Cedar Park Overhead Doors

This is in regards to customer service only. I did not have work done this time. I've used them before and had planned to use them again but now no longer interested. There are plenty of other options. I called yesterday to make an appointment for regular maintenance on the garage doors. I asked for 3PM or later. Whomever I spoke to said okay. I arranged for someone to be there for the time we agreed on. Today, they showed up at 1PM to find a note that they had already come by. No courtesy call in advance, no message in my voicemail. When we called back, they said they are not supposed to make appointments like that, either 6-12 or 12-6. “They just had a meeting on it yesterday.” They would review the recording and call us back… 1. It is not my problem that someone scheduled us for 3PM even though “they aren’t supposed to do that anymore”. I asked for 3PM or later and was told it could be done. 2. I’m not a big fan of these 6 hour windows like people don’t have anything better to do. Even notoriously bad Time Warner/Spectrum has gone away from those ridiculously large time windows. 3. No courtesy call in advance, no message in my voicemail.. Maybe we could have reset expectation had I had any notice. 4. Phone operator did not take my word for it. Said they’ll review the tapes and get back to me. 5. Did not offer to reschedule? I asked if they could still come out today. They said depends, after they review the tape. I am just supposed to wait around until “you review the tapes”? How about you worry about getting the service done and find out what went wrong later. 6. I have a strong belief that as the customer, I have lots of choices. I don’t need you, you need me. Treat me like it.

They added a few things. They came when they said they would. They're professional.

They performed an inspection of the tracks and moving parts. I'm happy with the openers and the inspection. They also lubricated and cleaned the tracks. He did a good job.

Install went well. The insets I ordered and paid for weren't ordered by the time of the install and I was not made aware of this until the installer showed up.

Went well. Technician was very efficient and friendly.

First installer who came out messed up the garage door opener threads on some bolts. He had some pieces backwards and told us we needed to buy an extension. Second installer came out and fixed all of it and told us to send back the extension. Second installer was A+ First Installer was not.

Cedar Park Overhead Doors came out to the house and gave me a courtesy call before arriving. They did an excellent job (just as they did when they installed our garage doors many years ago). We are definitely fans of Cedar Park Overhead Doors.

The work was done on time and was not expensive

I called 3 days later to schedule and was told since I live in Wimberley there would be additional charges. This was not indicated in the fine print. I cancelled the service call and the Big Deal.

He suggested replacing roller for $200 plus dollars. When I said I couldn't afford it, some oil fixed the problem.

We are very please with the look and the installation.

Went very well. Tech showed me how to oil the door myself if it started squeaking, was very helpful and courteous.

Although I never received a response to the message I sent the provider directly through Angie's List, I phoned them and they sent a tech out that evening. The currently installed torsion spring had failed after just a few years service. Cedar Park Overhead doors said for the size of my garage door, I needed a Two-spring system. Two new springs were installed along with new higher quality rollers. The door seems to function properly now.

Service was performed in a professional manner

The technician was on time and he completed the work professionally. He also gave me advice on the type of lubricant to use to keep my garage door from sticking.

Door purrs like a kitten (and it's a very old garage door & opener!).
