+ -1 moreThe Snyder's 2 person crew came and used the rotovac technique, I belive that is what it is called. They cleaned 4 rooms and 2 large closets. Since we have 3 dogs, I was amazed at how clean the carpets were. Additionally, it didn't take them very long at all to do the really great job on about 600 sq ft. I was surprised at how quickly they worked. The carpet was dry within less than 4 hours! I couldn't find ANY dog hair and it made the whole house smell very fresh and clean without smelling like we were covering up any odors. That was 2 months ago and the house still smells really great. I was glad that we were able to work out a mutually acceptable arrangement to 'fix' the original problem.
Description of Work: Amended 8-14-11 The manager of Snyder's called me when they got a negative review from me as below. She stated she had not gotten the message I left with her assistant. It seems he was new and still moving up the learning curve. She was very apologetic for the lapse in communication. I told her that once our furniture was out of the house we are selling they could clean the carpets there, but I didn't have 4 rooms and a hall as the special stated. Snyder's ended up cleaning 4 rooms and 2 large closets. *********************************************** Original Evaluation Approximately 5/30/11 I signed up for one of the Angie's Big Deals with Snyder's Carpet Cleaning- it was 4 rooms and a hall for a reasonable price. When I called to set an appointment they did not have any thing for 10 days to 2 weeks out. I don't know if this was because they had certain (possibly limited) slots for Big Deal customers or if they were just really busy. I didn't ask. I asked to be put on a cancelation stand-by list and was told by a gentleman that he would call me back on certain date about possible stand by openings. When I didn't hear from his I hired someone else because I didn't have time to wait around. I hope I will have the opportunity to use their services before the Big Deal coupon expires!

+ -1 moreThis was part of the Angie's List Big Deal (4bd and a hallway for $120). We had just 3 bedrooms, but 2 hallways and paid the same price.Setting up the appointment was a breeze. I talked to Brent on the phone. He was very polite, and I was able to schedule the appointment for them to come out within 2 weeks. On the morning of our 9:30 appointment, Christine called to tell me they were on their way. They arrived RIGHT on time and got started right away. They were in and out in less than an hour. They sprayed the entire carpet with some sort of stain solution, then went back over with the rotovac which uses hot water/steam. I was impressed that it took out virtually all the spots on our old carpet. Especially the hallway leading from the garage, which had several grease spots tracked in from the garage. The carpets were pretty damp when done, but I lowered the temp on the A/C and ran the ceiling fans on high, and by the end of the day they were mostly dry. I thought some of the stains might re-appear when the carpets dried but that was not the case - they still look clean! I'm very happy and would use Christine and Brent again, for sure. And both are very personable. Thank you!

+ -1 moreIt went very well overall. I totally feel the carpet is extremely clean and will use them again and highly recommend them. Just one note, be prepared to schedule them as early as possible as they are both busy and it took a week for them to come over.
Description of Work: We moved into a new house and noticed that the carpet was not clean with the previous owners having several dogs. I discussed the situation with Christine and she came over to do the deep cleaning. It took them nearly 2 hours and both Christine and Brent were very helpful in moving around some of the furniture as well.

+ -1 moreThis was an angie's list deal of the day special. I submitted my payment and contacted the provider on Thursday. They came out on Friday. They were running 1 hour behind time and I had arrived at home and they were not there. I called and she said they were about 45 minutes away (drive time) as they wrapped up previous job. When they came she explained their procedures and what to expect. I left them in the vacant home and she called me when they finished. I paid an additional $30 for stair cleaning. When I returned she walked me through home to show me the results. The carpet and floors were soak and wet. I was so glad home was vacant. We turned on the a/c unit to 69 and turned on all the ceiling fans. I came back the next day and the carpet look like it went through a washing machine. They get a grade of "A" on carpet cleaning. Now, the tile floors still did not turn out the way I would desire. I think the grout in the tile was just too dirty (to begin with) to really expect a turn around without re-grouting. I think I wasted their time and money trying to clean my dirty tile. It looked about 20% better. I think it was just too dirty to attempt to clean. They did their job but, I think the tile needs a professinal re-grout.
Description of Work: Carpet cleaned for 4 rooms, hallway, closets, and stairs in a vacant home. In addition 308sq. ft of tile cleaned, and sealed.

They told me up front what the price would be and did not add a bunch of little extra charges once they got here although one of the rooms was pretty big and the hallway included a very small sitting area. I am pleased with them and would hire them again.

Description of Work: They showed up when I expected. We reviewed work to be done. They steam cleaned whole house minus one room (per our agreement). This was a rental home, so no idea what made some of the stains, but I believe they did as good or better than one could hope for when seeking carpet cleaners.
