Description of Work: Archie and his crew retextured and repainted the interior of a 3/2 house located in North Dallas. They removed and retextured the popcorn ceilings which brought the house "out of the 80's". Extensive remodeling was done in the house to repair water and termite damage and to remove other remnants that were popular in the 80's such as paneling and wallpaper. On the outside, most of the exterior soffit and fascia suffered from dry rot and water damage. This area needed to be replaced and painted. Archie and his crew replaced the exterior wood and painted it to match the siding.

Description of Work: My husband and I had several holes that needed patched. We found Golden Key Drywall through other neighbors who use them as well. They were on time which was refreshing and very cost effective. We loved their friendliness and were amazed with the results. We still use them for interior painting.

Description of Work: Called on a sunday expecting to leave a voicemail but they answered. Needed someone to spray texture on the wall we had built and the owner sent his son on a sunday and the son did an AMAZING job especially for $250. The owner acted weird towards his son and told me personal things about his past that I'm certain the son did not want revealed. You can sense the tension in the room. I let that slide and let them finish. The son was AMAZING, even mopped the entire floor downstairs where he walked in and out and sprayed down the sidewalk to the car in case anything dripped. The work was perfect. Called the owner the next day and asked if the son can come back and paint and he said $250 for the room but he will send his retired brother and painter. They came and it took them 4 days to paint the room. They said the metallic paint was the cause of so many coats but he honored the $250 price tag. We recently had some crown and new baseboards put in and everything was that off white color, I asked for him to paint it all a pure white and I will provide the paint. He said $2,700 including the doors and front door. I negotiated it down to $2,500 after calling other painters and they wanted $2,200. I knew their work is good and they could paint the next day so we went with Golden Key Drywall. I noticed they tried to paint around the door handles instead of taking them off. I took off a few myself and showed them how easy it was and they said they would continue taking the rest off. Long story short, they did not take the door handles off and there is still paint on some of them, the brand new hardwood flooring that was put in a week before had spot of paint here and there, they said no big deal and they will clean it up but never did. They also missed painting the other side of the garage door and the pantry and closet door, I did not notice the color change till about a month later when I was working around the house. I called Archie to see who would he recommend to put stain on the cabinet doors that we had sanded and prepped for staining. He came by and looked at the work and said $300, I was shocked and said when can you start. The next day he arrived with two guys and let me know they were his nephews. The 2 day job took over a week and they guys broke a door and took it home and tried to fix it themselves. Eventually they called me over to see the work and I said its horrible and it looks like you gobbed a handful of gel stain onto the door and smeared it around and it has drip marks now and they are dried. We went through each door and 80% of them were horrible and the rest needed some work too. Later that afternoon they told me their boss (Archie) called them to meet him and to call him to schedule when to come back. I called and he said they will not be coming back and that his nephews cannot complete the task. I asked for him to send his son or brother since they came and did good work, especially his son. He said his son moved away ( I wonder why) and his brother quit and they do not talk anymore. I asked what happens now and he said he will do me the favor and not charge me for the work done. I laughed and said the work done is going to cost me a bunch of money to get it allllllllllllll sanded off not to mention the $300 in stain. He said "we both lost money in this deal so..." I was shocked he responded like that.

Description of Work: Bathroom needed drywalled and texture

Description of Work: Remove popcorn (acoustic) ceilings in multiple rooms, re-texture ceilings, and paint. Prime and paint bathroom cabinets. Install recessed lighting.

Description of Work: One of my rental properties had several severe drywall cracks that needed repair. Some of the rooms needed the walls and ceilings completely re-textured and repainted and some just needed partial re-texturing. All the ceilings and walls needed to be repainted.

Description of Work: Archie helped me coordinate drywall and tape/bed texture installation for entire house remodel. Archie and his crew then painted entire house (ceilings and walls) as well as doors and trim.

Description of Work: Golden Key Drywall cut a hole in our ceiling so that an electrician could install an exhaust fan. They came back after the electrician finished the work and replaced the ceiling sheetrock, textured and painted to match.

Description of Work: Provide, install, and finish 1/2" drywall for a bathroom. In addition, after another company installed a new tile floor in the bathroom, return to the jobsite and install new baseboards, casement molding, paint walls, ceiling, and touch up the paint on the new trim. The total surface area for the drywall in the bathroom was approximately 350 square feet.

Description of Work: I wanted to roof over two skylights on south side of house and needed to fill in ceiling with wood paneling. Archie's crew completed the work and did an excellent job of doing so.
