can?t afford to fall and break a bone. I let them go ahead and put the un-matching pieces just to keep me from tripping. I will call on Monday at one more time to tell them they have to fix this and do this right. ?They should be ashamed of themselves because they know the situation. When they said they were going to be here they were here. It?s hard to separate the team that did the work and the company that I paid for the work.? The team that did the work was highly professional and they were wonderful.? They did a really great job and they brought in a cleaner which I did not expect. Out of their in money they brought in a cleaner to get up on all the dust. They put the floor on a concrete pad so they had a lot of dust. Unless they make this good, I am a very unhappy customer. I expect them to do better.
Description of Work: They installed flooring.

It went really well. I would have liked if they spent more time on the baseboards. It didn't fit right and they didn't want to fix it. They needed to shave it out so that it fits.
Description of Work: They pulled out the old laminate and then fixed the floors for most of the house.

Description of Work: I highly recommend them. Since my original installer disappeared, I walked in to CRT to ask if they could install my vinyl plank flooring materials. I was afraid they wouldn't do it because I didn't buy it from them. I was elated when they said they would install it, and they did a fantastic job.

Everything CRT did anyone would rate as Lousy, Unsatisfactory, Unprofessional, and Extremely Poor. It started out with CRT starting the install 2 weeks later than promised and scheduled. Once they started, they showed up late everyday. This has been ongoing for 5 months now and they are not yet finished. Just today, November 2, 2015, hey literally "Forgot" they had scheduled to fix yet another problem they created during their last attempt to fix previous mistakes. The boards they fitted did not properly fit, they had to use caulking to try and conceal the huge gaps...this looked horrible and did not work. They scratched the new floors by sliding a bed across the floors instead of picking it up and tried to conceal Tia fact and they blamed it on my mother. The salesman, at one point early on when they failed to meet their scheduling times set, literlally yelled at my mother as she tried to reschedule with them as he stated, "for no reason, he was just irritated by many other problems." They did mess up newly painted walls and have yet to agree to fix any of them claiming it could not be proven they did damage them. The walls were painted by freinds who do his as a side business and during the final inspection with them these dents and holes in the wall were simply not there. CRT stated the install would be 2 days only, with a 3rd day setup for cleanup and within 5 months they have yet to complete the install even to their standards. CRT has made more than 5 trips to my home with their customer service team and manager and all have continued to state that I am correct in pointing out these problems and the install mistakes is not how hey normally do business but they have yet to rectify the situation.
Description of Work: The provider was set to install approximately 1500 square feet of hardwood flooring. The wood was purchased during May sales event and they did an excellent job with matching the existing hardwood floors. After that, everything CRT did anyone would rate as Lousy, Unsatisfactory, Unprofessional, and Extremely Poor.

I was basically pleased with the sale and the installation of the tile. The wrong type of grout was sent originally. By the time the "correct" grout was delivered it was late in the day, but the installers stayed until the job was done. This might seem a good thing but I really wanted them to leave! They were in my house almost 12 hours that day, and since they were working on the entire downstairs, I was stranded upstairs all day. "Correct" is in quotes because I was told the grout would have sealer built in; however, this was not the case. The installers had to come back another day to seal the grout. They brought the sealer . . . and nothing else. I discovered after they left that they had used two rolls of my paper towels to wipe up! Nothing goes perfectly but, for the most part, I was pleased. One thing: For the few issues that occurred, Justin at the store was quick to respond and set things right! Because of his attention and professionalism, I intend to complete the flooring installation in my home through the store.

Install team was great and did a wonderful job. It was a challenging shopping experience in that we seemed to be the only ones that wanted to do business together. I had to initiate all contact, and push to get quote and work scheduled. Never a follow up phone call to check on the work. Again great product, great install, just very poor sales team

The CRT crew operated like a well-oiled machine. They arrived on time and left when they reached a natural stopping point that made sense. They cleaned up after themselves each day because there were no leftover scraps or trash anywhere. The leader of the crew was very attentive whenever I had a question, even if I was mumbling it from another room; it's like he had radar! I liked that the crew stayed onsite during their lunch break which didn't last very long at all. They were also very courteous and kindly said 'excuse me' whenever I happened to be standing in their workspace, which was often the case because I was mesmerized by the methodical flow of the activity as well as the beauty of the flooring. They moved my furniture carefully and tenderly as if it were made of glass and placed it exactly where I wanted located. They were truly artists who can cut forty five degree angles out of small pieces of wood in seconds! Their work ethic and attitude was professional, impressive, and commendable. Overall, I would rate CRT Flooring Concepts as excellent based on their showroom, salesmanship, and workmanship.
Description of Work: Before CRT Flooring Concepts, I had met with three other providers and was totally dissatisfied with them. Then one day, I literally just walked into CRT to check it out. It was bright, fresh, well-organized, and inviting. Justin Hoschar was the salesperson who greeted me, asked me how he could help me, and listened intently to my dilemma. I explained that I had already purchased my materials wholesale and that my original provider had disappeared, so I was looking for someone to install my flooring materials. Amazingly, they were willing to do that for me. When Justin came to my home to take measurements of the floor space, he was very calm, focused, and thorough, and carefully took the time to figure the estimate, explained it clearly, then asked me when I wanted the installation. I was so relieved to have an actual date for installing my flooring materials. I was impressed with his knowledge of flooring and his ability to make me comfortable with the whole installation process.

If you are considering buying carpet from CRT or Costco do your homework first. In general the whole deal was not good. We scheduled an apt to look at the carpet. We had to wait 2 weeks to get the apt. We were scheduled for 5 in the afternoon as I recall. About 5 we get to let us know the salesman was running late and did we want to cancel. That should have been the first clue. We told them no we had already waited 2 weeks and changed our plans to make this meeting. So we picked out some carpet we liked. All we heard about in the store and at the house was about this amazing padding we would be getting. Keep that in mind. I knew the cost of the carpet was high when we bought. But I went with it thinking about the amazing padding and the quality work and service I would get since this was a Costco deal. So we order the carpet and about a week and a half we get a call to schedule the install. I setup a morning install. 9 - 10:30. Day of install about 10:30 I get a call, installers are running about 1/2 hour late and should be there soon. Great I thought, at least they called. Now keep in mind my wife is in town expecting me to pick her up end of the day and knowing I might be a bit late. We are reasonable people. The installers did not show up until 1:30 in the afternoon. They started ripping the carpet out and then laying the new pad. The pad is ok. It is not as good as what I had, but ok. The job gets finished at about 6:30. I have bought a fair amount of new carpet and they have at least vacuumed the new carpet. Not this quality job. No vacuuming of the new carpet and junk from the carpets left all over inside and out. I did complain to Costco as well and they said sorry to hear about your bad experience. The carpet is nice and the installation itself looks to be good quality. I am thankful for that.
Description of Work: I bought new carpet through the Costco Carpet program, the actual vendor is CRT Carpets.

Called and left message several times and also were told a few times the person we needed to talk with was not there, please call later. Gave up on them after a week or soof back and forth, figured if it was this tough to get a quote, really did want to proceed any further.
Description of Work: Met and talked to the sales guy at Costco South location, very nice guy, flooring looked good. In fact liked him and what we saw of wood flooring he was selling enough to call the contact number we got from him to schedule a visit to size our new wood flooring job and next steps.

I needed to have some wood flooring put in. I was introduced to CRT by Costco, and as typical with things at Costco, I expect to pay a decent price, not rock bottom, but to get good, vetted quality in return. 1) Initial contact - CRT has a nice showroom and their sales people are very friendly. They showed me a wide range of flooring and I didn't feel like they were upselling me at all. In fact, the opposite happened - I walked in thinking more expensive and they talked me into cheaper. Nice! 2) Steven came out to do the measurements, was patient and helpful discussing the options and his thoughts. I chose flooring and tile and he promised to send a quote. 3) Unfortunately, that's where it got sort of bad. I had to call back several days later to remind them to send my quote, which they then sent. I stopped in to make some updates to it, which another person promised to do. They never did. 4) A few days after that, I stopped in a third time and the manager, Danielle, made changes on the spot. Fine. She also had me sign on the spot, which I was ok with. She verbally scheduled installation and promised to call me the next day with an update on status of order and to confirm installation dates. 5) The night before installation was supposed to occur, I had to call CRT. I spoke with Danielle, who didn't seem to remember our conversation from a few days earlier. She didn't know the status and said I had to call back in the morning. 6) The next day they called and asked me to be home during the day for delivery of the order. Fine, I quickly arranged getting off of work early to accommodate them. 7) The installers came, they were a 3rd party contracted by CRT. They clearly had my installation dumped on them at the last minute and were trying their best to fit this in while managing other jobs. They were nice and spent time discussing my installation with me, since CRT had not communicated anything with them either. Looks like they were just sent a bill of materials to pick up. 8) The installers, trying to do my job along with another job (thanks to CRT's inability to schedule and communicate) made them late and rushed. They showed up hours late, usually without calling. 9) In the end, the installation was fine, not perfect. The floors look nice but for $6k I wouldn't think I'd have to nag them to spend it.

CRT Flooring recently installed maple flooring throughout our house and stairwell areas. We are extremely pleased with the result and had a positive experience throughout the entire process ? from Sales interaction with Steven our Sales rep re selection through the finishing touches of the installation where seamless and painless. Installation process was performed with a great degree of care and attention to every detail. Steven was very through by providing options to ensure our design elements could be integrated with our existing flooring. Installation team was extremely enthusiastic and married to the job from beginning to end, and they showed up on time and worked hard until the evening every weekday, until the job was complete. We would happily endorse CRT Flooring to our friends and anyone who wants a more beautiful home!

Initially working with CRT was going great. They were very quick coming out to our house and taking measurements for the job requested. Also they brought out several samples to go through and choose a suitable flooring material. That is were the good part ended. We never got a quote until I started emailing and calling. A week and a half later I finally get a quote but it did not include half the items we discussed. When I asked to have the quote corrected I was told they would have it done the next day. Several phone calls and a week later I finally get the updated quote and it is still incorrect and does not include items like sales tax. I decided to give up on them and went back to Costco which suggested CRT for another suggestion. They took my info and concerns and relayed them back to CRT who quickly called me back to address my issue. I then was told the sales person I had been working had quit and frankly had dropped the ball on his way out. I was then told the pricing info I was given was incorrect as the discounts were had been applied were not valid for the flooring type in the quote. When I asked for a full quote I was told the best thing would be to come into their office to discuss and pick out a new wood selection. They may be a good company however at this point I was very concerned about their responsiveness especially if we decided to have them install our floors.

PROS: All the people at the CRT location on Burnet Rd. are professional and helped us in making our decisions. Couldn't be happier with them. They were able to get the floors installed quickly. We're very happy with the flooring - both the wood floors and the carpet. The carpet crew were fast and very efficient. CONS: The wood flooring crew spoke very little English (nothing usual with that these days), but it makes communicating a challenge. This crew had a mixed level of experience - some more than others. The guy doing the under cutting of the door frames should have started in less visible doorways. His cuts were way more (too high) than the thickness of the flooring required. A few times the saw "got away" from him leaving a 4 - 5 inch cut in the baseboard to the left of the door frames he was under cutting. They were supposed to caulk the quarter round, but when it came time the caulk and gun had left on another truck. So we provided our caulk and gun to the last two guys finishing up, but they didn't seem to know how to caulk. Plus, they were so messy I stopped them (as I can do a better job and I'm the one doing that will be painting that trim later).
Description of Work: Removed all old carpet from upstairs and the stairs. Installed wood flooring upstairs, along with new quarter round. Installed new carpet on stairs.

I had a water leak in my home where carpet pad and vinyl flooring was damaged. Holly Hand coordinated these repairs and I also upgraded pad in other areas of the house at the same time. The work was well done & performed on time by a professional crew at a very reasonable price. A few weeks later I contacted Holly to replace carpet & vinyl at my duplex. After inspecting & measuring she told me she would get back to me with a bid. After a month of calls and emails to Holly with no response I called the San Antonio office to see if she was still alive. They referred me to the office manager in Austin, (forgot her name). I called her and she assured me I would get a call the next morning. It has been 4 days now and still no call. At this point I have to go elsewhere for my flooring. I have to get my duplex rented and can't afford to wait another month for flooring. If they didn't want the job they should have just told me that!
Description of Work: Carpet pad and water damaged vinyl flooring was replaced. Old carpet was lifted for new pad and was re-laid and stretched over new padding and home. Bid was also requested at rental property. I met with Holly Hand at the rental property where she measured both sides of duplex for flooring replacement.
