All Cen Tex / Cen Tex Septic & Vacuum Pumping

This was my first Angie's list experience and it was great. All Cen Tex proved to be a class outfit accommodating my need for relatively quick service at a reasonable price. Joseph provided the service and he was very helpful in addressing the issues we were facing.

Everything went smoothly. We live on a hill, so we have a small "septic tank" with a grinder/pump that moves household sewage into the pressured sewer line in the street. The pump had stopped working a week prior, but mysteriously worked when the plumber showed up. He recommended getting it cleaned out, so I finally did a few weeks later. Called All Cen Tex, even though they had a negative Yelp review. They showed up, opened things up, and cleaned out the tank. The basic charge is $300, which seems reasonable given the fancy, giant vacuum trunk with a crew of two. The lead guy showed me the failure warning light was burnt out. Fortunately they had a 2" PVC union with them, and they offered to pull the pump (extra $150). They did it and cleared a piece of cloth/rag that had jammed the pump. They put everything together, gave me advice about what not to flush, and were on their way. The service was quick, prompt, and courteous.

Pretty simple, called on a Friday morning as soon as they opened. They quoted me a price over the phone. The price was fair although given that it was a very small holding tank (3ft deep by 18" wide) I was hoping their was something lower than the "minimum charge". On the plus side they were able to come out about 2 hours later. As soon as he arrived he went straight to work and was done within about 15mins. Overall was happy with the work performed and the timeliness of it.

We heard about how expensive it can be to have something go wrong with your septic tank so we decided to have ours cleaned. We had no idea where ours was located, thought we did but it turns out we didn't. We moved into a two year old house in 1975 and had never had the tank cleaned. The men who came out had to hunt for the tank, Jason has a lot of experience and found the drain field (we had no idea what that was or where to look for it), on the opposite side of the house from where we thought the tank was. The time it took to find the tank cost us money. After locating the drain field he quickly found the tank and it was a quick job to drain it. After they finished we were given the option of closing up the tank and putting the dirt back or having a sleeve with a lid installed so next time it wouldn't be as hard to find. There was no hard sales pressure, the options were easy to understand and the pros and cons explained. We chose to have the sleeve and lid installed. All expenses were clearly explained at the time we called for the appointment and the expenses for the parts and labor were explained on site. We paid the initial charge for the first 30 min call: $400.00. The company charges $35.00 for each 15 minutes to dig or hunt for the tank, we paid $175.00. This could have been avoided if we had known where the tank was located. We paid $86.60 for parts and taxes and $150.00 for labor on the installation. We are impressed with the professionalism of the two men and how easy it was to communicate with them.

I had a minor septic backup (bubbling toilet while trying to do laundry!) over the weekend. I usually do regular pump outs every 6-7 years and it was about that time. I called Monday to schedule a pump out of the tank and needed them to also dig up the area around the cap in order to pump it out. They told me they could be out early afternoon on Tuesday, which I assumed to be between 12-2 pm. They stated they could call up to an hour ahead, as I explained I had a family member in the hospital and they could give me time to get home to meet them. The ladies I talked to in the office were friendly, quoted right on the money, and were courteous. By about 1:30-2 I had not heard from them, so I called to find out when they might be coming. We did have a slight misunderstanding about the time frame, but they were eager to get a truck out to me to that afternoon and the driver (Jason) showed up within the hour of my call. Jason was professional, courteous and arrived shortly after the call from the office that he was in the area. He was extremely helpful and informative on my system and answered all my questions. He quickly dug up the area where the cap was located (I already knew the general area from the previous pumping years before) and got to pumping the tank underway all within 20 minutes. He replaced the tank cap and filled in the dirt dug up to find the cap, cleaned up my hose and put it back where found. This was one of the best experiences I have had with a repair/service company They charged me exactly what they quoted. I highly recommend this company to anyone that may need their services and I would definitely use them again in the future. Very professional and a pleasure to do business with.

These guys are great. They show up as soon as humanly possible and are eager to do a really nasty job. They are happy to do it too. They will take the extra time to help you understand the system you have and help you learn more about it. I really don't know how they do it. This is one of those things nobody wants to think about and when they have to think about it, can't wait to forget about it. All Cen Tex is my go-to septic service.

The septic tank had filled and clearly needed pumping. They were nothing but professional. They knew exactly what they needed to do, went about their work and were in and out within 30 minutes.

I had a septic backup on December 22nd, a Saturday on the Christmas Holiday weekend. I called several companies and All Cen Tex was the only one that returned my call. They were professional and extremely helpful. I felt like I was their only customer. After explaining my problem they said they would call me back to let me know when the could get someone out (this was at 6:00 PM). They called me back by 7:00 PM and confirmed someone would be out by 10:00 AM the following day (Sunday). They provide the name of the person (Jason) that would be out and said they would call before coming out. 8:00 AM Sunday i received a call from Jason and he confirmed he would be out at 9:30 AM. Jason arrived on time. He was a professional and extremely helpful. He was courteous and always mindfully of my home and property. Under the circumstances this was the best experience I have had with a company doing work on my home in many man years. I Highly recommend this company to all that may need their services and i will use them again in the future. As for the charge... they charged me exactly what they quoted. Very professional and a pleasure to do business with.

company who had already replaced our pump 2 X in 5 years. They came out the day we called them. On time. Fortunately only the wires were hung up. They should have been tied up when they were installed because they were hooking on the float. He fixed it and we also had them install a net over the opening under the lid as required now by code. We spent a lot of money to have someone tie up the wires, but he had to pull the pump to do that. There really wasn't any other way to do it. We are glad we did it to keep it from getting hung up again. I use this company at all my senior centers and have been very happy with their work. I will defintely call them again if I need that kind of work done again.

I probably could have saved $300 by using another vendor, but this company was fast and professional.

All Cen Tex did exactly what they said they would. They showed up promptly the next day (though had it been an emergency they would have made it the same day). They completed the work in the time they estimated. We needed both our tank emptied and our pump replaced (it had burnt out). The pump was probably overpriced, but it was replaced quickly and the service was performed quite professionally.

Alarm on septic system was going off and breakers kept blowing. Called in early morning to set up service but instead was given troubleshooting advice. Performed the tests and called back to set up service but was told the guy was out back with the drivers and would call me back. Waited several hours with no callback, called them again and was told he was on the road but would call me back. He finally called me at the end of the day and said he would have the girls (his words) call me in the morning to set up an appointment, which would most likely be for the following Monday (this was Thursday) or I could pay extra for Saturday work if someone was available. I waited until after 9:00am the next morning without hearing from them and decided to call someone else (another Angie's List company). By 2:00pm that afternoon the other company had replaced the burned-out pump, pumped and hauled the sludge, and repaired a broken manifold in the drain field. It's a good thing I called someone else, no one from All Cen Tex ever bothered to call me back!

The day after Christmas, due to the rains and other issues, the septic was overflowing. As the sole full time caregiver for a 90 year old, it was extremely important to get this taken care of so that toilets and showers were usable. I called on an emergency basis and All CEN TEX did some shuffling so they could take care of the problem that day. Work was done professionally and with minimal impact to the household. They were very understanding and responsive. I will use their services again.

It went very well! I called in the morning and spoke to Wanda. They came and did the work in the same day and left the bill on the door. It was great!

I contacted the company to get estimate for service. Was quoted, $325 plus $35 for each 15mins beyond the base time. I reported the tank was almost full and authorized the work to be done when I was out of town. I provided a contact number. The company requested a second contact number, so I gave my cell-phone number with the warning that I would probably be out of cell-phone range depending on when the service was performed, so the primary contact number should be used first. Not the cell phone number. The company tried to contact me, but used my used my cell-phone number, they did not use the primary contact number as I instructed. When I got home I found a $670 bill for pumping 3200 gallons from my septic. I contacted the septic tank installer to check the capacity of the tank. He reported that the tank would hold 2500 gallons maximum. When I reported the capacity to the service provider, he replied that the excess was due to sewage in the house pipes and freshwater used to wash off sludge. Before the service was requested I lifted the tank covers and could hear water running in the tank; also my house plumbing was not backed up, so there was no sewage in the pipes. I asked company owner, why the service was performed, when he couldn't contact me to get authorization for the extra charge. He said that the problem was my fault for not answering my cell-phone. He went ahead and performed the work without authorization because the cost of sending the truck to the site. When I expressed dissatisfaction with the service and told the owner that I would report my experience he threatened legal action. I'm not a chronic complainer. But, any professional service provider should not charge twice the agreed to cost of service without authorization, regardless of expense for the service call. Blaming the consumer for not being available to authorize the work and threatening legal action are not the qualities of a professional service provider. Summary - Service charge was not in line with estimate. Company didn't follow instructions for contacting me, then threatened legal action if I talk to my neighbors or report problems to any rating services.

I called on Tuesday and they pumped the tank on Wednesday. They worked within my timing restrictions. The service technician was friendly and professional. They had 300 feet of hose available so that they did not have to drive up my steep and narrow driveway. The price was less than I paid five years ago with a different company. They were about two hours late due to a problem with the previous job, but given the quick service overall, this was not a big deal. They did call to let me know about the delay.

Called to have my septic tank pumped. My tank is easily available and the lids were already uncovered. They scheduled me the same day, had a cancellation so they moved it up with my permission. Got the job done quickly and thoroughly, probably even more thoroughly than necessary actually. Who cares if 1% is left in the bottom, we will just be filling it back up almost immediately. Anyway, I'm sure some people care, so he washed and pumped till the dang thing was clean enough to use as a swimming pool. The driver really hustled so he made the 30 minute limit for a basic charge which I appreciated. Nothing to complain about, just good affordable service.

The tech came out the very day I called to make the appointment. I thought we made the appointment for the next day and then I was out walking my dog and the big Centex truck came driving up. The tech didn't have much to say but he was friendly enough. Nothing septic related is ever inexpensive and the referral I got for Centex estimated I'd pay about $150 as a base charge but the base charge to do anything is $350. We won't have to do this again for 4 or 5 more years, thank God.

These people are great. They arrived when they said they would and were very knowledgeable and helpful. I had the tank pumped several years ago and only one of three chambers were pumped at that time. This company found all three and did a great job. I highly recommend this company.

They diagnosed another problem & gave us a great referral to another firm to finish the project. THey are easy to work with, fair & reasonably priced.

Called company to schedule appointment to pump out septic tank. They were very courteous and helpful in setting up appointment for next day. CAlled back and said due to cancellation they could do it today. Service person was very prompt and efficient and completed the job within an hour after starting. Would highly recommend this company.

Everyone from the office team to the driver himself was very professional and pleasant. They did exactly what they said they would, when they said and for the dollar amount. Very impressed and I would call them if I ever had a problem again. Thanks to Angie's list I was very pleased because I didn't have the slightest on who to call.
