I called Dana Hilliard because the A/C that cools the bedrooms was making a loud noise. They sent someone who charged me a hefty sum to replace the motor. But now that unit is not cooling as well as it used to. So I called again and explained. Hilliard said all his trucks were out and that he would call me back. Several days went by and no call. So I called back and he said he may have misunderstood when he said he’d send someone round but I should set up the fan and check the air ducts??? But he refused to send anyone round even after I explained that the system was just not cooling like before. He said he would call me back to follow up but he never did. So I called again a week later. This time he claimed he misunderstood me again and that this time I should go out to the back and check the system myself. That’s when I thanked him and told him I’d find someone else to do the job he wasn’t willing to complete. I’ve been with this company for almost 10 years. I can’t believe the poor service I have received as a loyal customer. Something has changed with this business. Sad to say I won’t be doing business with them anymore.

Dana and his sons are beyond excellent. Would not use anyone else. Responsive, quick and honest. They specialize in Lennox, who is not cheap. I would not have Lennox if not for Hillard standing behind it. Lennox is too expensive for the mediocre warranty. But if that is what Hillard sells and services, then that's what I will buy. Hillard rates an 11 on a scale of 1 to 10.

As always...beyond excellent. Dana's staff (including his marvelous sons) are THE most professional, kind, and caring folks I've ever met. NOBODY has ever given such great service. They have been my go-to folks for over 25 years, and, in all that time, I've never ever had a complaint! They are awesome, always!

My upstairs AC unit quit working on the afternoon of July 10, 2014. I was out of town and my wife didn't notice the problem until after 7PM as she was busy downstairs. I called another AC company that offered 24/7 service repair to come out and inspect my system which is 2 units both 15 years old. After changing out the capacitor and being told that my condenser was not coming on, it was understood that I needed to replace my entire upstairs system. I received a quote from that company for almost $11,000 on a 14 SEER unit. Because I am not an expert on this type of purchase, I told that company that I would be getting 3-4 quotes for the system to ascertain whether or not I was making an informed decision. Through a source I learned about Dana Hilliard and Hilliard Heating and Air Conditioning first thing on 7/11/2014 and left a message. My next call was to my bank to secure financing for the new unit. While I was on the phone with my bank Dana Hilliard called me and was wanting to come out and look at my AC system and implored me not to make any decision until his technician came out. Even before I was off the phone with my back, Hilliard's technician, Scott Caldwell, was in my yard inspecting my system. The first thing he found was that the other company's technician had removed my old capacitor and did not replace it. So, Scott retrieved a capacitor from his truck and put it on my unit. My compressor immediately started working and blowing cold air upstairs. He added an additional 3lbs of coolant to my system and I was good to go. So instead of writing an $11,000 check for a new unit that appears now to be totally inappropriate, I paid Hilliard $210 for the quick response and fix of my existing system. I didn't name the other company because I do not have any proof that I was intentionally being conned. However, I would strongly suggest to anyone who is told that their AC unit needs to be replaced, that they step back, take a deep breath and get multiple bids and diagnoses on their AC unit. And, ALWAYS, call Dana Hilliard and his company and request Scott Caldwell if he is available. I cannot stress how grateful I am to this company. I have found my AC company for all future repairs.

hard working, good technician missed bad start capacitor and as such unit failed the next day.

Dana and his assistant were prompt and we had a new A/C by the end of the day.

I called and got a same day appointment. He arrived on time and did a complete check out of the furnace. Fixed the problem and left a bill for me to mail in. I have used this company for at least 10 years. Always had great service. He one time helped me diagnose the problem over the phone without a service visit. Who does that anymore?

I will use them again in the future if needed.

I left a message at around 7:45 Saturday morning My phone call was promptly returned at 8:00 am Service was scheduled for that day Technician arrived on time and called ahead to tell me he was on his way He inspected and found problem quickly Part was replaced A/C was up and running. He was professional and extremely personable. I felt I could trust him to do only the work I requested, but believe he would have told me if there was another issue. I will definitely call again when necessary.

They are probably the best air conditioning people I have ever worked with, and quite possibly the best service providers in general I have ever used. They are great people, and they do great work. Their prices are very good, and they are honest and available. They are just very nice and friendly people.

They are a family run business and are very nice people to work with. They have great competitive prices and have actually come in lower with their quotes than other companies. They are very honest and professional.

Mr. Hilliard did an incredible job from start to finish. He sat down with us and gave a free estimate based on our needs. Once we agreed on the equipment and pricing, he was able to fit us into his schedule. He and his crew were very courteous when it came to the work itself. They rolled out carpets to protect ours and wore covers on their shoes. They were also very respectful and took the time to show us and explain the new unit. He also gave us a few new filters for our new system. Overall I am extremely satisfied with the work he performed. It has made a tremendous difference in the comfort of our home.
