Cedar Park Overhead Doors

It's been over a month without a call to schedule the installation of the part and possibly the rollers on both doors. This job was estimated at $420. Perhaps they lost the paperwork and perhaps I could have called to check though as the customer, I would expect to have been promptly called to schedule the installation of the parts.

They were able to come out the same day and have it fixed. We spent $300 on that work and that included the parts and labor. They were timely.

I called the provider for a tune-up in response to a coupon offer ($49 for $97.50 service). Upon arrival, the technician identified a broken spring and some other issues. Initially, I was told that they refused to do any such work, and that the door would have to be replaced (est., $635, not including opener). After friendly discussion with the technician and a manager, they agreed to fix the sensor (a 5-minute job) for no charge. I'm happy with the interaction, and will definitely call them when the time calls for a replacement. They get a 'B' for professionalism because of the initial categorical refusal to do any work, but I view this as minor, since it all ended well.

I found them as a top company on Angie's List. I had never had automatic doors. They were able to install everything I needed, including springs and new parts, to get the openers in. They put good sealers on the bottom of the doors to prevent dirt. I liked the work they did. They showed me how to use them. Since the garage was not originally wired for a connection they had to use extension cords. I had to call an electrician in to add more wiring. The only thing that bothered me was that I had no idea I was going to have to have the extra electrical work done. I did not like how it looked with the extension cords hanging form the ceiling!

I made an appointment for Cedar Park Overhead Garage Doors to come out and look at it. They provided a window during which they would arrive, with a call-ahead 1/2 hour in advance. Jeff, the technician called as arranged, arrived promptly, quickly diagnosed the problem and repaired it. At my request he also did a thorough inspection, replaced broken and worn parts, lubicated things, and got the doors running smoothly and much more quietly. Jeff was very personable and friendly, professional, efficient and ethical. He didn't try to sell me parts I didn't need. I felt I could trust his advice without being "upsold" at every opportunity. I feel he gave me a fair price for a bundle of services and repairs.

The folks who helped me on the phone were thorough in their questioning and seemed to give me sound advice about how to proceed with my project. Their price was reasonable, especially considering that they supply all materials and come to your home, eliminating all need for you to shop product etc. They were able to accommodate my schedule (the Monday following Christmas) and arrived about 25 minutes later than I was expecting them, though they called to tell me they were on their way. The tech arrived without the proper equipment as he was not told our door was and 8 foot door (7 is standard, I learned). That was a bit upsetting as I had not, to my recollection, been asked the height of the door. Nevertheless, the tech was back within 1.5 hours and had the door installed just fine well before I needed to leave the house for the afternoon ... I had asked very specifically if they would be able to program my car and the folks on the phone said yes. The tech, however, made 3 attempts to do so and was not successful. He noted that certain cars are more difficult to program than others but that the dealer would help me. That did not prove true but the owner called me after reading my (original) Angie's List post and talked me through the process. COOL! Before leaving the tech explained everything that he did, showed me how to properly maintain the tracks of the door opener on both the new one he installed AND the other door opener that we did not replace (we use it very little). I feel very confident that he did a good job on the installation and that the information he gave me to maintain it will increase the lifetime of my new (and very quiet, YAY!) opener. Overall I feel that I got excellent service for the money I spent.

From the time I called the company until the work was done was withing 24 hours. The young man who came was professional, courteous, careful, and quick. What really impressed me was that instead of selling me the installation of a new seal, he showed me how to make the one I had work. Incredible! Then he checked the entire system and made the door work better. I've told everyone about this great company and their service.

Les arrived on time, did the work very quickly and was very courteous. Other businesses need to learn from Cedar Park Overhead Doors about customer service. In this age of automated phone response systems and poor service, Cedar Park Overhead Doors and Les are exemplifying how to run a business for the long term.

Service was excellent. Les was the representative. He came out within a few hours of the initial phone call. He examined my existing garage door opener and explained what was going on. He gave me alternatives to repair or replace and what to watch for. He discussed the different openers that are available and gave me an estimate for the door that he recommended. I chose to replace the opener before it failed completely. Les came out the next morning and replaced the opener, installed a remote keypad, and programmed the Homelink buttons in my car. I have a two-door garage. Les also examined the other opener (which is newer), adjusted the settings and lubricated it. This was a good experience. No glitches. Les was pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. I'll certainly use this company in the future.

Technician was prompt, courteous and professional. Faults were pointed out and repairs explained. Discount coupons were accepted. Company is customer oriented and provides quality work.

This company provides excellent service. This was the second time we had a garge door problem within two weeks, and both times they were here in a matter of a couple of hours and completed the work. They are great.

They came right over. They gave an estimate. The guy came over and had it over in 2 hours. It wasn't exemplary service but they were very punctual. They charged what they said they were going to charge us. They did a good job and we have had no problems with the door. They do what they say and they get it done very quickly.

No show. No call. Finally showed up almost two hours late. Said an appointment doesn't mean that they will be on time because they have a lot of customers.

Les was great. Came out within 2 hours of my call. Replaced both springs and lubed the chain. Checked operation and I was satisfied. Good job.

They responded quickly to begin with, but from there on out dealing with this company was a nightmare. They sent me an estimate and we talked on the phone and decided it was best for me to drive up to Cedar Park to look at the door that I wanted to purchase. I called Don first thing Friday morning and told him that I was on my way to come look at the door. I got in my car immediately and was at their business within 30 minutes. This is where the problems began. Don was not there, I walked in to the office where some guy looked up at me and said "Who are you with??" in a dismissive tone. I immediately felt unwelcome and on the defensive. I said I am here to look at a door, I just called and said I was on my way up. "Who are you meeting with ?" he replied, and I said I think his name is Dave or Don. "What door do you want?" I was confused because in the back of my head I was wondering a) where is Don? b) why am I getting interrogated by this guy like the gestapo. We figured out what door I was supposed to look at and he took me out back, Don was still nowhere in sight. The door had cobwebs and dust all over it and was disgusting to look at. The estimate for this door was $1800 all said and done, and I think I would have paid maybe $250.00 for the door we looked at. He called Don and asked him where he was and he said he'd be back in an hour, and asked me if I could wait. I had already driven 30 minutes up to Cedar Park (not my ideal use of time) to look at the door, and had to now either wait an hour to give them my business, or head back. I told them that I would not be doing business with their firm, and that I had a job and didnt have 2 hours to spend of my time so that I could pay them money. I then Called Don on his cell to tell him I would be taking my business elsewhere and he said "whys that?" even though he knew that he stood me up. "I had a work emergeny" was his response. Then while I was explaining my frustration, he hung up the phone. Their facility was shoddy, the service was terrible, they stood me up, and then had the audacity to ask me to wait an hour ? I will never recommend this business to anyone. I dont know who had a positive experience, but I think they most likely didnt go look at the facility or they would never have done business with this company.

Response was almost immediate. Les (the repairman) showed up a half hour after my call, diagnosed the problems, gave a specific estimate, and started. Even after being stung by a wasp, he completed the repairs, stuck to the price, and maintained a professional and friendly attitude. Everything works great and I have nothing but praise for Les. Although the work is warrantied for 10 years, I doubt I will need to call them back anytime soon.

Our garage door failed late on a Monday night. One side had become detached from the track, and I could not fix it myself. I contacted Cedar Park Overhead Garage Doors at 7 AM the next morning. They asked me to describe the problem, so that they could be sure they would have the necessary parts for the job. By 10 am, my garage door had been fixed, and is now functioning better than it has in years.

I called early Monday morning and even though I could tell things were busy on their end, Rick was very responsive and sent a guy out right away. Larry, the garage door repair man, was polite, hard-working and did exactly what he said he was going to do in the quote. Even though he had to make a special trip to get the correct torsion bar, he was finished by noon and on his way. I wouldn't think twice about using these guys again.

FANTASTIC service experience. After doing my Angie's List research, I sent an email this morning to the company describing in detail that I needed a tune up for my two garage doors. I received a phone call from Ric (I think) on the same day. We discussed what I was looking for and he said he could have a technician there today at 2:00. Matt showed up right on time and took me through the options. I was anticipating a lot more work and expense, based on past dealings with other garage door companies. I was absolutely thrilled when Matt completely fixed the problems with the worse of the two doors in about 30 minutes. He took pride in his work and explained in detail all that he had done. (I never would have figured it out on my own.) He then performed his magic on the second garage door. Now they both close extremely quietly and evenly. I feel like I have a new set of doors and new garage door openers. Thanks, Matt!

I called the company and also emailed them from their website, asking for a garage door check and telling them that I had the Angie's List coupon. Nobody answered so I left a voicemail message on their office phone. It was a few days before I got a return call - long enough that I began to wonder if they'd gotten the message. When they did call back, they scheduled a visit very promptly - the same week, on the day I requested. I was told that the technician would arrive between 8 a.m. and noon and that he would call when he was en route. He did arrive in a timely manner, but without the phone call. Jeff was very friendly and professional. He did a thorough job and even lubed the mechanism and springs twice. He also offered some tips about maintenance and troubleshooting. It was clear that he really cares about the quality of the customer's experience. From his statements, I gather that that the company also encourages honesty and customer satisfaction. I will certainly hire this company again and recommend it to anybody without reservation.

On July 18 (Sunday) Cedar Park Overhead Doors sent a serviceman to repair my next-door-neighbor's door. When he finished, I had him inspect my door and give me an estimate on replacing the old, shabby seal. While he was here, he did everything but replace the seal (didn't have one on his truck). He instructed me to call the office the next day, which I did, ad another service man arrived on time on Tuesday (7/20), and installed the new seal and inspected the operation of the door.

Rick and his team were outstanding. I found them on Angies list yesterday and told them about the garage problems at my rent house. They called me this morning and were already over there and had diagnosed the problem and were ready to fix it. The best part is I have not heard from my tenants. Anytime I have a service professional over there they let me know right away when they are not happy. No news is good news with them! I will definitely use Cedar Park Overhead again.

This was a great experience. I initially inquired via e-mail after reviewing their website and had an idea of what I wanted. Don responded promptly with a quote and made an appointment to come out to measure my doors and show me samples. I had wanted to order the faux wood doors (which are more expensive than the regular fiberglass). Don brought samples and we discussed what would look better on my house. He ended up recommending the less expensive door as it matched my house much better than the faux wood. It took two weeks to order the doors and they came to install within one day of the door delivery. David came out to the house to install and was great. He walked me through the programming of my key pad and showed me operation procedures (including the new safety sensors). I'm very happy with my purchase and the service I received.
