Raindango Design and Remodeling

The service was excellent. they were very professional and polite. They did painting, plumbing and did a lot of stuff but the communications could have been a little stronger. I have already recommended them to other people. They have a interest in doing the work properly.

They are great! We plan on using them for our remodel, but we had a delay with the funding, which put us back several months. They are super responsive and super helpful. They have financing available in case we run out of cash, and their pricing was much lower than any of the other quotes we received. We'll have more to share once we actually get the work done.

Paid for professional painting. What I got was sloppy, lazy and no attention to detail. Tile and floor work was exceptional, but the painters sent to my house were just laborers, NOT professional painters. I was not happy with the etiquette shown as we lived in the home (only had half of the interior rooms painted) while the work was performed. Examples; cleaned out paintbrushes on my trees, left gum stuck on my kitchen table (room not being painted), left their lunch on my bedroom dresser (bedroom not painted), and cleaned or cut sheetrock/paint/glue with my kitchen knife. . My "project manager" was nowhere to be found for all but about 15 minutes for the whole week they were there (until it was time to collect a check on the last day). Not terrible, but would not recommend.

The quality of this work was very good. I love my built it so much. All the other work was great. The workers were super pleasant. Mike Mitchell was super pleasant to deal with also. Here are my only complaints. I wish they would give you a timetable on when to expect the workers. They just show up out of the blue. I have had several things done to my home and this was so weird to me. But I feel this was probably due to my second complaint. If I would do business with this company again it would be minus the project manager Alan. He never even came to our home until the project was almost complete which I found very short sighted. Then when we had a minor mistake that needed to be corrected he was very rude to me. As if I didn't know what I was talking about. Turns out I was right and it was a mistake but he definitely didn't use the customers is always right rule. And I got a half hearted apology. So if you do work with them request a different project manager and you will have a great project experience.

The guys were pleasant, courteous, upfront, and professional. The only possible criticism I could have would be with a lack of communication from me to the project manager to the workers. Once I brought it to their attention, they handled it and things went well after that. I will be using them again.

They took longer than they estimated. They did okay work.

This was the largest remodeling project I have been involved in and Raindango! pulled it off perfectly. They removed the popcorn ceiling, installed hardwood floors, 3 windows, 2 doors and a designer kitchen. Cole's design was picture perfect. They did everything from exterior siding, brickwork, and painting, new quartz countertops, cabinets and lighting. I even have a custom made island and office area. Management and crews were highly responsive and on time with everything. I am very impressed with the quality of the materials used and the craftsmanship of the installers. We came in on budget and a week earlier than expected. This is a very trustworthy team of professionals. I highly recommend Raindango! for any size project.

The job started with Mike Mitchell in June coming to our house to take measurements and provide us a quote to perform the following work. The job was a complete demo of the existing master bathroom, including bathtub, shower enclosure, cabinets, vanity, mirror, and flooring. They also took down one existing wall and a large window that was above the tub area. Mike was very professional and took details down and measurements. Within about 3 days we had a very detailed quote that broke down every part of the job from demo, tiling, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry. The quote also detailed exactly what we would have to purchase and what Raindango would purchase. After meeting with several other contractors and making slight changes to what we wanted quoted after getting inputs from several of the contractors providing their ideas and quotes, we ultimately went with Raindango. Their price was very competitive and their reviews were also very good. We had a start-up meeting with Mike Mitchell and our project manager, Alan. During the meeting we discussed a basic timeline and choices for granite, cabinets, flooring, and colors. The initial phase went very quickly and within 6-7 days they had everything done with demo, roughed in the new walls, and built the new shower enclosure. After the initial week, the project did go a little slower than we expected as they started tiling, and cabinet installation. There were a few miscommunications between Alan and his crews performing the work, and some of those miscommunications resulted in them having to rework some parts of the job. However, they were always willing to fix anything that we were not 100% happy with on the job. Some of these miscommunications might have been avoided with a more detailed meeting prior to starting the work. Ultimately, we have an absolutely fabulous master bathroom. Their quality of work is extremely good and they were very professional at all times. I have used many contractors over the past 20 years in various states. I also know I am very hard to please because I always seem to look at the smallest details of any job. I can say without any reservations that Raindango met all my expectations on the final product of our bathroom. In addition, they were the best group of contractors I have ever used with their daily clean-up. They took away trash every day and cleaned up their areas. They always had fresh paper down on our floor so their crews could walk through the house and not make up any of our floors. At the end of the project, they fully cleaned up the outside area where they had performed all their mixing and tile cutting for the job. It was great to find a contractor that does all aspects of a job well. We have already asked them to quote several smaller jobs that we want done in the near future.

They were outstanding. I have used them twice and I plan on using them again. It was very nice. They did a nice job. Excellent workmanship and excellent customer service. We were very satisfied of the quality of the work in relation to the charge. The results were excellent.

Absolutely incredible ! Couldn't be happier. From the time Tracy, the estimator, came on the first appointment, through completion of the project, everything went so smoothly. Attention to detail was impressive! I was worried about the demo mess, however, they put up plastic sheeting barriers and by the time I came home from work the first day, everything was demolished, removed and the mess cleaned up. Tracy and Alan, the project manager, were there regularly to make sure everything was done according to our specifications and in a timely manner. Both Tracy and Alan offered great suggestions when we had questions. The crews - tile, plumbing, electrical, carpentry & painting - were very professional and knowledgeable of their craft. Our master bath turned out better than we could have imagined. We love it ! We have definitely found our home remodeling company !

I got 4 quotes from contractors and chose Raindango mainly because of the detail Mike put into his quote and his pleasant, down-to-earth approach. Alan, the project manager, and his crews worked very hard to make sure we were happy. And they completed the entire kitchen remodel in just a little over 3 weeks! We love our new kitchen! We plan to use Raindango again for other projects in our home.

Sent message through angieslist, received a message to call them. Called them, set up an appointment, also sent a reminder message the day before. Today's the appointment day, took morning off from work for this, but no one showed up. Waited 40mins and called them to see what's going on and they said I will have to pick another day. Thus 'F' for punctuality and professionalism.

Mike Mitchell provided an itemized estimate for our bathroom remodel. He was knowledgable and very professional and courteous. We had 5 estimates and, regretfully, chose another company because of pricing and sooner availability. For future remodeling projects, we would definitely consider this company again.

They were great, awesome! We are very impressed. There was not any dust anywhere. Amazing! They are very good!

Project went very smoothly and professionally. Tile layers were very conscientious doing an excellent job! We used tile that looks like reclaimed wood and they laid it with no grout line making it look just like hardwood flooring. I have had several people not believe me that it is tile. All workers were very friendly, polite, and clean. This is the second project Raindango! has done for me and I have had a great experience both times. Everyone is very friendly and responsive. They followed up after giving a bid on the project making it seem like they really want the business. Constant follow-up during project to make sure it was going just like I wanted it to. When there was a little hiccup, they were very quick to respond and got it fixed immediately. I have and would definitely recommend them to anybody that asked. I would also use them for any future projects I may have. A first-rate company that does excellent work!

This was a positive experience from the get go. Raindango was not the lowest bidder, but after looking on Angie's List I went with them because of the positive reviews. The project manager (Allen) was always professional and there to answer any questions I had. The only delays were because I had change orders and new ideas. The kitchen is absolutely beautiful and I have received so many compliments. Next they will be gutting my master bath...and installing new cabinets. If you are looking for a honest, professional contractor, look no further.

Very professional staff, very efficient, price was lower than any other quoted amount and they did a fantastic job. They even stayed late one night until I got home due to a heavy storm to ensure my house didn't get flooded due to issues with the house they weren't working on. Great firm overall and already starting to think of additional services to use them for next year.

I was looking to remodel my guest bathroom and replace some flooring. Mike came out for the initial estimate. My intention was to keep the bathroom layout the same but Mike offered some helpful suggestions about how the layout could be improved without a lot of additional cost. He later emailed me a detailed quote laying out the cost of the labor and materials. The Raindango quote was comparable to my other offers. I decided to use Raindango because of Mike?s layout suggestions and the thoroughness of his quote. I later met with Alan, the project manager, and we went over all the work to be done. Alan offered several suggestions, which I found very helpful, about how to improve the project. We must have had some miscommunication regarding the start date. Several days before the scheduled start date I received a morning call saying they were on their way to my house. I was thrilled that they could start earlier than expected, but since it was unexpected it put me in a bind having to obtain all the needed materials. Also had some mis-communications about what floors would be done on what day. I felt they could have kept me better informed about what would be done each day. Although in fairness to them I was super busy during this time and unable to keep in as close of touch as I would have liked. Other than these miscommunications I was very pleased with the work. The bathroom and flooring all look great! Mike and Alan?s suggestions really improved the layout of the bathroom. All the workers really seemed to take the time to make sure things were done right. Now the project did last a few days longer than expected, but I don?t mind that if it means getting things done right. Also, I know a couple surprises came up that slowed them down. I am very happy with the way everything turned out and would definitely consider Raindango for any future projects.

They were a no show for the initial date of the consult. I wouldn't really be upset but today (Wednesday) is my day to wake up late and go to work late. But we made an appointment to meet at 9am to meet this Wednesday. To my surprise, they never showed up. I waited around for more than an hour while i could have been sleeping. If you don't even show up to the initial consult, I don't believe they'll show up on time to actually do the project --- just my 2 cents. Update 5/29/2014 My girlfriend received a voicemail this morning from one of the managing partners. In a threatening demeanor, he urge us to remove this negative review. In short they said that they DID call to confirm. I will agree that they did call her based on the phone logs but it was at 8:45 am when they called and my appointment was 9am. Who calls 15 minutes before an appointment when obviously it takes at least 30 minutes to get anywhere in Dallas. On top of that, they did not leave a message for her to tell me that they could not make it or that they were late. Why not leave a message? My girlfriend is not at liberty to pick up personal phone calls at her work place. She had advised the scheduler to call me instead when we first scheduled a few days ago. And why call 15 minutes before to confirm the meeting when every business i know confirm the day before? I also need to stress that this appointment with Raindango prevented us from keeping an appointment with another contractor, thus delaying our renovation. In summary, based further on that voicemail, I wish i could give them a lower score based on the lack of their professionalism.

My home is about 35 years old and my bathroom was so outdated. The whole bathroom was basically redone, everything is new. We even converted our tub to a walk-in shower. After it was finished, I just kept going back to look at it because it looked so amazing. We were also impressed with the ideas/suggestions we were given. They were quick to respond to any questions I had. I have referred this contractor to my friends.

The crew were fast and courteous. Tracy was very upfront on what he could do and the best way to do it.

Tracy came out on time and went through all of our option for the remodeling. He was very professional and courteous. He emailed me a very detailed estimate that very night. Although I ended up going with different company for the projet, i was impressed by their professionalism.

Alan from Raindango came out and evaluated the area(s) to be painted and discussed paint options with me. I had previously only used a particular manufacturer's high-end paint that this company would be willing to use-but it was not one that they were able to get at a discount. They recommended a less expensive but equally as good paint that would provide the low VOC that I required and the coverage that I desired. I agreed to try their recommendation-smart decision! The day of the work went without a hitch, the painters were pleasant, professional, asked relevant questions and involved me when necessary to ensure that I would be satisfied with their work. Alan arrived with the painters to go over what was to be painted, and came back near the end of the day to ensure their work met my expectations and his! He even noticed something that I would have discovered later-but with his trained eye-noticed immediately and had them correct. They even went the extra mile to put up a challenging curtain rod-that was taken down to paint the complete area-instead of painting around the hardware. I would definitely use them again!

Andy and his crews were better than I could possibly imagine. There were actually 3 crews, the painters paint, the floor crew lay the floor and the third crew moved furniture. Andy did an exceptional job in scheduling his people so there was never any dead time and on many days there were more than one crew there. What impressed me the most was the professionalism of all his workers in getting the job done right, the condition they left my home every day when they left (they cleaned their materials as if the job was done) and the punctuality of everyone. They came when they said they would and the day was over when they said it would be. They also respected my home and took care to reduce as much as possible the dust created and exceeded my expectations. Finally, it was the leadership with Andy. He was at my home every day, making sure everything was done to my satisfaction and he was never afraid to jump in and correct something he thought was not just right. I would without hesitation highly recommend Raindango nor would I hesitate to use them again.
