Steve did a careful job and informed me in detail about the condition of the furnace.

The technician arrived promptly but didn't seem interested in doing the work because it was a large job that would take a day. He ask to borrow a ladder because he couldn't be bothered to go outside and get his. He said he would need us to measure the line set because he couldn't be bothered and he would need list list of model numbers of the units, which I provided.

Went very well.... Also purchased for my neighbor. I have company coming back every 6 months when heat and A/C is back on....

Steve arrived on time...... He was very friendly and professional in his work. He measured starting current, system pressures, added freon and explained why my system was more noisy when starting in the heat pump cycle than in the cooling cycle. I would use the company again and would be pleased if the service tech was Steve.

My outside unit quit working and therefore my AC quit cooling. Jon came out and found the problem. He first checked the contactor for ants (common problem, easy to fix). This had happened to me before in my previous house. Not the case here. My high pressure switch had flipped and had not reset itself as it should. I know this, as Jon explained it to me and, without rushing, answered my questions. He gave me two options: an economical one, and one that put it back as the factory had had it. He explained that the economical one was an aftermarket unit which screwed onto the Freon port, while the factory part would be soldered in-line. Unsoldering and breaking into the Freon line, soldering the new one in, and charging, etc. was why the like-factory way was so much more expensive. There might possibly be some quality differences, as the factory unit was from the manufacturer and soldered into the system as opposed to one from an aftermarket company that screwed onto the Freon port. Later I asked Jon if there was anything wrong with the aftermarket solution and he simply said “No.” No sales job. I went with the factory part option, but I liked having a choice. I will recommend Britton to my friends.

horrible, It was not listed as Not Included in the deal. i felt deceived by the deal that i bought. tune up indicated they would clean the coils, test it to see how much pressure was in it, indicate if something was loose they would tune it up. they did nothing. told me that the deal that they offered did not include my unit, even though they sell my unit. they offered to sell me one as a replacement or fix mine with no warranty for a high cost. Very Deceptive.

Britton has been superb to work with---prompt, courteous, on-time and professional, great communications and HONEST, both the office person and the technician. After a long search, we finally feel like we've found a reputable company we can depend on to be truthful with us. They have certainly earned out trust and future business. I'd been looking for a good, honest company to service our 12 yr old heat pump. I'd previously contacted 2 other Angie's List "A" companies and all they did was tell me what's "wrong" with the heat pump and try to sell me new high-end systems. They were smooth talkers and I can easily understand how many people could be fooled by them. That's the only reason why I can think that they've gotten such good reviews from others. Since the heat pump seemed to be functioning normally and they couldn't even agree with each other as to what the "problems" were, I decided to contact Britton and am so glad that I didn't fall for those other 2 companies' scams. Not only did the Britton technician tell us that our system is functioning well and needs no repairs, he also told me why the other companies' technicians were diagnosis were incorrect.

I responded to an Angie's List Deal for an installed mini-split air conditioning unit for $1499, knowing in advance that I would want to substitute a more efficient unit with both cooling and heating capability. Much to my surprise, the extra cost to to that was very reasonable, so I proceeded to buy the Deal and was provided with a written quote for the additional cost. A few days later, Nick came out to inspect the installation area for any potential problems, and not finding any we proceeded to set an installation date. The two man crew showed up on time, got right to work, and within about 3 and 1/2 hours it was done. Installation of both inside and outside units was very professional, everything was level, centered, clean, etc. The guys thoroughly tested the equipment, showed me how to use it, cleaned up every scrap of packing material and trash, and went on their way. During the installation, they laid down clean tarps to avoid tracking dirt into the house, and also had some cloth shoe covers they put on and off at the door every time. As for the unit itself, it works really well. In our house the master bedroom area (including master bath and closet) had a separate a/c unit, a 2 ton installed back when the house was built in 1998. It was inefficient, used propane for heat in the winter, was noisy... the estimates to replace that unit ran from over $6,000 to over $8,000, which just was not in the budget. The Mitsubishi ductless cost $2200, complete, installed and included the "line set cover" - an option which really made the exterior installation look nice. It runs very quietly, we cannot hear the outdoor compressor unit running at all even though it's right outside a window. The indoor unit is nearly silent as well, much quieter than the air blasting out of the vents on our old system. It's just been a couple of days so no way to know about long term reliability, but so far we could not be happier. It cost us less than a third of our other options, operating costs will be extremely low, it's quiet and keeps the room at more constant temperature (it varies airflow continuously as needed, no sudden on - off as with conventional units). I've seen some Angie's List "deals" that really didn't look that great, but this one is for real. If you've thought about installing a mini-split / ductless system, I doubt you will ever see a better opportunity.

It was great. We knew the coil needed replacement, but the team determined from the manufacturer's plate with serial & model numbers that the part was still under original 10-year warranty, so it was covered. All we had to do was a re-install. We were really pleased at the followup on their side and we got our repair done for better than another bid we got who never noticed the warranty part. This is what is called trustworthy customer service that earns repeat visits. Would highly recommend, and I don't say that often.

We hired Britton to do our annual AC diagnostic / check-up. The two service techs were punctual, efficient, and helpful. They inspection revealed that we needed a new capacitor. They explained this issue clearly and discussed the benefits of getting it fixed asap vs. waiting. My wife and I decided to get it fixed asap, not wanting to risk that the capacitor fail during the summer. We scheduled a time to replace the capacitor. The service tech who handled the capacitor replacement was efficient, but somewhat unprofessional. He seemed annoyed that I asked him a simple question: "So, how long do new capacitors generally last before they fail?" He rolled his eyes and said that it could "fail this summer or in 10 years." I pushed back a bit and finally got a satisfactory answer out of him, but I was put-off with how hard he made me work for it. While having this brief conversation he helped himself to a seat in our kitchen and managed to smear mud from his shoes on the floor and one of our white barstools. Maybe he was just having an bad day, but for $200 I expect more engaged, courteous service. Overall, though, Britton was good to work with.

The technician came on time and performed the 21 point inspection and told us we needed to add 7 lbs of refrigerant. two were included in the BIG Deal the other 5 cost 148.75 for the refrigerant. All seems to be in good working order and is now working. I was kind of surprised that we had lost that much refrigerant since we had had it checked in July of 2015. But I suppose things do leak. I think the inspection was performed in a very professional manner and we would use again.

Nick did an exceptional job in performing maintenance on our main heating unit. Did everything and more as stated on Angie's List. He even diagnosed a problem that was extremely tricky. Nick was not going to leave until furnace was in tip-top shape and working perfectly. I would go to Britton Service for all my heating and A/C needs without hesitation.

great installers worked fast some issues with representative (owner) and lead technic as far as communicating to each other. ie prices on carpentry; it seemed odd that the price I told owner I would Not pay was the one offered by the technic (his carpenter) Seemed a little fishy since an owner of a company who sales his service would not know what things cost. Also had defective thermostat that we did not know was blowing hot and cold air at the same time; it was replace fairly quickly with a new one which solved the problem. Otherwise they would get an A .

Once I connected with them, and it did take persistence on my part,it went fairly well. The gentleman who made the inspection and sales call was knowledgeable, professional, and willing to speak with my with my informational resource before I could make a decision. The gentlemen who did the installation were focused and finished the job very quickly. I was not asked to pay the last half until I had a final walk through inspection done by the first man who arranged for the service. He cleaned up the area and took after pictures for me. All in all I'm very pleased with their service and would recommend them to anyone. The Air Conditioning upstairs is cool and comfortable.

Called at 8:00 and left message that my AC stopped working during the night. They returned my call at 8:15 and said they could have someone at my house between 11:30 and 1:30. Nick called at 11:10 and said he was on his way. He arrived right at 11:30 and immediately diagnosed the problem as a bad capacitor. He replaced the capacitor and had the system up and running blowing cold air by 12:00. He then went up into the attic to check the remainder of the system. Nick was very knowledgeable and friendly. He knew exactly what he was doing and took the time to explain everything to me. He not only explained the fix, but also briefed me on the condition of the entire system. I will definitely be using Britton Service Group for my future AC needs.

My AC died during the past heat wave. I did my research and called Britton because of all the good reviews and positive feedback. Nick the service guy came out immediately and got down to business. He quickly diagnosed the problem, and had my A/C up and running. He explained what he was doing the whole time, which is important because he didn't try to snooker me into stuff I didn't need. He never tried to sell me on replacing the unit, however its is on its last legs and he did suggest not spending a lot to fix it which I totally agree with. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely go with Britton again if/when my unit dies.

This was a good experience. I dealt with Rudy, who is very professional & friendly. He was responsive & sensitive to concerns, as well as being adept at explaining the entire process and what goes into his company's bid. This was for a rental property, and the tenants were happy with the professionalism & customer service exhibited by the installers. Afterwards, there was a slight misunderstanding regarding payment for the remaining balance owed (not a big deal, really) and I received a call from someone at the HQ offering an apology. This level of customer service seems rare these days. Between all that and the fact they offered me the best price out of 3 bids, and on a Trane system nonetheless! (one of the top rated brands by Consumer Reports), I would recommend them without reservation. Thanks Rudy !
