Description of Work: We had a major flood in our house - they were very responsive, arrived quickly, were polite and professional which made a stressful situation not as bad as it could be - results of their service were great as they prevented more damage from being done. Our only complaint was reduced timeliness for follow up appointments- giving us one time estimate but then having to change to a different time. However, this was likely related to needing to respond to other emergencies and they always called to give us a heads up related to this - would recommend to anyone

Description of Work: They came highly recommended to us and in the beginning seemed as if they were going to be great. We had more than 1/3 if our home destroyed by a storm. Long story short some things were done very nicely but there is a lot of sloppy workmanship that was not there before. They lied about flooring that was replaced through out the house. Some at our own expense was totally not the brand that I had required and their answer was this is better and you can't scratch it! We are very gentle on the floor and believe me it's scratched! And the installer said oh this is so much better its even .50 more per plank! Like I wanted to pay more? The carpet choices were so inferior to the carpet we had you can feel the plastic backing under your feet and when I kept pointing this out they said no you just need to keep vacuuming it so it will fluff. No that's not happening. You need to wear shoes to walk on carpet? Furniture that was not damaged in the move out came back scratched and glass broken. They replaced some glass but my dining room hutch has a huge obvious gap taken out of the side. They took the second landing of steps out the door to replace brick on the front of the house. After complaining they replaced it with nonmatching brick. A/C no longer cools the rebuilt part of the house and we spent at least a thousand dollars trying to fix that. Bottom line too many contractors making promises they could not or would not honor. Then charged outrageous prices and tried to make us think what a deal we were getting.

We regret to hear this. This is the first time that we have heard about your dissatisfaction with our services. It has been one year since the work was completed. When we did our final walk-through with your husband, he signed a certificate of satisfaction & completion on Sept. 11, 2013. As far as pricing, you and your husband signed a contract agreeing upon the insurance scope of work and the pricing. We also have signed change orders for any work requested outside of the insurance claim. As far as the flooring, you signed the selection forms and used the allowance you were given. We would be happy to have a representative from the flooring manufacturer inspect any flooring for defects. Had we been aware of any of this during your warranty period we would have also been happy to address any of your concerns. Please feel free to contact us.

They won't do anything that is not standard. Their follow up is not good. They cut out all of the carpet and that is not what I asked them to do. I am chemically sensitive and the products that they used were a major issue in my house. They did not do good work and there is still an odor in the house. The job is still not complete and they never called back to give an estimate on the stainless sheet so we could turn the heater on.
Description of Work: We had asked for an estimate but then they took over the job.

When we arrived to assist (member name removed) with water mitigation services, we discovered mildew had begun to form on the carpet. We advised her that it was important to remove the affected area to avoid further damage and potential health risks. We only provide services that the customer approves. The only product we used was Hospital Microban to retard future growth of mildew. Two weeks after the Microban was applied, the customer said she was having an allergic reaction. She said that her "chemist" recommended that we apply an alcohol and water base solution to neutralize the Microban which we did. The customer initially a price on replacing the wood platform for the HVAC unit because she is sensitive to new building materials such as plywood. The customer opted not to do so at this time. We began providing the customer samples so that we could provide an accurate estimate. (member name removed) had extreme sensitivities to new building materials such as painters tape, Sheetrock, paint, ceramic tile, etc. At this point we advised the customer that we did not have the capability to meet her specialized needs.

Description of Work: We had a toilet overflow into the whole house last January and Stanley Restoration was called to help. They arrived within the hour and began assessing the situation and sucking the carpets out. They worked with us and our insurance company to get a claim filed and begin work to restore the house. The claim was about 20k and we began restoration work from there. It included new carpets, new toilets, bathroom tile, painting, refurbished bottom kitchen cabinets. they also sent a team to pack a lot of the house up so work can be done. I was amazed at how fast, careful, and efficient the packing team was. The project manager was in close contact with us during the process. We stayed in a hotel for 2 weeks during the repair work and the house was returned to us it great condition. I was able to choose carpet color and kitchen counter color (resurfaced) as well as new flooring in the kitchen. They only regret for me, that I don't think I could alter w/o spending more $, is the quality of the padding that was installed. The padding was thinner than before and I noticed the difference aftwards. A small issue, overall. We are very happy with the service and responsiveness of all of the people who worked with us from Stanley Restoration.

We needed someone to do the cleanup and drywall and everything and they did that. They also did the carpet installation as well and did a good job. They have a good warranty as well. It is a 20 year warranty on the roof. Everything was good and the only thing was the price. But I would recommend them.
Description of Work: I used Stanley Restoration for carpet cleaning and restoration for water damage. They did the roof and general remodeling in the living room, bedroom and bathroom.

My chimney blew off one morning at 3 in the morning. I didn't know who to call so I waited until 8 when my I could actually get a live person because I had no idea who to call. I was referred to Stanley Restoration and if you ever have anything like this happen, these are the people to call. Mia at Stanley Restoration was unbelievably helpful and immediately scheduled someone to come out and tarp the hole in my roof. The chimney blew off and landed on my fence and on top of my spa. They came out and put a tarp on the hole and set up industrial fans upstairs and downstairs to start drying out the drywall. It took a week just to dry out because a lot of water had gotten in. Then it came time to schedule the work. Jason Bell was extremely professional and punctual when coming out to access the damage for the insurance report. He was very patient and understanding especially when it came to me making some changes. His report was very detailed which helped make the insurance process go a lot smoother. I was then assigned a project manager Wendy Lewis. She was very professional, punctual and knowledgeable about managing this mess. Her and Jason made it a whole lot easier to go through this. I don't care who you use, you are going to run into glitches. That's life. Wendy and Jason were on it immediately if things weren't going to plan. I cannot thank them enough for helping me get through this. I had a lot of work done due to the damage which included replacing the roof, replacing the chimney, redoing the ceilings upstairs and downstairs, replacing the floors upstairs and downstairs. Howard was in charge of doing the roofing and I was impressed with his knowledge and professionalism when completing the roof portion. They completed the roof in such a timely manner and the quality was awesome. The roof was put up during the cold months and he explained to me that the roof would look a little funky since it wasn't hot outside for it to lay down. Once it warmed up, then the shingles would settle. I highly recommend Stanley Restoration for any project but especially if you have to go through anything like this. They even had someone help me deal with the mortgage company. Janet worked with the mortgage company which made the back end of this process go a little quicker. I really cannot thank Wendy, Jason, Howard and Janet enough for all their help. This truly was a nightmare for me when the chimney fell off and caused all this damage. I have been getting the word out to everyone about Stanley Restoration in case something like this happens to them.

CALLED STANLEY RESTORATION BECAUSE OF WATER DAMAGE. CAME OUT GAVE ESTIMATE AND STARTED IMMEDIATELY AFTER GIVEN CONSCENT. TOOK OUT WATER DAMAGED CABINETS AND REBUILT AND REFINISHED THEM. REPLACE WATER DAMAGED FLOOR. CLEANED STAINED CARPET. PAINTED AFFECTED WALLS. ALWAYS ON TIME AND ALWAYS PROFESSIONAL.

Last spring we had water damage in our bathroom. It took them six weeks to finish the work. If I never used to keep a tab on them, there would be things that they would not be doing right. There were times when they would say they would fix certain things and just would not. We are not 100% satisfied with their work. They did a lot of things that we did not like. The final result is not terrible, but it certainly is not the quality of the bathroom that they tore down. They took down the wood because there was some damage to the wood under the shower. One person did most of the work. One of the workers even brought his wife in to see our bathroom without our permission. We were just sick of it. Unless we stood there and watched them we could not trust them to do all the work. They were really nice and really accommodating, but they just did not do all the work. They only worked around 4 to 5 hours a day. They drove all the way from Desoto to Denton. On the surface their professionalism was pretty good, but we would absolutely not use them again. It was just a bad experience for us. I would also not recommend them to anybody.

They did a wonderful job! They did the most detailed and cleanest work I've ever seen. They were professional and hard working. They deodorized and cleaned every bit of the RV, including the ceiling and air ducts. They did absolutely everything that they said they would. They worked hard all day. If I could give them an A+, I would.
Description of Work: The inside of our RV had smoke damage from a burner that was left on. A mirror broke and the glue caused lots of smoke damage.

Stanley Carpet Care does outstanding work. They are very professional and come in uniforms and are very courteous and neat. These people are bonded and I know they do air duct cleaning as well as carpet cleaning. They are extremely conscious of protecting your property. Their prices are good and they come on time.
Description of Work: They cleaned 1500 square feet of carpet in my home. They lifted the furniture and put it up on Styrofoam blocks. They did get out a couple of stains as well.
