My son took my '95 Lawn-Boy in because it was not getting fuel. He told them the carb was replaced last year. All I wanted done was: 1.) Check that the carb doesn't have something stuck or clogged jet 2.) Sharpen the blade. 2 weeks and 3 days later they finally call my son with a $100 labor + parts quote for a TUNE UP!!! That?s NOT what he asked for!!!! Said it needed a new spark plug and air cleaner despite the fact he checked the spark plug (absolutely fine) and the air cleaner is brand new!!! Keep in mind he stated that the carburetor was replaced last year which consists of two screws. $100 labor to remove a carburetor held on with two screws? The guy then has the nerve to tell my son the blade wasn't sharpened because it wasn't on the work order! It was clearly written on the copy of the work order I have. My son is a classic car guy, a hobbyist mechanic. He has rebuilt V8's, so he knows his way around a motor. I just thought we could save time by taking it to Mower Medic. This place is the exact reason why my husband taught my son how to work on his own cars because a lot of mechanics treat people like idiots. I can just imagine (because I'm a "dumb" woman) if I had taken it in instead of my grown son. Mower Medic can keep my $25, I?ll take that loss as a learning experience so next time I know to just do it myself or get my son to do the work.

First of all, let me be clear. Mower Medic used to be the best place in the Dallas to take a broken lawn mower. However, since the new owner (Kevin) took over, there is no customer support or quality of workmanship. If you call, you get a recording during normal business hours and nobody calls you back. The manager is very cocky and has no customer service skills. The mechanic does as little as possible to get your equipment out. I am tired of getting ripped off by this company. Just this year I have had two mowers, a rider and push mower serviced, to the tune of $400. Neither job was done properly, and both mowers were broke down again within 60 days. I was quoted a and quot;not to exceedand quot; price of $150 on my rider, only to have it come in at $340. Then, to top that off, they put the wrong deck back on. I had my deck redone last year for $750 (mower medic) and now someone else has my new deck on their mower, and I've got their worn out, yard scalping deck on mine. I will not use mower medic again. After using them for 25 years, I will give my future repairs to Ed's. I might pay more but at least they have someone to answer the phone when I call.

Have used Mower Medic in the past. Like then, the work was performed in a timely manner and both machines run like a charm.
