I called at 9 AM, they confirmed a time between 3-6 PM the same day, they called at 3:15 and said the technician is on his way, he arrived about 30 minutes later. He asked me a few questions about the behavior of the unit and then he went in the attic and worked for about 35 or 40 minutes. He came down and said most likely the problem was the "flame detector" not detecting flame and thus the unit turning off for safety reasons. He cleaned the flame detector during this time in the attic and said that would most likely fix the problem but possibly the problem will recur and if so call him back and he will replace the flame detector. It has been more than one week since he was here and the problem is totally fixed without me calling a second time. The technician was polite, clean, and professional.

I found another company to be responsive and ready to come out immediately. I would recommend them any day over Dring.

I have used Dring three times and each time the people they sent out was pleasant and professional. They are very responsive and are willing to give suggestions.

We recently purchased a home in Denton, TX. The air conditioning system was original to the house, inefficient and looked ready to quit at any time. We contacted Dring after finding them right here on Angie's List. Rocky in sales was professional, start to finish. He made two trips to our home to assess our current system and to recommend a cost effective replacement (the next lowest bid was substantially higher although based on a larger system). The installation technicians were also professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Eight hours after they arrived, we were cooling down with a new, high-efficiency system. No high pressure sales, punctual installers and great follow through, what more could you ask for?

I found a water leak in the attic. Drain pan was leaking under AC unit. Technician came out same day and explained how the system is designed to work and corrected problem.

I think that they are always very honest and they never try to sell me any more than what I need. They have always been very reliable and on time. I have been using them for years and I do not need a contract with them.

Steve and Arsemio arrived early the first morning and did all of the prep work to install the flexduct on the second day. Upon completion Alberto was called in for a technical issue. He quickly troubleshot the problem and replaced a defective heat sequencer. My AC system has never worked better!

I thought that the guy they sent out was very good at his job and was very professional. I have absolutely no complaints about this company and would highly recommend them.

They did a fine job as they always do with the work itself. There was a problem with scheduling this time however. They said they would be out between 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., then called at 6:00 p.m. to say they were running late, then again at 6:30 p.m. to say they couldn't come at all that day. This was quite inconvenient.

Dring's was very prompt, did exactly what they said they would do and were very tidy in their work. They used drop cloths and hauled away everything when the job was done.

Dring came to help us faster than any other company would. They determined that it was a circuit board problem so they completely replaced it. In case they were wrong about their diagnostic work, they left our old circuit board at my home for us. I thought that was really nice. I liked this company a lot.

The problem was simple to resolve, but instead of just fixing it and going to the next call, he stayed to check out the system to make sure it was functioning correctly. I was impressed they worked late, without extra charges and that he arrived when scheduled.

Our A/C unit did not uniformly cool our 1980's house as the front (east) side of the house is cooler than the back (west). Originally we called them to check on our A/C unit as summer in Texas is fast approaching. While the service man was here, we asked if there was a way to fix the uneven cooling in the house. He went back into our attic to find 1. no dampers and 2. kinks in our ducts. A long story short, they installed dampers, intstalled Y joints, sealed our ducts, and repaired the ducts by elevating them in key areas. This has COMPLETELY fixed our problem. If anything, the back is now too cool They said they will come back to reset dampers as we wish. We're just waiting for the heat to come so we can better determine what is more comfortable for us.

During the first visit to determine the problem, the technician was very professional. He explained the problem with the pilot/igniter assembly. I was not charged for this first visit. The part was not in the company inventory, but a representative called me later with a price quote of $591 for parts & installation (including a 10% Angie's List discount on the part). Two weeks later, another technician came to install the part. I also asked him to check the air conditioning for leaks. He reported that the evaporator coil was leaking in several areas and recommended replacing it. He also said that a dryer unit on the outside should also be replaced. He left a quote of $1552, which included a 10% Angie's List discount. We had that repair done a week later. The technician also spent time looking at the duct work and answering our questions on improving the cooling in certain parts of the house.

I've had very large electric bills each winter, $530 was the biggest, and own a one story 1400 square foot townhome. I thought my heater was going out and that was the reason for the big bills. I told Polo that I had had an electrician come out and the meter checked by TXU to see where the usage was coming from. This poor guy was sweating bullets in the attic and spent two hours at my house checking the motors, coils and you name it but gave my heater a clean bill of health. I was sure I was going to be hit with a whopper estimate for a new heater but he said it was fine and saved me $200 by having me sign up for the maintenance contract which included all he did. Thanks Dring! I'll keep looking for the source of the high bills.

Great. Recently hired Dring for seasonal maintenance plan after an Angie's List search & years of negative experience with other HVAC folks. Their fall service was excellent. Came home from 3 days gone during winter storms/ice to find furnace & thermostat out of sync. Since I had some heat, elected not to go with emergency service. Placed call @ 5:30 AM, received call back at 7:00, tech was here by 7:45. Fearing the worst, I was more than pleasantly surprised when Steve was able to diagnose and fix the problem, which turned out to be relatively minor. He also offered good tips on troubleshooting and maintenance, AND astutely noticed that my water heater flue in the same closet had come loose (causing a potential carbon monoxide hazard). He even reassembled the flue for no extra charge. Excellent service for far less than I expected to pay. Another *super* Angie's list "find"!

Steve evaluated our furnace and discovered several areas that needed work because of improper installation. He installed the door for filter, which had been sealed shut. He then created a door for the slot into which the filter had been forced. He sealed this with tape, painted duct paint on this repair, and then sealed and painted other areas that were leaking air. He inspected the attic heating vents, then changed the directions of the vents in the house. He did this work after going to my daughter's house to inspect her furnace. He did the analysis thoroughly and even noticed that she was missing a cap on the roof of her home, causing rain damage. He was amazingly thorough and had a very good work ethic.

They did approach the problem from a ductwork point of view, and did a lot more checking than other companies, which I appreciated.

The associate arrived early, answered my all of my questions, and offered advice on how to better manage my systems between schedule maintenance visits. I appreciated not hard selling their maintenance program.

Nice, polite, clean-cut young man came to house on-time. He quickly determined what was needed and completed all work very efficiently. I had a few other questions about my AC which he gladly answered. I decided I wanted these guys as my AC team so I got them on an annual service contract ($179) which is included in the total cost above.

I was very impressed. They were right on time and very thorough. He told me about their service contract which is a better deal so I signed up for that. I was very happy with their service and recommend them to others.

I called the company because my air conditioning system had failed late on a hot summer evening. I received a call back from a courteous man who informed me that the company did not perform after hours service for first time customers. I was told to call some other provider.

The experience in general was great. Everyone I worked with was professional, prompt, and knowledgeable. They are reasonably priced, but most of all I felt that they were honest. My only issue was on the first service call, they claimed that they showed up at 8am and no one was home, but my husband was sitting <15 feet from the door. They corrected the problem quickly when notified and got a tech to our house the same day. I will use them every time I have an AC issue.

Overall, my experience was good. However, they did not show up on the original date and time. I did receive a call one hour late stating they could not find the house. I did not hear back, so I called the emergency number, and they came out the next day.

Showed up on time and did a good job. I called them prior to Memorial Day thinking they would have pre-season prices, but they stop offering pre-season rates at end of April, so I had to pay the higher prices. I'll be sure to call them in March or April next year.
