Dial One Johnson Plumbing, Cooling, and Heating

Came to the bathroom door, had a quick look went back to his van called his boss and came back with a quote of 258 to change a toilet (which I had brought) already. Do not use these people unless you want to be quoted for random pricing from a firm who is aiming to make mega bucks from hard working families.

The service was very professional, efficient, and courteously performed. I will definitely use them again.

The fellow arrived on time; analyzed the problem to my satisfaction; discussed three solutions to the leak; completed the job very quickly and cleanly once I agreed to the fix. Best plumber experience I ever had.

James arrived on time and was super nice. We had an Angies List deal for a $99 tankless water heater flush as well a whole house safety inspection. Everything went great. I didn't realize the plumbing inspection was really just looking for leaks, which had just been done with our home inspection when we bought the house, but at least everything was double checked. Peace of mind. James also tried to address a smell coming from our shower drain and removed some clogged hair. Unfortunately the smell is still there, so it must be another issue. This cost us an extra $161. I'll call and see if there is something else we can do since that didn't fix the issue.

I had used Dial One on a previous occasion for a minor repair and they did a decent job so I called them again for a much larger job. This new job included unclogging an outdoor drain, a shower drain, and servicing two Rinnai hot water heaters. The technician showed up at my house in the early A.M. reeking of cigarette smoke and looking like he had a really hard night! As he was not here to consult with me on estate planning services I let his disheveled appearance slide and showed him what needed to be done. He proceeded to tell me over and over what a nice house he thought we had (always makes me nervous when people start seeing dollar signs) and just how laborious these tasks would be. After all the build up what came next was not a total surprise. He hit me with a $1,350 estimate for the work which would only end up taking 4 hours to complete. I told him I would be getting other bids and showed him and his cigarette odor to the door. Of course I had to pay him $70 for a trip charge and the pleasure of his company for the half hour he was here. I called another plumbing company, they sent a two man team out and knocked out the work to my total satisfaction in about 2 hours. My cost was $575.00 total. I think part of the lesson here is that even if a company does a good job once you still have to keep them honest. It is also a lesson in "opportunistic pricing" where a service provider assumes money does not matter to you just because you live in a nice home. Dial One will be well down my list the next time I need a plumber.

They were on time, they came the same day when I called.They were clean, they let me know what they were going to do and gave me two quotes.

He did a great job and I told him my shower was barely trickling and he fixed it without charging for it.

Service from the moment of scheduling all the way to the repair was done in a friendly and satisfactory manner. The plumber was courteous and honest about what needed to be done and the cost.

I was very happy with Dial One. Now that you mention it I did not provide any feedback, they had so many good ones, so I thought why take the time. I had them out here twice. The guy that came was James but he was really good. He is a young fellow, really appropriate, worked really good and cleaned up. Just everything you would want in a vendor was Dial one. Just absolutely top grade. I am 72 years old and I have used a lot of plumbers through the years. And there are some that are more expensive than Dial One and there are some that are less expensive than Dial One, so I would say they are probably in my way of thinking middle of the road, which is probably a good place to be for them. You couldn't ask for a better vendor. We have got 5 married daughters and 3 of them have already used Dial One.

I called Dial One on a Friday to set up an appointment for a spigot and pool water valve in my back yard that were leaking. I explained that it wasn't an emergency, but that I am not able to take days off of work to be here Monday through Friday. They were able to schedule something the next day (Saturday) with a reasonable window (11am-2pm) to come out and give me an estimate and make the repair. James was the plumber who arrived for my service call. He showed up ~11:15am - which is amazing, I rarely ever have contractors arrive on time, let alone within the first 15 minutes of the scheduled window. He was able to quickly recognize the issue and informed me that he would be able to fix the issue by simply tightening a packing nut and a vacuum breaker. I do not know anything about plumbing at all, but he explained to me exactly what their purpose was. In the end, James was able to get my leak fixed in ~15 minutes without replacing any parts - which would have run upwards of ~$300-$500 if necessary. He was a consummate professional and friendly to boot. I was pleasantly surprised by the service and would definitely use Dial One again!

The tech, who had been to my house for an issue a couple of years ago, was polite, professional, and frank. They have an up front pricing policy, which I really appreciate. He showed me all of the costs, and gave me the "over/under" of sorts. He told me what was going to happen for sure, and what the potential complications were, and explained very thoroughly all of the precautions he would take to prevent those complications if at all possible. He worked really hard to make sure he kept the costs as low as possible while still doing a thorough job. When one of the repaired toilets clogged up a week later and backed up into the tub lines, he came out that same day for no charge to make sure that there was nothing wrong with the repair he'd done. I have oddly aligned plumbing in those bathrooms, so it was just a coincidence as far as we can tell, but it was a relief to have him respond so quickly and at no charge.

Company did everything they said they would do and did it when they said they would do it. Office kept me informed of when to expect serviceman, and afterword advised me of when the plumbing inspector had told them he would arrive (2 hour range). Simple, hassle free experience.

The plumber did a good job repairing the problem. I would use them again.

I called and setup an appointment and let them know that I had to be somewhere by 10:30 the day of the appointment and asked if they would be early or late and that is when they informed that they would get out to me first thing in the morning. The day of the appointment I received a call at 10:15 stating that no one was coming due to the technician being sick. I waited around for them in the morning and did not receive a call until I was to leave the house.

He was extremely prompt, professional and fair.

It was great. I remember the guy that came was great and he fixed the issue. It was a little expensive but then again a lot of them are so I am going to say it was reasonable.

The company was very good about contacting me when technician was in route. James W. arrived on time and after looking over the situation he provided a detailed cost breakdown. I authorized the work and he began. While the installation initially went smoothly a series of events related to other equipment on my property caused complications. James was very good about working through them. Unfortunately, one of the pair of new heaters provided to be defective. He and the lead plumber Steven returned the next day to look over the leak situation Steven quickly confirmed the problem and authorized removal and install of another new one. That second tank arrived and upon opening the carton (which showed no visible damage) unfortunately was indeed badly damaged. Without a moments hesitation James W. placed it back in this truck and went for yet another on. Finally, all was completed and the site left clean. Unfortunately, Steven the master plumber, was to research how both tanks could be cross-connected and if possible we could eliminate a third 75 gallon heater also in need of replacement . He said he needed a few days to think about it. By the second week of not hearing anything I was annoyed at getting emails asking me to review them. In week four of non-response I contracted with another firm and had the 75 gallon tank quickly replaced. When I received yet another email about reviewing them...I did. Within just a few minutes an office manger contacted me to express her concerns Suggestion to other customers: Have any follow-up documented on the invoice so there is a paper trail. The plumber was very helpful and nice. Service wise I have no complaitns btu it seems the price was substantially higher than as if I would have contracted another company. I had a coupon from Angie's List I prepaied and it seems they adjust the price according to the coupon. Next time I won't get the coupon and I have the feelign the price will be more acceptable.

Dial One was fabulous about scheduling an appointment with me the day my plumbing situation happened. James introduced himself and put on booties before entering the house. He quoted me a price prior to doing any work. After the work was complete he showed me and let the water run for awhile to make sure I was satified. Then he asked if I would like to take advantage of their free home inspection of all plumbing for leaks and out of date, etc. I appreciated this because I new my shower and toilet needed to be fixed, and he gave me great information about my aging water heater, all without trying to make a deal with me that day. I would for sure use them again!

It went very well. The technician was very professional. They got in and got out. They did a good job. The hot water from the old water heater had an odor. I bought a coupon to send them out and do the service. In coming out and doing the inspection, that's when we realized that it's time for a new water heater. They were competitive.
