B.C. Fence

I use Angie's List to screen and review all contractors I use. I chose B. C. Fence due to the consistently positive reviews. My main contact and the person who oversaw all the work was Kevin L. He is one of the most professional individuals I have dealt with on construction projects. He came by every day to check on the crew and to ensure I was happy with the job. After each phase of the project was completed, Kevin again came by to inspect the work and ask if I was completely satisfied. Any issue, he took care of immediately. Kevin built and installed a custom gate I designed and later came back to install the automatic gate opener. During the gate opener installation, Kevin stayed late to ensure the gate was operating correctly. However, there was an issue with the safety photo eyes and Kevin was immediately on the phone to the tech support folks to troubleshoot the issue. Kevin even came back the next day to ensure the gate opener was operating correctly and the photo eye was not causing any problems. I would say that if you choose to use this company, Kevin is the guy you want doing the project. His follow thorough and attention to detail is fantastic. I only gave a "B" rating for price as B.C. Fence was not the least expensive bid I received, but the work done by Kevin is worth the cost.

Hector provides great service. He took the time to meet with me twice to review the best course of action. His crew then took care of the work in a professional manner. I had a few additional items that needed to be taken care of and he took care of those as well.

I asked they BC Fence just come by and call me with the estimate. They did so and then fixed it. They had the hardware they needed with them and the job was done quickly.

Hector was very responsive to our inquires and worked well with us coordinating design and scheduling details. He initially was on site as the job started. He didn't require payment until we were satisfied with the work and walked the fence-line inspecting it with us before collecting our check. The men that did the actual work were exceptionally hard workers! They also did a good job cleaning up the worksite. We would definitely consider using BC Fence again.

I was most impressed by the project manager's (Hector) responsiveness. He checked on the progress and his people, called to ensure satisfaction, was proactive in scheduling and immediate in followup. This vendor responded within hours to my request on A's List. Material quality was good and work was done in a timely manner.

I contacted BC Fence for a quote on my fence repair. They were able to come out fairly quickly. I walked the fence line with Hector for quite a while discussing the fact that I needed two separate quotes - one for any repairs that were solely due to weather / wear and tear and one related to damage from the overgrowth of our neighbor's trees and vines. He was supposed to provide two separate quotes and we discussed this at length. I waited almost two weeks for the estimate - after having to follow-up to see where it was - and then what I received was one very simple $1,500 estimate with no details and not at all in the format I had said I would need. I emailed Hector back asking what happened to the two versions and received no response. Complete waste of my time and now I have to contact another company and go through this process again.

Of three bids, Kevin was the only sales person who pointed out the need for added stability for the new six to eight foot fence we were going to install. We live on a hillside and the fence was to be installed on top of a 60 year old concrete retaining wall. He said we would need to drill 18 inches into the concrete wall to secure the posts for the new structure. When we experienced winds with the chain-link, of course, the wind went straight through the fencing. With over-lapped wood as high as 8 feet, there could be wind stress on the long structure that could potentially pull the posts out of the concrete secured with only a plate and four bolts. When I asked other sales people if there could be a problem with wind etc.and such a high fence mounted on the concrete wall, they acted like they'd never thought of such a thing. B.C. fence first removed and disposed of the old fence. They spent the next full day drilling out the concrete holes and sinking and securing the posts. The second day was spent installing the actual fence. The workmen were polite and efficient. The fence looks great and has withstood almost a year of all the weather Austin has experienced! Of course, the bid was more than the others we received because of all the additional work done. Our philosophy on this project was, "you get what you pay for". We would use and recommend B.C again in a heartbeat!

Someone was out to estimate the same day I spoke with the company. The repairs were done several days later. They would have come out earlier, but I was scheduling several things on the same day since I was going to be off from work already. I was very pleased with the work that was done. This was a repair that was being done from a previous fence company. The gate was built with a better design this time and does not catch on the ground. This is a standard residential cedar fence. I am very happy with the work that was done.

Didn't choose based on highest bid (even after the 10% Angie's List discount).

Everything went great. Moved into a new home and needed to put in a fence. Got several quotes ranging from friends recommendations to top Angie's List companies and Lowe's. I worked with Kevin and he was a great help for all the planning and they had the best price as well. Would recommend to anyone and would use them again.

BC did an excellent job building a custom size dog kennel including hauling in decomposed granite for the ground cover and ordering a custom cut canvas roof. Great craftsmanship and timely work performed. A+

Beautifully. I received a call within minutes of requesting a quote on Angie's List. Hector was prompt, responsive, and easy to communicate with. The fence was installed in two days, and we had a lot to cover. I was impressed overall!

Their salesperson, Kevin, is very knowledgeable, great to work with and punctual. They do good quality work, all the way around.

We have two toddlers and our homes lower balcony sits at a level of a two story so we needed a custom gate built so we could contain them when we were out on the balcony grilling. We called B.C Fencing after seeing all the great reviews on Angie's List and boy am I glad we did. Kevin came right out and gave us an estimate. He listened to what we needed, he was professional, courteous and we couldn't be happier with the job he did. He truly is a master craftsman. I sent him a picture of how I wanted it to look and when it was installed it was exactly how I had envisioned it. It's gorgeous both decorative and functional. What really sets this company apart is they don't subcontract to other companies to build the gates and then install them. They do it themselves and their quality is phenomenal. This allows for a faster turnaround time from hiring date to completion of work. We loved working with Kevin and B.C Fencing. We would hire them again in a heartbeat.

When we called BC Fence we were given an estimate appointment right away. Hector came to meet with us. He gave us a written estimate and when the job was completed we paid the amount of the estimate. The job was scheduled for the next day. The quality of the work was great and the clean up was thorough. One tree limb had to be cut for one of post replacements and when he finished he took all the debris with him. We called one other fence company for an estimate and they still haven't returned the call. Our job was small so possibly they were not interested. We will definitely call BC Fence for our future repairs.

These guys are amazing! They did what they said they would do, at the time they would do it and at a very competitive price. Kevin, project manager, was on site during the installation and didn't hesitate to jump in when some problem developed.

An excellent experience with BC, all the way around. They were easy to get in touch with, friendly, were quick to stop by to look at the job, and they knocked it quickly, cleanly, and professionally. I would highly recommend them and I would (and will) use them again.

After reviewing multiple fence companies on Angie's List and getting 3 different quotes, I went with BC Fence who not only gave me the most competitive bid but also came across very competent and confident when looking at my fence. I worked with Kevin who replied very quickly to my initial call, met me at my house at the time we set, and initiated the job 3 days after I decided to go with BC Fence. I was amazed at how the entire project (from tearing out the old fence to installing the new one) took only one full day and the quality of work along with attention to detail was excellent. After the work was done, Kevin stopped by to review the work and make sure my wife and I were happy with the finished product. I was very impressed with the entire project from start to finish. I contacted BC Fence last week to get a quote on replacing a section of fence that had seen better days. The entire fence section was rotten and needed to be replaced. I received a call to setup a time for someone to come out and deliver a quote. The quote with options was delivered on time and with an explanation and good advice. After accepting the quote I received a call to schedule the job the next Monday. That Monday morning the individual that was going to do the work arrived in the morning. I pointed out the section just to confirm and he started to work. He worked quickly and professionally. Not only did he do a great job but he did not leave a mess behind. I am very pleased with the work and would recommend them to anyone.

His recommendation for fixing my fence was not productive. I still asked him for a quote but he never followed through with the quote. I didn't let him I wasn't happy.

Kevin came out and took measurements for the arena fencing. We discussed exactly what I had in mind, and he said it was no problem to do it. He gave me a written estimate and, after a bit of discussion with my husband, we scheduled the installation. The only glitch, which was really quite minimal, was a delay in the shipping of the vinyl itself. That delayed the project for a few days, but we managed. Once they started, the guys were on time, efficient and professional. They were also very aware of the horses reactions to their movements. They were sensitive to the riders as well, and careful not to spook the horses. They finished the project when they said they would and charged me exactly what their estimate stated. It was an overall marvelous experience to work with people that knew what they were doing.

Kevin met with me on two separate occasions and made another separate trip to get details worked out as we iterated to a final fencing layout. He was on time and always professional. The crew did a very good job, cleaned up the work site, and fixed any issues I had. I am very happy with the work.

Estimate was quick and then work done all in one day by one man . Worked fast and did good work .
