Sunday morning at 9:30 AM I was cleaning out the refrigerator using the garbage disposal, and my double sinks backed up. Tried the plunger and even liquid drain opener and nothing worked. Water started leaking under the cabinet from the disposal, so I knew this wasn't going to be something I could fix. . I'm in a condo on the second floor so was concerned about anything leaking into the unit below me. Called Dial One Johnson-Heritage Plumbing after reading the reviews on Angie's List and was immediately put at ease when the woman answering the phone asked me how they could make me smile today. Told her what the problem was, and within and hour or so Paul was in my home. The disposal was shot and my drain was clogged (he ran a line after replacing the disposal because the sinks were still clogged). Had to pay more because it was a Sunday, but I didn't feel comfortable waiting until Monday. The job was done well and now I know I won't have to worry about that happening again any time soon!

Went well, finally got the issue fixed after having 2 previous plumbers from other companies who could not do not the job. Excellent service.

They handled issues that came up; the installer was courteous and conscientious; and all customer service was exceptional

James explained all my options, showed me how much each one would cost, and explained the benefits and drawbacks of each. He dealt with the little 'hiccups' along the way that come with an older home. I always felt that I knew what he was doing, what would happen, and how much it would cost. (I used an Angie's List coupon - $124 for $200 of work. The cost was the coupon plus $141.)

It worked out great. It cost me another $150 on top of the big deal which was good. I didn't have any worst part. They showed up when they said they were going to show up. They came in and inspected it, seeing what you had to do then went to work. What these other places charge you to come in and do the work, the pricing was fine.

The plumbing tech was ver good and polite. Customer service and communication was not a problem - the problem is the outrageous prices even with an Angie's list "Coupon". Just for a small install of a 1/3 HP disposal that took only ONE hour to install they charged me $400!! And that was after admitting the the initial price of $479 that I was quoted was incorrect!! Be very careful when selecting them as a contractor.

It was okay. I paid a lot extra. I know it was a little overcharged but I just wanted it done. They would get a higher grade if they were very open, upfront and clearly indicating the itemization of what you are actually paying for. That would be my main thing. I didn't have problems with the quality of work.

Plumbing company E-mailed me and told me I was "Out of his service area" and he would not be honoring the "Deal"....No where in his promotion is a service area listed! Because I had only replacement fixtures and a sink faucet replacement, not a high dollar plumbing job , I felt that he didn't think it was worth making the effort . He told ME to contact Angie's list for a refund...isn't it his responsibility to reverse the charge? I honored my part, I paid in ADVANCE... if he didn't want the job he should be honest and say why . His e-mail was polite and friendly but the result is the same , I will have to find another plumber to do the job AND try and get my money refunded. ...not a positive experience

Beginning to end, completely professional.

I scheduled the day off so I can be available for the installation of my dishwasher. Initially it was going to be installed by Home Depot, but they looked at my fitting said it was compression then left. They didn't tell me exactly what i needed, but I knew I needed a plumber and had a dishwasher in the middle of my kitchen. Dial One Johnson-Heritage Plumbing heard what kind of trouble I was in and tried to make it so I didn't have to take another day off. They put me on an urgent care list which was really great. They were very empathetic to my situation which which was awesome. Unfortunately they were not sure if they were able to fit me in the day of the incident so I had to go with someone that definitely could schedule me. Regardless, the customer care was great and I don't think that should go unnoticed.

Did a great Job, professional, will use again.

I purchased a coupon for $200 service. Once he came to the house the provider gave me a quote and told me the price. I felt that it was very high, considering it was only two faucets, but I was kind of stuck considering I had already paid $120 for the coupon. The entire time I wondered if i was being swindled since the company already knew I was invested in their service so they felt they could give me any price they wanted. The provider was very friendly and courteous, but I did not like the coupon system for the reason previously stated.

As I write this review, I find it hard to believe myself. My wife had started running bath water and a piece broke off the plastic faucet knob when she attempted to turn off the water. Of course, this was about 11:30 at night and the water was running into the bath tub. I could not get the plastic knob off myself to turn off the water. I logged into Angie's list to find a 24hr plumber. I contacted Dial One Johnson Plumbing. The person answering the phone was very cordial and said she would dispatch a plumber and the service charge would be $67.00. The first problem was the plumber came from a town about 20 miles away. Well, I felt I had no other choice at the time. Approximately 30 minutes later (as my water continues to run), the plumber arrives. He has no difficulty in removing the plastic knob and turning off the water. He then says he may have a replacement in his truck. He leaves and shortly returns with a replacement. He then tells me he will only charge me $295.00 to replace the plastic faucet knob. I thought I must have misheard him, so I held up the knob and asked if he was telling me he was going to charge $295.00 to replace the plastic faucet knob I was holding. He confirmed. I asked if I had him do nothing more than he had already done, what would be the charge, He said I would only pay the $67.00 service call fee. After informing him I did not believe that it could possibly cost that much to replace the faucet knob, I paid him the $67.00 and he left. Since the water was no longer running I waited a few days and then called a local plumbing supply and purchased the faucet for less than $10 and replaced it myself. I am still in shock!

Very well. Signed up for annual service.

The company was professional, called me to let me know plumber was on the way, he showed up on time, plumber was great. The problem was the outrageous cost! I needed: replace leaking faucet in tub, replace toilet flush valve and flapper (for which I had already bought the kit) and to hook up my new dishwasher (and I didn't need it hauled away as I am donating it to charity). The quote for those 3 things was $950! Yes, you read that right, $950! Since I had bought a deal for $124 for $200 worth of work, I went ahead and had him redo the faucet in the tub. I paid a total of $289 for this because I had a coupon. Otherwise it would have been $365. Initially, I was excited to use this company as it touts itself as being woman owned. But, as a single woman homeowner, I have to say I was disappointed in the outcome. I can't recommend this company unless you are wealthy and cost is not a factor for you; needless to say, I won't be using them again. There are other reviews that say the similar thing, unfortunately, I bought the deal AND THEN read the reviews, lol.

fantastic and very professional

Contacted Dial One to conduct a pressure test to see if I had a water leak prior to starting remodeling project. This is the second time that I have used. Good experience both time. Brian was the technician on the pressure test. He was very helpful and professional. I would definitely use them again.

The wax ring was busted, and so these guys removed the entire toilet and fixed everything. Now it works great!

Very prompt service but extremely expensive. Quote of $105 to cut open wall to assess problem. After problem was located, quote of over $500 to repair. I thought this was way too much for 15 min worth of work. However the only option at that point was to pay for the repair or $155 for the service call and breaking into the wall. I would not recommend due to their prices. Look elsewhere

Not great, way too expensive. Just fixed one broken toilet flush & charged for fixing kitchen clogging issue but not sure what fix they did it is still an issue. Not worth the money.

Everything about the service was great except the price. Seemed too high for the hour that the project took to complete.

It went perfectly from start to finish. First we spoke to Michelle Johnson after working hours about setting up the job, she called us back from home to work out the time they would come out on a rush job to run the camera through our plumbing while our driveway was torn out. It needed to take place within one day (we thought at the time). It was an extreme rush job and they handled it impeccably. Nick Buckman showed up today with Brian Hill to run the camera. Nick is the one who mentioned that while he was here it might be a good idea to check the pipe under the house which we had not even thought of. One of our neighbors had a leak under their house and we are so grateful that he suggested doing it. Then Nick adjusted our double flushing toilet for a very little amount. He was most generous with his time and expertise, volunteering information which shed light on ways of looking at our issues here at the house that we had not thought of. We felt very good about him being in our home and now knowing him for future jobs. Again thank you Angies list for having such reputable businesses for us to choose from.

I'm trying to be fair in my review. They were very responsive and showed up on time. They charge $49 to come out and give you a quote, you pay this regardless, it was not applied to work performed. Others offer this for free to Angie's List customers (hint). To run a small auger through the toilet brought the total to $161, but it failed. If ti worked, it would have been more, so it was nice they dropped the price. It would have been $275 if it had worked, which I think is high for a 10 minute job. Next they quoted an additional $403 to remove the toilet, run a power auger and replace the toilet. I thought this was a bit outlandish. I know plumbers have a reputation of being like brain surgeons, they charge you based on how badly you need it. In this case, he was already here and had already changed us $161 so now we are getting to $565 for a clogged toilet, maybe an hour work max. I called the office later to complain. They were very nice and the office manager called and the service manager called the next day. While they defended their pricing, they were professional and courteous. In the future I will be leery of providers who charge me just to give an estimate. I believe it creates an incentive to buy at inflated prices since you've already committed money to them. They also would not quote me any price estimates over the phone, this is a red flag. Others quoted a range, like $150 to $250, but needed to see it to provide an exact quote, which I think is reasonable. I have no complaints with the quality of their work or responsiveness, so I would recommend them on that front. They may not be the cheapest but I'm sure they can get the job done. Note: I found someone else to successfully perform the service for $205 with a free home call and estimate.
