Tim did an outstanding job of cleaning our chimney! He was very thorough and did the best job of any chimney sweep company we've hired! Highly recommend!

Was extremely impressed with David. He showed up on time, got to work right away and did the most thorough sweep we've ever had done. He removed the gas fireplace logs and embers, etc. and put it all back together, better than it was before. For the first time in three seasons since turning our wood burning FP into a gas log FP the flames were bigger and whiter. He made the FP look better than ever. He did a thorough inspection and was careful and cleaned up everything. He was also very polite. I will always call this company for our sweeping/dryer needs!

OK. A little longer than I expected. WIsh they had replacement caps ready to go instead of having to modify mine.

Cleaned mounds of lint from dryer vent. Checked chimney and said it was clean already so not necessary. Very honest. Didn't overcharge when we would've never known. For that reason alone, will only use them in the future.

The manager returned my call promptly and we set up an appointment for two days later. The sweep, David, arrived on time and got to work. The job was done efficiently and effectively, with no messes left or things out of place. Great job!

Really great service. Tim & David were prompt and efficient. Combining the 2 services in one trip during fireplace off-season resulted in discounted pricing. Our 16 year old gas log fireplace now looks brand new (firebox and logs completely cleaned, grate painted, new embers). Tim even pointed out an installation problem where the logs/grate could not properly be placed far enough back in the firebox to be directly under the chimney itself so fumes were likely not entirely being drafted 100% outside of the house. He replaced the gas fixture to one with an elbow so that the logs could sit back farther. We highly recommend this company!

Oh my goodness, I am so happy! Today was the best chimney service I've ever had. I found Mr. Wyatt here on Angie's List a couple of days ago, and was thrilled to get an appointment so fast. Turns out that I was lucky enough to have scheduled in September while it's still considered the off-season, because it sounds like his book gets filled fast during the main season of October through January. I moved into my new house last winter, and was so busy I had neglected the very important task of getting the fireplaces serviced. We have one woodburning (gas starter) and one with gas logs, and only used them each a couple of times over the winter, but could still smell "damp soot" at times during the spring and summer. Mr. Wyatt found some VERY dirty chimneys, so now we know why. Over the course of five hours (I told you they were in bad shape) Mr. Wyatt and his helper (1) cleaned the nasty woodburning chimney and firebox, cleaned the grate and drilled more holes in the gas pipe for proper flame distribution; (2) cleaned the gas log chimney that happened to be filled with bird droppings and other detritus, cleaned the completely blackened logs and firebox, set everything back up with brand new sand/gravel/embers in an artistic manner; (3) installed a new chimney cover; (4) sold me a nice brass damper puller and a cool iron one; (5) cleaned my dryer vent, did a repair on an area that a previous contractor screwed up, and extended the dryer vent pipe that was partially venting INTO THE ATTIC!! Because I was doing a lot of work I got a discounted deal, but the regular pricing feels fair as well. Did I mention that Mr. Wyatt showed up on time and in a tophat? He was a fun guy to have around for half of a day.

He wasn't able to fix either one of the fireplaces. He was able to find the pilot light but he isn't able to fix an electronic fireplace. Instead he recommended another technician and the manufacturer of the fireplace.

Tim arrived on time and introduced himself. First task was to lay down drop cloths to ensure nothing got dirty. Always a good sign. He then proceeded to clean the chimney and thoroughly inspect it. He also made recommendations on what kind of gas logs to use. I would highly recommend Tim and his chimney sweep services.

I called and left a message with English Chemistry Svc indicating my needs. Mr. Wyatt called me back the following week. He explained everything he would do and an estimate of what it would cost, depending on the size of the cap I would need. He arrived on time and discovered that I actually only needed a screen and not a cap, so the price was lower than expected. He pointed out things about my fireplace that did not need additional work done, but he wanted to make me aware. He did an awesome job cleaning up and putting things back where they were around the fireplace. I am pleased with English Sweep's service and will definitely use for future chimney and dryer vent needs.

Mr. Wyatt showed up promptly at 9 am and immediately began putting down drop cloths. He made very sure to keep the area clean. He explained in detail what he was going to do, and when partway through the job he realized he needed to change materials, he made sure I knew exactly what was changing and why. The whole job took about 2 hours, and the price was extremely reasonable. I would definitely call him again.

He educated us on the best way too maintain the fireplace. Many dos and don'ts with a smile. Did a great job of cleaning up afterwards.

It went well. The provided had installed a chimney cap for me a few years ago. Recently, water has been entering the chimney and I asked the provider to check the chimney cap and crown as I had some tree limbs removed and thought they might have disturbed the cap in the process. The provider checked on the situation and reported that he thought the flashing had failed at the juncture of the roof and chimney. He suggested we call a roofer and provided contact info for one, for reference.

Everything went great. Very knowledgeable person. Also , efficient in his use of time.

Lower than other quotes. Where the bricks were coming apart. Was on time, gave estimate. Did it right then and there. Repaired inside the flue. Fireplace was pulling away from walls so he did the repair. Weren't fitting tightly, did grouting. Cleaned it. Couple of hours. Very pleasant, very nice guy. I got him off Angie's List. All work was performed in an efficient way. He really knows what he Is doing and has been doing it for a long time. I highly recommend him. He has also done great work for my friends.
